Fantastic experience: We are very satisfied with this company. Due to the departure of the bears from the original destination, we switched to the Toba Inlet. On the way, we saw several humpback whales. The owner, Captain Jos, also gave an extensive explanation about this. Upon arrival at Toba Inlet, Wilson and Michael took over, but Jos also joined us. We saw several grizzly bears and enough time was taken to take photos. If we ever come back to the area, we will definitely go with you again on one of the trips.

Fantastic experience: We greatly enjoyed our whale watching expedition. We saw many humpbacks, some even swimming under out boat as we sat waiting to see where they would surface. It was too late in the season for Orca's but we would consider another outing at an earlier time in the year just to see more of these fantastic creatures. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing experience whale watching with Eagle Eye Adventure. A very knowledgable captain/guide of our comfortable zodiac found us several humpback whales and showed us other marine life and features of the area. Higly reccommended.

Fantastic experience: We had a grizzlytour last week and we had an amazing time. The boat ride into Toba inlet is already very cool and when we got there we had real nice First Nations guides and saw a huge male elk and also grizzly bears. A mother and a son catching salmon out of the river. It was amazing. Make sure you pack enough warm clothes because on the platforms it can get cold. There is lunch available with coffee and tea and all but for the morning bring a thermos with your own warm drink (or buy a nice thermos at their store) if you feel like it. The ride is too bumpy to have coffee or tea during the ride. We would recommend this tour for sure!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I enjoyed our adventure out on the water for our anniversary. I know we had to keep our distance from the whales but I do wish we could have been a little closer to capture some better pictures and videos of the whales in their natural habitat. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and was great at looking where she could to find the best views of the whales for our viewing pleasure.

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic trip to see the humpback whales, along with several other animals. Definitely a must-do if you are on Vancouver Island in Canada.

Fantastic experience: What a fabulous experience, we did the Grizzly Bear Tour and it was magical. Great customer service from all, skipper and 1st mate on the boat were cheerful and informative and joined all of us for the bear tour guided by first nation folks and they were wonderful as well. Being in pristine nature, seeing grizzlies in action while surrounded by mist shrouded mountains, moss-covered trees, and breathing in fresh crisp air far away from the hub bub of daily life. Saw 2 humpbacks on the way up and a pod of resident Orcas on the way back. Arrival back in port we were greeted with a double rainbow. Do this trip, it is great! Thank You!

Fantastic experience: Eagle Eye Adventures is a very professional organization with very friendly owners .The tours they organize gives access to a limited amount of people which makes the tour more personal and makes sure that the wildlife isn’t disturbed too much. Eagle Eye Adventures has great respect for the First Nations People and acknowledges that the land they live and work in belongs to the First Nations People. Next time we will definitely return to Eagle Eye Adventures.

Negative experience: Very disappointing experience. It was really chaotic from the start, my husband and I arrived 30 minutes prior to departure and were never given any waivers or asked to sign anything. My husband and I booked a wildlife tour, the info about it says you go north through the Discovery Islands and up to Bute Inlet. We did not go on the wildlife tour. We were never informed at any time that there was a change of plans. We were out on the open water for the entire 4 hours chasing whale sightings. We did not book a whale watching tour, we booked a tour to go up through the islands and the inlet to see eagles, bears etc. There was absolutely no communication from the guide for what we were doing or where we were going. If the guide explained to us that there was a change of plans then that would be different. It was just weird and confusing the whole time and really not an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic experience: On Friday the 13th we had a great rip with Andreas as our boat Captain. The grizzly Bear excursion to the Klahoose was one of the best experiences I have had. 7 different bear sightings with great photo ops. The Klahoose guides were first class and we will definitely be back.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, we absolutely do not recommend the 'Full Day Grizzly Bear Tour'. Booked through 'get your guide'. Nice welcome at the organizer's house and a friendly guide who was also the boat driver and the catering guy. There were snacks and coffee along the way and a small lunch package on the way back. So far, everything was okay and good. :-) But you pay around EUR 700.00 per person for a trip to see bears catching salmon! So, a boat ride starting at 7:30 a.m. for about 2.5 hours to an island. There, other guides take over the further guiding in cooperation with the organizer. You drive about 10 minutes by minibus to a first observation tower by the river. There had been quite a bit of activity (before us). Numerous dead, chewed-up salmon lay on the shore. Others were swimming upstream. However, no bears anymore. Of course, at 11 a.m. ;-). After 20 minutes to the next tower, about 200 meters away. Again, no bears, same scenario. This went on at a total of 8 observation towers. Of course, you are (almost) in the wild. It can also (often) happen that you see little or nothing. :-) We returned to the first tower. Still 20 minutes until our planned return at 1:00 p.m. Suddenly, other visitors in the bus call out: 2 bears in the bushes! Indeed, a mother and cub 30 meters away in the bushes. Photos through the closed tinted window in the bus. The head is sometimes visible. Great... :-( The bears are on their way to the river. The observation tower is 30 meters away. I ask the guide if we can still go to the tower since we still have booked time. ANSWER: No, the time is up, you saw bears. And indeed, we head back to the dock. So, we would have seen the bears better in any zoo. It is definitely not worth it, especially with these guides and 5 hours of boat ride for almost nothing. Fantastic experience: Had a brilliant trip out, saw plenty of whales and the guides knowledge was comprehensive and interesting. All members of staff were friendly and helpful. Wearing the suits provided made you feel and look like spacemen but are absolutely necessary against the windchill when traveling at high speed on the Zodiac. Really special memory’s seeing the whales!

