Negative experience: We dealt with Marianne Bonnello , we found her very helpful and she put together an enjoyable Hawaiian stay and cruise for our 50th Wedding Anniversary. The cruise line even acknowledged our anniversary celebration. We very much appreciate the extent of her efforts.

Fantastic experience: We booked a trip to Secrets Tides in the Dominican with Maryann Bonilla 2 months ago. The trip and resort was so amazing that we booked a second visit there for later this year. Maryann was outstanding. She is not only friendly and professional, but looks for the best, most affordable options to fit your needs. No up sale, just solid information to help you make the best choices for you. She was very prompt in following up with any questions we had. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Fantastic experience: We have dealt with Maryann a few times over the years and it is usually quite a large group of us travelling. She has been great always handling all the issues and questions that come when you deal with a lot of people. She has always looked after us and we have never had a problem on our vacation. She is pleasant to deal with and very thorough. We will definitely deal with her again.

Fantastic experience: I was hesitant to do an entire booking online so I went through Maryann at Transat Travel in Fairview Mall. I'm glad I did. She caught a couple of things I would have missed on my own. I will surely see her again next year for my next vacation to a sunny destination in Feb/March.

Negative experience: My wife and I settled on booking our trip through Transat Travel to avoid any stress or complications that comes with planning a vacation. When we arrived we were greeted by Maryann, who helped us pick a destination and start the booking process. A mistake was made on her end when entering our passport details which led to a snowball effect of things going wrong. We were assured it would all be ok and she would call a few days later to pick up the tickets, aside from that all we had to do was “check into the airline to pick our seats and check into the country of travel”. The day came and she called, but by the time I got to Transat Travel she had gone home sick and didn’t inform us. Another employee was able to help me get them, but informed me that it is NOT my responsibility to check myself into the airline OR country, and that the service is included with the price I paid Maryann. (Additional fee was charged separate from the trip for that exact service, but we were not told) I had my third and final appointment to do that check in process, and AGAIN had my information typed incorrectly. This time I was told “there’s nothing she can do” and that I had to settle it all the day of at the airport. There is a lot of stress when travelling as it is, and this was only made worse by knowing there would be issues immediately. I am very disappointed in the service I was given and in the future I’ll be booking my own trips/use another company to avoid this unnecessary headache.

Negative experience: Tried to book a vacation, nobody ever answered the phone. Ended up booking with someone else.
Fantastic experience: We used to book Sunwing but had nothing but problems, now with Transat we have had zero problems. Nothing is perfect but Sunwing had a 60% flight delay or cancellation with us, which is unacceptable.
Negative experience: Went through 3 different agents. Price goes up every time you speak with them. Even after they give you a price and a deadline it goes up before the deadline.
Hi Chris, thanks for your review. Yes this is indeed the case nowadays with flights and travel packages. Prices fluctuate minute to minute. Your quoted price is confirmed once you make deposit on the flight or package.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Went in to inquire about a package to Costa Rica. Agent didn't ask any questions on what we wanted to do, where we were interested in going etc. Just asked for dates and told us the prices. Could have done that on my own at home. In fact I got a cheaper price doing it from home through expedia. Thanks for nothing. Surprised this agency is still in business.

Negative experience: Since my travel agent left, this place does not look after your needs. They are closed and non accessible on weekends. Poor service, will never return to this location again.

Positive experience: Was ok, food was great, but I was low on cash, I tip all I had on me 5 bucks , the waiters look the five dollars look at me rather serious, sarcastically said said was my serive ok to you and walk Way, I felted embarrassed, I would tip more if I had money.

Negative experience: I bought a refundable travel package from them 3 years ago & it became canceled because of the pandemic & they supposed to return my money but after almost 3 years & according to several follow ups they’ve not refunded yet & even don’t give me a timeline for this refund, I don’t recommend this travel agency especially because Claudia works there.

Negative experience: I would not recommend working with this company. My husband and I went in to book a family vacation. Received great information, but there was an issue with the booking site, so she said she would contact us to follow up. We never heard from her. I followed up once and she basically said that once she knew, we would know. We were prepared to book a $5000 + vacation. Very disappointing. Book online yourself. A lot less hassle

