Negative experience: On January 22 my husband and I had an appointment to see one of the agents at Around the World. We wanted to book tickets to go to a family's wedding in Egypt then going to Greece for 5 days before coming home. We decided to try out a travel agent this time because it was the first time taking a trip like this with 2 kids, and we wanted to make sure that if anything is delayed or cancelled we could get support in finding the best options. After our appointment the agent said she would contact us either at the end of that day or the next day. We never heard anything back, even though the agent and I had been emailing before the appointment. We ended up having to book our tickets with Expedia because we needed to get the tickets as soon as possible. The agent was also told we needed to get the tickets in the next day or two. That was the first and last time I'll be going to a Travel Agent office.

Negative experience: Unfortunately they were not able to come through with the pricing they quoted me. I think they made an effort to rectify but it just didn't work out. Maybe next time.

Fantastic experience: Thank you Kathy Maclellan! Kathy was so helpful, informative and understanding. We are travels from Australia and we booked our tickets tickets through Flight Centre. We were preparing to head home and were confused about how to get PCR Covid test in time for our flight. Flight Centre were not taking calls and had closed down all Vancouver Island locations. I nervously walked into Around the world, knowing I had not purchased my tickets through them. Kathy was so sympathetic to our situation and gave me clear and simple instructions on what to do. Fantastic experience: I recently booked a last minute trip to Maui and Lyssa was a great help! We had the flights booked within a day and at a great price, I really appreciated that she was able to help me find a flight within my limited budget! She even gave me her contact info in case I needed any help while I was gone. I will definitely book with her again in the future.

Negative experience: Asked Lyssa about flights to Malta never heard back, that is 2 weeks ago.

Had the pleasure of dealing with Karen on my first trip in, but have since spoken with both Cathy and Lisa and both are friendly and full of info! Highly recommend this full service agency and to avoid their competitor down the road (Flight Center) .