Positive experience: We enjoyed our Grizzly Bear Exhibition trip. I felt I was home as we entered the Toba Inlet, Our Guides from Klahoose First Nations and our Captain are incredible people.

Fantastic experience: We experienced two tours. The whole day grizzly tour and the 4-hour whale watching. The bear expedition was top, like an episode of Planet Earth. Saw many grizzlies hunting for spawning salmon. The whale tour was also great. In addition to various whales, we also saw two pods of orcas and sea lions.

Fantastic experience: After the amazing experience we had last Monday at the Grizzly Expedition Tour, we immediately booked the 6-hour Whale Watching for the following day. We had two fantastic days! During the grizzly tour, we saw a mother and her cub, and shortly after, we spotted a big male. The surroundings were beautiful! During the whale watching, I lost count. I guess we saw between 15 and 20 humpbacks. For both tours, the guides were really nice women who had a lot of knowledge and were pleasant to deal with. Big compliments to Nova (I think) and Justine! The lunch was very tasty. We enjoyed it tremendously!

Fantastic experience: We had a great time! We saw many humpback whales and orcas. Justine was a very competent Zodiac pilot and gave us pertinent information. We strongly recommend the 4 hour Whale Watching tour. Well worth the money! Merci pour les beaux souvenirs.

Fantastic experience: Last week I did the 6-hour Whale Watching Tour, it was amazing! We saw 3 different groups of Humpback Whales, sea lions, striped dolphins and as the cherry on top at the end we also saw orcas! Definitely a must-do!

Positive experience: It was overall a great experience. Nice weather, calm waters and a bunch of humpback whales! We saw a couple breaching and jumping, however in the description of the tour it said wildlife and possibility of bears. I do understand that this can't be guaranteed but I feel like we spent a lot of time watching the whales and less time exploring other places. With that said, I had an unforgettable experience and it was lovely. The guide was amazing!

Fantastic experience: Always a great time with Jos and crew. I did the grizzley tour to Toba, the guides were great and knowledgable, for us the grizzlys amd we all had a good day capped off with humpbacks jumping.

Fantastic experience: We've been out several times with Eagle Eye Adventures and the tours never disappoint! Always something new to learn and of course the scenery is outstanding! Staff are great, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. Sunset tours are one of our favorite things.

Positive experience: This is my second time on the Grizzly tour! The staff are wonderful and the boat trip is very scenic but I’ve yet to see a Bear. The guides are very nice and will entertain you with folklore but speaking with them it’s pretty hit or miss with Bear sightings!

Fantastic experience: Amazing Wildlife Tour of Desolation Sound! We managed to see a Humpback whale and her calf. Andres was a knowledgeable guide and loved the hot chocolate to warm up. A must do in Campbell River!

Fantastic experience: We went on the 4 hour covered boat tour. Weather was beautiful. All staff in the office were very friendly and efficient. Our captain/guide Jos was very knowledgeable and worked well with other guides to find us whales to see. We saw a few humpbacks. Would highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We took the 6 hour whale watching tour in the covered boat and WOW, it far exceeded our expectations. Our guide Brian honestly made the day the most interesting, exciting and enjoyable experience of our 3 week holiday in Canada. He knew how to find all sorts of marine life. We saw orcas, a huge pod of dolphins who surfed in our wake, sea lions basking on rocks and, best of all, two different pairs of humpback whales. We were super impressed with Brian's knowledge and his respectful approach to observation from a safe distance and his care and concern for the marine life. He found a lovely spot on Read Island to moor up for our lunch, for which we were supplied with enjoyable vegan lunch as we had requested. The boat was comfortable, fast and highly manouverable. All in all a brilliant tour for which we would give even more than 5 stars if we could!

