Positive experience: Even though we didn't see the icebergs, I still had a great time.

Fantastic experience: Was hosting folks from across the country and booked this tour. Incredible service and professionalism. Also, many members of the group had never been to the island before and said that to get to go in and out of the narrows was an unforgettable experience! Would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: On a recent vacay to Canada, my family and I signed up for a whale watching adventure with Quest in St. John's, Peir 6. Unfortunately, due to a huge glitch on MY part, we weren't able to go. I called the company and explained my situation.Talk about kindness, empathy and top notch service! I spoke with one of the owners who was quick to work with us and solve the problem! While we weren't able to go (big disappointment), whenever we get back to the area, it's at the top of our list to make this adventure a reality! Thank you, Quest, for beautiful customer service and just for being great people!

Positive experience: My experience goes to two parts: 1. There is no whale standing there and waiting for people to come over and then they show themselves. Seemed to me there was a radar and they could realize how many whales around. But to see them, is another story which mainly depends on your luck! I only saw some part of whales’ backs, THAT IS IT. However, there were white eagle we could saw far away which HAVING A PROFESSIONAL CAMERA COULD BE VERY HELPFUL. Also saw some puffins which were super cute, specifically when you see it beside whales! 2. Staff on board, super nice, welcome and provided fun atmosphere during one-hour tour. They explained history of city and all facilities at harbor. Patiently helped kids and senior people. By the way, 95$ is the fee before tax : ) As a conclusion, to see whales as expected, seems different tours have to be taken @ different times, @ different places, with different companies.

Fantastic experience: This is such a beautiful way to see classic St Johns tourist spots from a new perspective! The tour includes stunning views and is packed with information about local marine life, unique geographical features as well as Newfoundland heritage and history. The crew are safety oriented and full of stories and fun facts. Sailor Glenn was especially entertaining and helpful during the tour.

Although we missed the whales the crew pointed out lots of bird life along the way and gave us lots of interesting facts about whales and Newfoundland. It was so relaxing. Fantastic experience: We called them in the morning and they had us in a tour for the afternoon. Great communication and coordination by their team. One of the ship mates Glen helped make the experience better with his friendly nature and adding information about the locations and wildlife. Great time!! Definitely check this out!

Fantastic experience: We travelled from Bancroft Ontario to St John’s Newfoundland to get a feel for this great province. Our second day we took a chance on a boat excursion and had a great time. Despite being not in the prime viewing season for whales. Icebergs and sea birds, the crew gave us a great ocean quest adventure. We enjoyed fairly calm seas and saw tremendous scenery and sunfish the size of a small cars. It is a small world when a crew member on the boat knows some of our friends back in Ontario Thank you Glenn , captain Barry and the rest of the crew. Fantastic experience: It was worth every penny. We were enlightened with the history of the area, the beautiful scenery on the water. Although it wasn't whale season, we were brought to see those wonderful puffins. The captain gave the narrative but our host Glen was a true Newfoundlander charmer and filled the gaps with interesting facts. He also led us through the Screeching ceremony and made us (me, my wife, friends and other passengers) honorary Newfoundlanders. It was a fun time. Everyone on the ship was so knowledgeable when it came to landscape, history and geography of the coast. The Captain was incredibly skilled and involved during the tour! Fantastic experience: The boat tour we took was amazing. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They rescheduled our original tour to ensure we had good weather which was very accommodating. The experience was lovely and very welcoming!

Fantastic experience: Just a phenomenal time! A beautiful trip with lots of information and amazing views. The crew was lovely and Glenn in particular made us feel incredibly welcome. We saw a sunfish and many birds, but the real joy was being on the ocean.

Fantastic experience: The staff really made this tour special. Went out of their way to take pictures, include us in a screech ceremony, shower us with friendly compliments, made sure we all had suncreen. The tour itself was also wonderful - the most relaxed I have ever felt was being out on the ocean here. We saw plenty of whales and puffins and enjoyed traditional newfie music on board. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: We went for our very first time and second time in one day!! Such a breath taking experience - and we didn't even see icebergs or humpbacks. We did see fin-back whales, minke whales, puffins, seagulls, other sea birds, and a bald eagle though! The captain and crew were super duper friendly and knowledgeable. I love being on the water and had wanted to do this tour for several years now. Hoping to get out for the third time while still on holidays!! Fantastic experience: What an amazing tour - we loved every minute of it! All of the guides were extremely friendly and made us laugh. Glenn in particular was welcoming, kind, and made us feel special. And we saw at least a dozen whales - icing on the cake! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: The experience with the Iceberg Quest team was something special. Seeing multiple whales was in itself magical, but it was the crew that took it to a once in a lifetime memorable experience. The effort they made to get to know guests, make them feel welcome (at times it felt like talking to one of my favourite family members) and frequent check ins with how we were going took this trip to the top tier. Words do not do them justice, it was the highlight of my holiday.

