Fantastic experience: Get your IDP in minutes

Negative experience: Was on hold for 2 hours (with the last 40 minutes their system telling me I was next in line), and at the 2 hour mark it hung up on me. Completely unacceptable customer service.

Negative experience: Worst experience with towing a car. They wouldn't tow a car which I just purchased only because it wasn't insured. I drove all the way to St. Thomas in order to get the car towed to Windsor.

Fantastic experience: My daughter recently dealt with Tammy at Windsor store CAA for travel insurance. She is an amazing employee very knowledgeable and has a lovely personality.. very kind and approachable.

Negative experience: Would give zero stars if I could. Hit a deer on the 4th of July. Took my truck to the dealership to get repaired. It is now the 6th of September and my truck has been done for WELL over a month and this company will not pay the dealership. So they are quick to take your money but refuse to pay for any repairs. They should pay for my payment since I haven’t had my vehicle in over 2 months. They are scam artists

Negative experience: PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE DOING ANY BUSINESS WITH CAA We've had a Premium Membership with CAA for 2 years now and used it for the very first time the other day. Our tire was flat and I called to have the spare put on. The technician said no to me asking him to put it on twice and insisted on simply pumping the tire full of air and driving on it. He said it would be safe, common practice, and because we ran over a screw it was acting like a plug and we could easily get it repaired. We get to a Mr. Lube+ tires 4 minutes away and can then see damage all around the tire and are told that its coming apart from the inside out. We called to complain because he had refused to put on the spare tire, which may have saved us having to get an entirely new tire put on. We were told that the damage was done before the technician had arrived and he had noticed it, and they were not liable. If that was the case, why were we told it was safe to drive on it and that it would be a simple repair if there was clearly visible damage to the tire? After speaking on the phone with the local branch 5 times about my complaint, I was interrupted multiple times, bullied, called a liar, and received overall astonishingly unprofessional behavior that left me in tears. The last thing the man told me was that if I told anyone about my treatment that "no one would believe me". At that point I told him I was done with this conversation and hung up. Please consider this if you're thinking of doing business with them. I had no expectation of them to reimbursement in full for a new tire. I just wanted to voice my concerns and maybe get a break because the technician made an irresponsible call. I would have even taken getting my alotted number of allowed calls reset because this one clearly didn't go well but was offered no resolution, and no apology, even after speaking with head office. Be weary out there guys.

Negative experience: I called 10 numbers I was even on hold just to leave a message ,, all I wanted to do is sign my daughter up to driving school , your system sucks so the company probably sucks ,, I will never deal with this company again what if I had a emergency screw this place

Negative experience: Waste of time getting a quote for my house insurance today; they came in over TRIPLE the price what All-State ended up giving me - and about double what everyone else was offering me locally. Their home insurance rates are out of touch, I called about 15 insurance/brokers they were the most expensive by far.

Positive experience: Helpful people!

Fantastic experience: Wow did they ever make it easy for us to make travel plans overseas.

Negative experience: Never waste time getting a quote from them. They are among others that are about 50% more expensive than other insurance companies. They said $200 per month for my car in ontario while other companies gave me quotes around $130.

CAA's rates are considerably more reasonable than their competition (hence the reason I was there!) and Jillian's service was first rate! She's clearly well versed in the world of insurance and her service was very client-centred and friendly!

Negative experience: Unprofessional staff. Visually distraught that my wife and I wanted to go into the store at exactly 9 am. A staff member unlocked the doors and walked away. Not even attempting to hold the door or open it for us. Once inside the staff was all seated at their own desks and didn’t even acknowledge or greet us. As a CAA members we couldn’t wait to get our photos taken for our passports and leave. Going forward we will pay the extra cost to get our photos done elsewhere. Terrible customer service!!

Negative experience: I recently purchased The Premier CAA membership as I drive an older vehicle. My battery died on my car in LaSalle, and I called *222 to get a new battery. Which would be using their battery service that I paid for, they replied, We don't Service in LaSalle.... so what am I paying for then? Windsor is less than 5 min away I pay $150 to be told we can't drive from windsor to LaSalle to replace a battery. Quite upsetting

Negative experience: I did not set up my caa membership on an automatic debit and caa is trying to withdraw the membership fee from credit card. Your telephone solicitor needs to be fired since they spoke with my wife and not me and she only use a credit card for emergency and caa is not.