Negative experience: It was not worth the money. The vieuw on the water was beautiful but that was about it. We only saw someting swimming at a very great distance. Furthermore the boat went over the water at a high speed. So that it was difficult to detect anything. Unfortunatelay there was also to little coffee for anyone. The snacks comes from a bag of children biscuits. Actualy it was a big disappointment. Not recommended!

Fantastic experience: The tour was worth it!! Saw sea lions, humpbacks and orcas, blowing and breaching It was mesmerizing. Our tour guide (starts with A, I don't want to misspell his name but we were on boat 1 on aug 10 @ 9am) was knowledgeable, knew the best places and ensured we had our money's worth. Loved it

Fantastic experience: We did the 2-hour Sunset Tour. Watching the whales during sunset was an unforgettable experience. The only 'negative' was that it was only 2 hours and not 3 like with other providers. However, you already know this in advance.

Fantastic experience: I went on the 6hr wildlife tour on the zodiac yesterday and it was spectacular! Benji was our captain and guide for the day. He was a pleasure to spend the day with! He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife we encountered and the area we toured around. We were so fortune to see a pod of orca’s, a black bear, bald eagles, dolphins, seals, humpback whales, harbour porpoise & seal lions! Highly recommend using this company if you’d like to get out and see the beauty of what BC has to offer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ bring a good camera with a zoom lens. While encountering wildlife their space is respected and a good camera will help capture these amazing creatures.

Fantastic experience: We had a really fun day with our guide Benji. He, along with the rest of the staff, was very kind and cheerful. Benji really made it an enjoyable boat trip; every time someone spotted a whale, that country would score a point, for instance. This made it very playful, but we also got good explanations about the animals and the area. They truly care about the animals here; a boat was heading straight for a mother and calf, but thanks to Benji, he was able to swerve just in time. It was really a great experience! We saw two groups of orcas and about 15 other whales, plus some sea lions, etc. We did the 6-hour tour on an open, small boat. Our family of four was also with 3 couples on the boat. I really highly recommend this!!!

Fantastic experience: Whales, whales and more whales on our tour today!! Our super passionate, “orca-holic”guide Benji was phenomenal and made sure we saw all the things: resident orcas, humpbacks, Bigg’s orcas, stellar sea lions and some incredible ocean rapids. He was so knowledgeable about the area and the history of our indigenous peoples. We had an amazing four hour zodiac tour. Thanks, Benji! Also, the Eagle Eye office staff was phenomenal too!!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely an awesome experience with Benji as master of ceremonies, skipper and wildlife guide. The boat a zodiac allows you (with good weather thanks God) to feel speed and the breeze of an unforgettable experience experience. Killer whales, whales marine lions, seals and eagles ... all in 4 hours

Negative experience: We've been out twice now after buying a coupon through Island Deals. Our guide was a good driver and a very nice person but was inexperienced. All the whales were spotted by the locals on the boat and the positioning the boat was not what I expected - again, inexperienced. I think, with more practice and mentoring this guide will be good. After going out with just about every company in Campbell River you get to be a discerning whale watcher and this was my least favourite to date. The tourists from outside of Canada had a great time, though, so they were very happy. As a person who likes to photograph wildlife, both times out were not good for photography even though there were lots of animals around. Running from place to place to the next spot makes miss out on the animals that you are nearby. Quality over quantity. Like I said, the tourist saw whales and were very excited. The locals are very savvy about how to view wildlife so a few of us on the boat knew the difference between a novice and experienced guide.

Fantastic experience: AMAZING!!! We went out on a lovely, calm and sunny day. I expected to see a whale in the distance with binoculars. What we saw and experienced was beyond anything I could have imagined. We saw nearly 20 whales, 2 teenagers playing and at one point surrounded by 9 humpbacks. An experience I will never forget. Our captain, Brian, was fantastic. Dream come true. Thank you!!

Fantastic experience: Beautiful sunset cruise. We saw about 8 humpbacks, a seal, and even an otter. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to learn about whales, see whales and have a fun time. Our captain had a great sense of humour and was very knowledgable. Fantastic experience: Recently we went on the whale watching tour with Jos. It was amazing, such a great trip!!! We had a perfect day with the good wetter, the calm sea and lots of animals. Fantastic experience: Went out today on a 4 hour whale watching tour with my aunt and daughter. Andrés was our guide, and he was so knowledgeable and personable! We all had an amazing time and saw the elusive Bigg’s orcas, and several humpback whales too!!! 10/10 would recommend!!!

