Treitz Haus: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Wooooooow.. what a warm welcome from the tourist hostesses in a building I enjoyed exploring! We took advantage of our time there to pick up some brochures and have a picnic dinner in the park by the river! It was a lovely break for our day.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful sunrise view
Positive experience: No parking for vehicles with a trailer.
Fantastic experience: Nice spot to relax.
Fantastic experience: Magnificent place to see the tidal bore. A small tip: go there when the moon is full, the wave is much more impressive. We did some boondocking in the police station parking lot, in a corner so as not to disturb, and we weren't disturbed either. The most important thing in boondocking is not to leave any trash or trace.
Positive experience: We received most of the information from a local resident. The tourist center did not provide us with detailed information at all and only answered what we asked.
Fantastic experience: Nice visitors Center. Great staff, beautiful location.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful and interesting house, Moncton's oldest standing heritage building (c. 1769)

Thank you for taking the time to share your review of the Treitz Haus! It is surely a bonus if you get to see the Tidal Bore while you visit. A tidal bore, is a tidal phenomenon in which the leading edge of an incoming tide forms a wave (or waves) of water that travels up a river or narrow bay against the direction of the river or bay’s current. The tidal bore in Moncton is caused when the unparalleled tides in the Bay of Fundy begin to make their way up the historic Petitcodiac River. The Bay of Fundy is home to the highest tides in the world and over 100 billion tonnes of water comes in and out of the bay each day!
Fantastic experience: The two attendants there were very nice and knowledgable.