Negative experience: On Saturday afternoon around 5pm , I was at Dutton 401 ONRoute, with broken serpentine belt, call for a tow to windsor, said about 2 hours will arrive, around 7pm, dispatcher message me they are busy, and another two hours, then keep saying busy and someone was assigned and will come, at 10 pm, said hope you had better day and asked me to call, when I called, told me no one will come the night, I can have someone else towed and got reimbursed, however did not know how much maximum can be reimbursed and will call me let me know , I had a couple tow company offered $600 and $780 , but waiting for the amount can be reimbursed, so not take it, around 11pm , CAA text msg said someone will come 1am, so I waited again for CAA, the app said 1:39am, then 2am, then I called again, finally 3am arrived, the tow driver was friendly and apologized on behalf of CAA. be honest, the tow service itself was good it it was not waiting 9+ hours through the night. The problem was with the first dispatcher and the procedure of service, when a driver was assigned and not coming after 2 hours or their estimated time, it should reassign to another driver or contact the driver for availability, not let customer waiting 9+ hours through the midnight.

Just wanted to let them know that my name got misspelled on the card that they 've just issued, but there is no one there to talk with! Wondering how it's going to be like if I'll need road assistance... Btw, I have just paid my annual membership. That was easy !!!

Negative experience: My uncle had an accident last month. And until now they refuse to give him his check becasue they want him to do their job for them and get the police report himself. He returned the rental and theyre leaving him with no car. We have to keep picking him up and dropping him off places because these people cannot do their job. This is the worst experience hes ever had with any company. The service is awful.

Worst insurance company I have ever dealt with, they have poor customer service and they are not efficient, they will make claiming your claim a living nightmare. I would not trust CAA since they are not reliable whatsoever. Will make you wait MONTHS.

Negative experience: CAR INSURANCE From the second I got insurance from them it has been nothing but a hard time to the point where they will not respond to my emails they will only converse with my lien holder as if I am a I rate customer I lost my job because they took the rental car and didn’t provide me with a settlement check so I can get another car as I’m making this review I’m still going through this I cannot get answers to my questions for the life of me and this is because I was hit sitting at a red light waiting for it to turn green I tried to get out of the contract but of course I will be charged a penalty fee as I am treated so poorly I receive a letter in the mail asking me to get life insurance from them now I see how I’m treated when I’m alive how would they treat me when I’m dead I have been on hold for hours (3.5) at a time just to be told they are now closed I just don’t know what to do any more so I want to let people know the poor service they offer I was actually told I get one phone call a day

Negative experience: My name is Rusty Johnston, I have been a CAA Plus member since 1990, that's 32 years. My mother bought me the membership when I turned 16 and has continued to renew it ever year since. Im am currently locked out of my vehicle and find my self stranded on side of the road. I called CAA to come help me unlock my vehicle and their phone service says it will be a minimum of 30 minutes just to speak to an agent. It Friday sept 9,2022.... Ive been on hold now for 54 minutes. and still waiting for help. If this is the customer service they are providing on a seemingly nice day weather wise....how bad will the customer service be during the winter months. My daughter just started driving this year and was planning on buying her a membership as a Christmas present as my mother did for me but I must say I am extremely disappointed and will be canceling this service immediately! Ive entered my membership and downloaded the app and it says it incorrect. Would not recommend them to anyone!

Negative experience: No longer have paper ONTARIO booklets. And will discontinue them ALL when gone. Not all people have unlimited data for your online stuff. If so why pay for yours then when I can use other FREE online stuff. I won't renew next year because of this. I was told this AFTER I renewed my membership. I can get auto club from my Auto Insurance. CAA no value for my buck anymore.

I called after long wait caa operator's asked me 14 questions including the year the model the make the trim the the color the vin number ,license number then she went personality my name adress my phone my b'day my licence number etc etc 40 minuits on phone then I almost passing out from the heat it was 32 c and I told her but she was rude no one showed up for hours I had to call private towing and caa counted my call as being helped ....caa is is big joke waste of money and do not ever travel thinking u are in good hand..

Negative experience: Lady on the phone said 30-45 minutes for the tow at 9:35… I’m still waiting on the side of the road and it’s 10:55… this is ridicules I shouldn’t have to wait this long especially if the driver come late
