Fantastic experience: Rachel A. was very sweet and helpful!
Negative experience: I was very clearly not welcome. I visited Maritime Travel in the Bedford Mall seeking a last-minute Christmas gift - a trip down south with my wife. I’m a busy CEO, frequent business traveller, and in dire need of a break. While I book most of my travel by myself (I’ve flown more than 50 times in 2023), it would have been nice to get some assistance, especially given the hectic holiday season. When I arrived, I was greeted with great skepticism, more like a look of being in the wrong place. When I asked about a trip, the response was “do we know where we’re travelling, and specifically when we’re travelling?” Yes “we” do and “we” are very flexible. Budget was also not a concern. When I said I was flexible but would like to go to Jamaica sometime in February, I was told “well, we’re closing soon. You’ll have to come come back.” They were still open another 45 minutes and we could have started putting plans in place. Very awkward encounter that was so reminiscent of old school Nova Scotia where some people are not welcome based on their looks. I very clearly wasn’t. With few travel agencies around these days, one would think every customer is valued. Lesson learned. I’ll gladly book elsewhere or online myself, and not return to Maritime Travel. A disappointing shame. And deeply hurtful.

Fantastic experience: Great friendly customer service
Fantastic experience: Emily Sutherland is the absolute best! She was so understanding and helpful with all of my needs, she made booking my trip so easy and stress free. She went above and beyond to provide me with a positive experience, she was timely, extremely kind, and very professional. I can’t thank Emily enough for everything she did for me, she will be my go to gal for anything travel related. I will definitely be back!
Negative experience: Very unprofessional, booked a vacation with them and had to change at last minute refused to help at all. When I called the airline we had the flights with they had placed another on our file telling them not to provide assistance.
Fantastic experience: Dealt with Melanie for a trip to Punta Cana. She basically did it allfor me. Cannot thank her enough! Had a great trip too!

Negative experience: absolutely rude and very unprofessional staff, employees literally looked away when i simply asked a question. 10/10 never recommend them

Fantastic experience: Great if you want someone to help you book a big cruise, all inclusives and possibly some very commercialized tours. The advantage to booking through a brick and mortar travel agency instead of over the internet, is that you get to meet face to face with someone who will explain all the details to you. They also tend to have better customer service because of that personal relationship one develops as opposed to just working with a machine (which may not have your best interests at heart)