Negative experience: Terrible Service Claudia is extremely unprofessional and lazy ! My mom booked her flight in August for a trip that was supposed to be on December 14th The trip was changed to 9 15 my mom missed her flight because her travel agent Claudia doesnt want to do her job properly and review the flight info before printing a ticket . We arrived at 10 to find out the trip that was printed didnt exist. My mom who is 60 needs Surgery and is physically disabled and was stuck at the airport for over 19 hours !!!!! We had to constantly call Claudia to figure out whats was going, she claimed to be on hold all day trying to figure out what was going on. Did not provide ANY solution to the problem then called around 4 and said the day was almost done and theres nothing she could do.which is crazy because thats literally her job and was paid a fee to do so. My mom ended up in tears and this lady at west jet helped her within 20 minutes Claudia was not sympathetic at all only deflecting the blame from her self . She claims she sent the issues up to the managers and told my mom to get a hotel and keep the records for possible refund My mother had to go get another covid test because her results were no longer valid My mom was unable to go to test centre in the airport do to her disability and its a far walk with her luggage so she had to cab to a shoppers and wait in the cold for the results then continue to wait in the freezing cold airport all night until morning for her new flight My mom is now exposed to numerous individuals due to the constant traffic in the airport in a pandemic !!! All because Claudia doesnt want to do her job and takes zero responsibility for her actions ! ABSOLUTELY WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I'VE WITNESSED

Negative experience: My god i couldnt believe someone working there dont know how to welcome clients. We say customers are god . Claudia dont know how to say hello or good morning. She didnt even told us to have a seat. Its my husband who has to ask her can we have a seat. She looks like she dont hear. I was so disappointed by her behaviour. I will never go there again nor will i tell my friends to go there.

Negative experience: Tried to book a wedding through this agency - they were recommended to me but the wedding specialist had since been replaced and I did not get attentive service considering lots of business that is offered with a wedding! I waited weeks between responses and my questions often weren't even answered. Not sure what happened there...but I decided to go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here today and I find these the negative reviews very surprising. After a short wait I was welcomed by Petra, and she was willing to spend the time with me and helped me to book a trip to Cuba. Her suggestions were useful as well as she seemed to be familiar with the area. She took the time to explain the the booking in detail, and after the booking was done she sent an email to confirm a few extra details. I would easily recommend this business, and plan on returning.

Negative experience: Came in with my family to try and get some information about a trip. There was only one agent working and she was talking to another couple. We patiently waited for about about 45 minutes for her to finish with the current clients. The reason for the low rating is because she never acknowledged us, never said 'hi' or even said "I'll be with you shortly" or "come back in half an hour" it was terrible customer service. We ended up leaving and going to the Flight Centre and got better and prompt service there. I would say avoid this place unless you like being ignored.
Negative experience: Wow, Petra Buding at Fairview mall Transat Travel is one of the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with in my life! I have never wrote a review on a place but the experience I had was so astonishing, especially for a person who works in face to face customer service and over the phone customer service. My cousin is in the process of planning his wedding in Mexico, the deposit is due in April (May now but thats besides the point) I emailed Ms.Buding on January 26 I did not recieve a response to my request for information so I could arrange my finances and schedule till March 6th. Ms. Buding then infomred me that she had other things that took more priority then simply shooting me an email with the information i requested. She then began a sob story on how she works 12 hour days and still can't find enough time to do everything she needs to .... well hunny that's not my problem if you can't time manage yourself and prioritize people who are about to spend almost $2000 on a trip that is a LIFE EVENT, not just a stupid march break trip for $400. On top of that comment she said: "I'm also doing this on my day off in hopes to get caught up" excuse me? What do I care if you're working on your day off and even if you are you do not tell the client this! What was she looking for sympathy? I recommend not booking with this lady who clearly is so unprofessional she has to resort to looking for sympathy for taking on too much work. She has now forced me to begin planning my own trip instead of being able to stay with my whole family at the resort. Thank you so much Petra and Transat for completely ruining a week that was suppose to be taken care of and looked after, a week that I should be spending with my family but due to people negligence and unprofessional demeanor I now have to stress about getting myself there to be able to celebrate someone who is important in my life.
Negative experience: DO NOT GO HERE TO BOOK A TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My wife was treated very rudely when she went to pick up our tickets the day before leaving for our trip. she was just handed the tickets.There was no thank you,have a nice trip...no nothing.She was handed the tickets and all he said was here are your tickets.....very rude and very unprofessional. The resort that we went to was highly recommended and I personally would not recommend this resort.The doors do not fit very well in the units and the wind comes whistling through the doors making it hard to sleep at night. Many things about our trip were left unexplained and we haven't travelled for years so we are very inexperienced.They took advantage of this. Very rude service at the agency. We probably would have upgraded our trip if given the option but this was not even offered so as a result,when we arrived in Cuba,we were famished because no food is given on the plane unless you want to pay a small fortune They are not professional,they are rude and they are very uncaring I would not even use these idiots to rent a car I will NEVER use this agency again.EVER EVER EVER!! I can not stress enough as to how poorly we were treated