Fantastic experience: Great evening with Captain Jos! We saw a mama humpback with her calf. The Captain is also a marine biologist so we learned a lot about humpback whales including feeding patterns and how they sleep with half their brain functioning.

Fantastic experience: We did the 6-hour zodiac tour. It was amazing. You get a great suit on and fly over the water. We saw dolphins, sea eagles, sea lions, seals, humpbacks, and orcas!! Nova, our guide, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Latrisha, at the office, informed us in time that orcas had been spotted so that we could see them too. Our lunch was on the boat and well catered. A super nice company.

Fantastic experience: On July 13, 2024, we had a 6-hour Wildlife Tour with guide/captain Benji. We had an amazing experience and saw whales, sea lions, and orcas during our tour. Thanks to the enthusiastic captain Benji, we had an unforgettable tour and would definitely want to do it again!

Fantastic experience: I can only recommend this place. The service was in top, the A class captain Benjii was an excellent communicator and a lot of great information about the area and wildlife. At the end, he extended the trip by 45 minutes to get the last Orca photos.

Fantastic experience: What an incredible adventure! I went with my adult siblings and teenage nephew, and we were all blown away by our Wildlife tour experience. We saw so many whales, sea lions, seals, birds and fish. At one point, there were 5 whales all around us - they were more than the 100m away. It was such an amazing experience to watch the whales jumping and flapping their flippers (I don't remember the proper term). Our captain and guide, Brian, was fabulous. He was knowledgeable, humourous, and incredibly passionate. He has a true love of animals, and his work, and it really shows in his tours. My brother and I have both been on whale watching tours before, in Tofino and Victoria, and there's no comparison. Eagle Eye has the best tour, hands down. For those wondering, we went July 16, 2024, right after the opening of the salmon season, in the zodiak. I was unsure about the zodiak experience - my previous experiences were on large vessels - but it was very comfortable, dry, and easily maneuvered to follow (at an appropriate distance) the whales. Brian was very respectful of the whales and marine mammals, and we stayed well back from them. Engines were cut to not scare them. One humpback whale was curious about our boat, and he "mugged" us - which means that he swam right up to the boat to check us out. Once Brian realized he was coming to us, he pulled the engine right out of the water to keep from hurting the whale. If you're looking for a wildlife/ whale watching experience, I highly recommend Eagle Eye Adventures.

We took a 4 hour afternoon Zodiac tour and were fortunate enough to see a pod of orcas, a humpback whale, and sea lions. Such a fun way to explore the gorgeous nature and islands around Campbell River.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I did the sunset tour. Not only was a gorgeous evening, we saw orcas and humpback whales. The whole group was friendly, fun and very knowledgeable about the local resident orcas. Would definitely go again.

Fantastic experience: Our 6 hour whale watching tour with Eagle Eye in Mid July exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend. Nova was an expert guide, being highly knowledgeable, hospitable and competent at her job. We saw every type of wildlife we could hope for and enjoyed exploring the Campbell river coastline.

Fantastic experience: I saw the Eagle Show with Eagle Eye Adventures on 6/23 and absolutely loved it. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was able to get some incredible photos thanks to the awesome folks at Eagle Eye Adventures!

Fantastic experience: What an adventure that was! First, I did the Historic Mail Flight, flying for 3 hours and landing on the water over paradise islands. The next day, the six-hour Whalewatching Tour. Sea lions, humpbacks, orcas, seals, eagles, and even dolphins spotted. I can wholeheartedly recommend this combo to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Great trip with a knowledgeable guide. Whale watching is always a gamble! We saw Biggs orcas right away, went looking for some others based on reports but saw just a little, then detoured to see a humpback. He used the between times to show us the islands and explain the currents. Good day!

Fantastic experience: Amazing trip with Captain Nova today. Glad we were in a covered boat as it was quite choppy at times. Nova was very informative about the landscape and wildlife and kept us entertained through out. We saw 2 humpbacks and then had an amazing encounter with the T90 pod. Dream come true. Also excellent picnic lunch. We had brought some snacks but didn't need them. Altogether an excellent day!

Positive experience: The 4 hour whale watching tour delivered beyond my expectations. We lucked out with some active and playful humpbacks that were breaching for well over 30 minutes. Amazing! Our guide was also knowledgeable and determined to find us some whales to observe.

Negative experience: While I can appreciate the effort put into the experience, it was not one I’ll ever partake in again. We were to wear these wind protector outfits which are not waterproof, it was pouring down rain so we were soaked for 4 hours, the hood of mine was broken so I had to hold it over my head which meant my fingers were freezing in the rain and wind. We didn’t see one whale, we only saw 2 seal heads and some eagles. They asked me prior if I had any dietary restrictions and I told them I was vegan, there was not a single vegan snack while everyone else was enjoying theirs. Oh, and the captain hit a log while we were driving… all in all, it was a terrible experience.

