Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure of going on a 5-day tour in the Banff area with Westar Travel. We were very lucky to have had Lisa as our tour guide for the first two days, and Joe as our driver. Lisa was enthusiastic, passionate, and knowledgeable. It was obvious that Lisa was very familiar with the destinations, their history, and most importantly the best places in the area to eat. We made sure to try all of her recommendations. She was proficient in both Mandarin and English, ensuring that every customer would get the most out of the tour. Joe, our driver, was very very professional and kind. He drove very smoothly throughout the trip and made everyone feel safe. He also had very sharp eyes, pointing out all wildlife that he came across. He made sure to slow down so that everyone could get a good view and pictures of the wildlife. We very much enjoyed this tour, and would recommend everyone to take in these amazing sights with Westar Travel.

Fantastic experience: Me and my husband really enjoy our trip to Jasper with our tour guide, Michael. We are so lucky to see three bears in a day！The weather is nice too！ Michael is humor and funny. We laugh a lot. He knows name of the each mountains. Very kind and professional！He is very helpful to take a photos for us. We hope to have the chance to join westar's Michael group again！

Fantastic experience: Our guide Kelvin was great, he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the places we were shown. It was an incredible tour of the lakes of Banff and Johnston canyon. Kelvin was even kind enough to take pictures of us at the various stops. We will not forget this experience.

Fantastic experience: We joined 5-days Canadian Rockies tour with Westar travel in the beginning of September. It was a great tour experiences. Westar is one of the largest Canada travel agencies specializing in Rocky Mountains according to the tour guide. There were around 50 tourists on each bus each day. It might sound a huge number for group travel. Nevertheless, I am impressed on how Westar combines various tourist trip selections and different hotel accommodations organized and efficiently. For value-to-money experience, this is considering above average quality tour services. Our day one guide is Simon. He is calm and with clear instructions. Simon brought historical and cultural information for storytelling. We took Sulphuric mountain gondola to oversee the beauty of Banff surrounding, and took one hour hike at Johnston Canyon in the afternoon. The day two and three guide is Lisa, super experienced and detailed. Going to Jasper National park is long drive and mostly no internet service. Lisa was keeping an eye on all customers. I can tell her sincerity and dedication. We took special coach to Columbia icefield, and cruised at Malighne lake the next day. It was such a unique experience. Even though few hours rides on the way back to Banff was exhausting, this is still a highly recommended route. Thanks Lisa’s attendance so everyone was punctual and trip was smooth. The day four guide is Jamie. All tour guides are bilingual and instructed in both English and Mandarin fluently. Jamie especially stood out and showed her language talents and communicated clearly. Jamie is very nice, and perhaps a bit too nice, so one of disrespectful customers was constantly tardy. The only caveat for the trip was text message might not reach to US customers as expected. We had group of four joining the tour, but only one of us could receive the message. Tour guides said they are aware of this problem. This might cause some disruption of communication. Hope Westar can resolve the issue promptly. For the first-timer visiting Canadian Rockies, Westar is certainly recommended. In addition to rich attraction trip planing, I appreciate all tour guides we encountered. They are all professional and responsible and bring us a memorable Canada Rockies trip.

Fantastic experience: Westar did a great job for our 5 Days Banff and Jasper trip un the beautiful Rocky mountains. The accommodation and the service were top notch. Our guide Lisa was the gem of the crown. She was knowledgeable, warm hearted and really helpful to everyone. every day we were delighted and impressed by her energy and humours, as well as thought fulmess. She is a also great photographer and helped take numerous nice pictures for all the tour group. And both Jayla and Simon the other two guides were professional and generous. He made the trip the most fun and always provided the best recommendations to obtain the maximum benefit at each stop. She did the tour in both English and Mandarin Chinese. They transported us by bus from Calgary to Banff and back. I highly recommend them and I would surely take a tour with them again.

Fantastic experience: Was on a Banff tour from 28 to 29 March 2024. Our tour guide, Michael, was most helpful and managed the tour very well. We also appreciated the seamless transition from English to Mandarin. We didn’t feel like we missed any information despite the bilingual narratives. He also patiently helped us put on the spikes to be able to walk on the snow. The driver, Joe, drove smoothly and we felt safe even it it was snowing a lot on our way to Calgary. We enjoyed the tour very much.

Fantastic experience: My mom and I took a 6-day tour with Westar Travel in August, the best season to explore Calgary I guess. The seamless integration of their mobile app into their operational system was brilliant, enhancing the overall customer experience. The buses were spacious and new, and you could even pre-select your seats through the app. The hotels we stayed at were well-chosen, centrally located, and tidy. I want to especially commend Jingying (Jamie) for her diligence and thoughtfulness. She took care our 2-day excursion in Jasper. She went above and beyond, guiding us to the right spots in some destinations where we might have been lost instead of merely waiting at the bus. She actively ensured that everyone managed their time well, especially some latecomers. Her work ethic is highly appreciated. A tip: If you wish to avoid tax on tips, you’d better prepare cash to give to the tour guides directly rather than including them in your online order. Overall, it was a great experience.