Fantastic experience: Wow! No one can control mother nature, and make whales appear, but our tour was the best of human nature. Iceberq Quests team led so ably and energetically by Glenn, took us on an uplifting adventure, a surreal sunset tour, on a perfect vessel. They really delivered; whales and nature galore and an unforgettable experience!!

Fantastic experience: It was a fantastic experience the Captain and staff were very informative and friendly. I would like to thank the Captain and staff who made sure everyone got a good view of the whales and were comfortable and safe throughout the tour. The whales gave us a spectacular show, I have never seen any better even from TV shows. They entertained us for at least an hour and then went under our boat and swam off as we headed back to the dock completely satisfied and happy with our tour.

Fantastic experience: The captain and crew were wonderful and very knowledgeable of the area, the animals, and the history. The whales were shy, and none were leaping out of the water, but we still got to see them. I had signed up for the screech in, but the guy who did the ceremony was unable to because of an injury. I was disappointed, but not his or anyone's fault, so still 5 stars from me. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: This is a nice tour, the crew is very kind and helpful. Although we were not lucky and didn't see the whale and puffins due to the weather, the crew did their best closing to the cliffs so we can have better views and we did enjoyed the two hour boat tour. Also like to note that we booked this tour online and the booking process is easy with clear information.

Fantastic experience: Late May trip. We booked them at St. John where we sailed south on a tour of the incredible coast and had a great time with Glenn. Then we drove 5 hours NW to Twillingate where we booked them again for an iceberg viewing experience which was simply extraordinary.

Fantastic experience: Iceberg Quest boat tours is a top notch run business. Very very professional with well trained friendly staff. Would recommend being screeched in and booking while live music is being played on board. This was our favourite event on our 4 day trip to NFLD. Don’t skip this tour you won’t be disappointed!!!

We had experience fantastic views of the icbergs. You have to try the rum: double or triple with 12 thousand old ice "chips",and play music with ugly sticks!!! Fantastic experience: We were welcomed aboard on unusually sunny day. Captain Barry Rogers and his crew were knowledgeable, entertaining and fun. Our group included 10 year olds to 75+ year olds and all were safe and comfortable. We saw and followed 4 Humpback whales!!!!! Best whale watching I have ever done. The whales were playful and Captain Rogers capitalized on his knowledge so the pod put on a show of slapping and tail dives. It was great!! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: This was a great tour with very friendly staff. Was nice to be able to chat with the staff without feeling like we were wasting their time or they were forced to talk to us. Great workers with lots of knowledge! We came in with a large trailer and they helped us to park it - thank you, thank you. We didn’t see much (1 eagle, birds and a seal) but it was still worth the ride. It was nice to see Cape Spear from that side of the water and it is crazy how the harbour entrance is so hidden once you leave out to sea. There are snacks you can buy on board as well as drinks. They screeched a few in and our kids were delighted to be a part of it - really made their day - Thank you The boat and facilities were very clean and there was lots of room to manoeuvre around and space inside if you got cold. I highly recommend Iceberg Quest tours

Fantastic experience: This tour delivered! We saw a minke whale feeding just as we left the harbour, and spent loads of time with a mother and calf humpback whale as they fed and played. Also, tons of puffins, gannets, kittiwakes, and more sea birds. So fun!

Too late in the season for whales, puffins or icebergs but the scenery is breathtaking and the stories about the island and wildlife is super informative. We did see some bald eagles, which was fantastic! I would do this trip again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic experience: The boat tour was very enjoyable, with snacks and beer, and musician on the tour. We went mid August hoping to see some whales, but didn't see any. We could see maybe 3 puffins in total floating in the water from quite far that you would never be able to see in photos. We could see lots of seagulls and few other birds. The boat tour was great, view was amazing, but if you're buying tickets to see whales, it's not guaranteed that you will see any, you probably won't unless you're going mid April to May and are very lucky. So, good luck!

Fantastic experience: AMAZING! Had a great afternoon tour. Too late in the season for icebergs but the whales put on a show for us. Lots of breaching and fin waves from several humpbacks. The crew is entertaining and engaging. They worked hard to make sure everyone got great views. Glen was just terrific working the crowd. Arthur O'Brien serenading everyone with some local tunes, extra impressive to be able to do it through the rocking of the boat. Even some on board screech ins. Something I will remember forever. Thank you all, I definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Had an absolutely wonderful time onboard the boat. Glen and the musician kept the party going the entire time and Nathan kicked in with descriptions and the history of significant things that we were passing.

Fantastic experience: All the crew were wonderful!! No whales but we saw a large sunfish and a couple of Bald eagles… and though he kept a low profile, Sting was on board with us!!! Getting schreeched in was fun too!!

Fantastic experience: Got to see some whales, and even puffins! Very nice staff. They helped me out when I fell seasick. Grab some Gravol just in case, along with some cash, they don't have a credit card terminal for drinks. They serve alcohol.