Fantastic experience: It was absolutely amazing! We saw around 10 Humpback Whales. They were also jumping out of the water. An unique experience! Our guide Nova was really good an knows a lot. Thank you Eagle Eye Adventures for this beautiful day!

Fantastic experience: Driver was very accommodating. Went out of our way to see magnificent Transient Orcas. Actually watched the Orcas for several extra minutes. Came back 45 minutes later than expected but well worth it.

Fantastic experience: Tuesday 11 June, a day to remember for us. Thanks to you people from Oceanecoventures. We felt lucky to see 10 Orcawhales during the tour, we could observe them certainly long enough! We were also happy with our guide, she did a wonderful job, thank you for that!

Fantastic experience: It was pretty good, unfortunately didn't get to see much. People were nice.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend these tours highly enough. I went on both the Bear and Waterfalls and the Whale tours, and they were exactly what was promised. The guide for my first tour was extremely knowledgably and managed to find a young black bear. We were able to watch him finding and eating mussels and crabs on the shore. The guide for my second tour not only found a pod of Orca's but shortly after, they were joined by two other pods. It was an unbelievable experience and even though our guide made sure that we were the regulated distance away from the whales, she made sure that we had a spectacular viewing. Although they cannot guarantee either bear or whale encounters with the tour, the guides went out of their way to locate animals and to make sure that we had a spectacular day. Both tours were absolutely brilliant.

Positive experience: No whales at all. We've seen only sea lions!

She is extremely knowledgeable, very willing to answer questions, has a sense of humour and makes you feel comfortable & at home. Always had a smile & very friendly. We did see Orcas & sea lions. All the animal were fantastic to see. I would definitely take one of their tours again. Well worth the time.

Fantastic experience: Such an amazing experience, again and again. Today was my sixth whale watching tour with this company. They always go above and beyond beyond to give you the best experience. The captain always has a lot of experience and tells a lot about the area and wild life. I have seen whales every tour and today we were the only whale watching company that spotted Orcas. The views were amazing the rapids were fun, the wildlife in abundance. Thank you Brian, thank you Eagle Eye Adventures.

Fantastic experience: We had a covered boat trip from 2 to 6 pm. We saw orcas twice and heard many stories from the knowledgeable guide Nova. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing late season grizzly bear tour (Oct 9)! Despite lots of rain, we had great luck seeing a momma and baby grizzly. On the way back, the fog cleared out and we saw gorgeous waterfalls, eagles, orcas, sea lions, and a black bear. Really appreciated the great guides, education, and lovely filling lunch!

Fantastic experience: Did the Grizzly Tour on october 3rd. Amazing German and dutch and english speeking Lovely First Nation people. We will forever remember this Tour. Photos say it all.

Fantastic experience: We had a really beautiful trip here with the 4-hour wildlife tour in a Zodiac. Of course, you need a bit of luck, but the group of orcas we followed for an hour and the humpback whale playing with her calf were worth their weight in gold. The surroundings of the Discovery Islands alone are worth making the trip.

Fantastic experience: We just completed the 6-hour wildlife tour, fantastic!!! You feel so small as a human when you see those magnificent colossal animals moving gracefully through the water! Eagle Eye is a top-notch professional company, super nice people, very good equipment, good boat, skilled captain, super well-prepared lunch, time flew by! Our two boys (6 and 8) also really enjoyed it!!!

Negative experience: We have been on several wildlife tours in the past, and we must unfortunately say that the 6 hour whale watching tour we booked with Eagle Eye Adventures was by far our least favourite. Although the communication with the agency upfront was good and although we did see some whales (humpback and killer) on our tour, the overall experience was not worth the immense 250 CAD per person we had to pay. Much had to do with the attitude of our guide. She wasn't very enthusiastic and didn't seem very eager to search for several (different) animals - a mindset which is quintessential for these kind of tour guides. Instead, we spent almost an hour watching one specific whale, an hour watching another, and with lunch included, our time was at that point almost over. In total, we stopped at only 4 animal spots on our 6 hour, expensive tour - which is very disappointing. We would suggest booking a whale watching tour with another company - maybe even in another area of Vancouver Island (e.g., Tofino).

Fantastic experience: Magnificent sea outing! Seals, orcas, eagles, and humpback whales with their calves. Our guide (originally from Ain, France) took great care to ensure each passenger could see everything well. Light snacks and drinks provided halfway through the trip.