Positive experience: Our 4 day travel experience was very good. We managed to see alot in a short period of time! Our tour guides were very nice and gave up a good experience. We had Michael on the first day. He was very good and went above and beyond for everyone. Our second guide was kelvin, he was very nice and really helpful. All I can say is the time management could’ve been a little better & the explanation of some things could be better too. I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great tour company. They made the tour plan really reasonable and we feel relaxed. My mom and I had three days tour, the first day we spent time in Calgary, second day in Banff and the third day in Jasper. Especially want to thank ours tour guide Michael Lok, no matter you can understand English, mandarin, or Cantonese. He can let your tour feel fantastic. And also I want to thank Stella Zhang and Simon Wang, they did great job.

Fantastic experience: We did our first 7-day trip in Alberta with Westar Travel. We found Westar travel through Google and we had a wonderful 7 days. The entire trip was well organized. The itinerary was well planned and the accommodations were great. All of the tour guides (Michael, Simon and Kelvin) and drivers were responsible and enthusiastic. On the day we were supposed to visit Columbia Icefield, it stormed really hard and washed the road away. As a result, we were initially supposed to be in the bus for the entire day. But Simon and the driver were able to solve the issue and as a result we were able to do all that we had planned for that day, and we are so grateful. Overall, I highly recommend Westar Travel, and we are already looking for another adventure with Westar Travel.

Fantastic experience: We attend Lake Louise trip today and all the best for the trip. The tour guide Stella is very professional and considerate for customer’s needs. The bus driver Robert is also a kind and interesting guy to share his experiences with us. Both of them did great jobs!

Fantastic experience: 5 Day Calgary, Jasper, Banff Tour PROS: At first, I was hesitant about booking with this tour company as it was my first time taking a tour. But, I must say it was an excellent experience. From the front office to the drivers and tour guides were all perfect. We were in good hands and felt very safe. The choice of attractions and hotels was very good. Tour guide RAY and driver JOE were very professional and took good care of travelers. We had JAMIE for the last day she was also good. Our return flight got canceled, but RAY and front office booked us an extra night stay with breakfast at Best Western in Calgary. CONS: Athabasca Hotel was the only letdown. It is very outdated with no elevators. Rooms are old and weird customers in surrounding rooms. Thank you, Westar Travel, for a great experience.

Fantastic experience: Found Westar by Googling 'local tour company in Calgary' and then booked the 3 day trip starting from Jul.24 via Westar web. We enjoyed the trip very much. Westar is wonderful. The trip was well scheduled, the drivers had many years driving experiences in the mountain area, and tour guides like Lisa, Simon, and Daniel, were very nice, responsible, helpful, and knowledgeable about the attractions we visited.

Fantastic experience: The Banff trip gave me an incredibly unforgettable experience. Our tour guide, Lisa, was very humorous and Compassionate. The tour she led provided me with a great experience, visiting popular attractions like the Icefields Parkway, Joneston Canyon, and more in Banff and Jasper. On the last day, I accidentally left my purchased souvenir on the tour bus, but Lisa was extremely helpful in finding it and actively assisted me in getting it back. It was truly a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend joining this tour organized by Western Star.

Fantastic experience: This is our first time with Westar and is very impressive from the professional team work done by tour guys and drivers . Our second day with Lisa to Jasper , entire trip was arranged very well step by step and she uses English and Chinese explained everything so clear and dedicated. She went through every attraction together with us , provided additional info about local food and restaurants, shared her experience and story during the tour. Driver Joe is a surprise and he did share stories during the bus break time that made us feel very the team is very well cooperative and well behave. I would recommend Westar Travel to my friends .

Fantastic experience: My second with Westar our tour guide was Ray and our driver was Larry. Ray showed the best of Canadian Rockies. He was patient and clear with the itinerary. My first time to see Canadian Rockies .the Glacier in Columbia Icefield was breathtaking and so as the Skywalk. He made sure that we are prepared for the cold weather. Lisa is my guide for Jesper and she is really responsible and responsive, she walks the extra mile for helping me to know the area better. Michael is my guide for Banff and he is very accommodating. They both help me to experience the area and be filled with joy. I really like Robert and Joe for their driving too. I love Robert’s jokes, they are super fun!

Fantastic experience: My tour guide was Lisa, and although I only spent two short days with her, I felt an infinite amount of enthusiasm! She was very professional, she kept telling us stories about the sites and sharing her own experiences on the bus, which was very engaging and exciting for me! She was also very patient and helpful, she helped us check in and answered my questions without us having to worry about a thing! It was a very memorable trip! And very lucky to have met this guide!

Fantastic experience: I had Lisa(tour guide) and Joe(driver) on the first day, they were both so nice and professional. Lisa told us countless stories about things we saw out of the window on our way to Banff, and she is extremely effective when arranging our activities! Then I had Simon for the last two days, and he is so good as well. He introduced us every scenery and always ask us if we need him to take photos of our family. Both of the tour guides are really helpful and welcoming, so this was a great trip!!

Fantastic experience: Our family visited Banff and Jasper. We had Lisa as our tour guide, and Joe as our driver. They were both extremely welcoming, warm, friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. They always had the answers to our questions and made us feel safe - especially with the recent unfortunate Jasper wild fires and power outage in the area. The scenery/landscapes were spectacular and overall was a beautiful experience!

Fantastic experience: Touring to Jasper national park was amazing with Guide Ray and driver Larry. Ray is a very experienced traveler and guide who always share his own travelling tips with us. He had a great knowledge of the city, all the mountains and the stories behind them. We visited almost all the main tourist attractions in Banff in 12 hrs. I highly recommend Westar and also Michael.
