Fantastic experience: I went on a mini paddle adventure organized by Kerry and it was spectacular, we visited beautiful places! Kerry knows very well how to lead teams of different people and take into account the opinions of all participants so that everyone is satisfied! Kerry knows very well the level of risk according to the different lakes and the weather at the time, and is always aware that all the people on the boards are safe and well! I highly recommend Kerry! I hope to go out again soon on another adventure organized by Paddle a Board Vacations! Thank you Kerry!!!

Negative experience: First time doing SUP, overall had a great time by the lake. Just wish the person was more communicative. We noticed a rip in the bag and notified the person. We expected to pay for the damage, we didn't mind that but she suddenly charged our credit card without notification and without explanation. And invoice did not explain well what the charge was for (was it just for the bag or was there more damages) We originally gave her a damage deposit which was returned, but curiously that wasn't used. Instead she charged our credit card for the deposit + tax, our original damage deposit didn't have tax so we were also confused about that. We had to do multiple follow ups because she just wasn't very communicative (I.e. she said she'll follow up on Friday with us about if she'll return some of the deposit depending if a replacement bag comes in and we had to message her 2 days later for an update). Which just makes me feel like she doesn't care about us after our business was concluded. Overall a fun experience but I feel like she should be more transparent/communicative with that kind of stuff and not just charge our credit card out of no where. Won't be renting from her again. Here is a picture of the rip. She mentions loss of business due to it and the SUP had to be taken out of inventory until a replacement bag comes in.

Negative experience: I was a part of a group day trip that rented an SUP. When we managed to get the boards inflated despite the faulty air lock, the experience on the lake was great! I wasn't able to attempt standing on my first experience as the boards weren't inflated enough to be stable, but sitting and kneeling were just fine. I read a lot of other reviews about the fantastic service, communication and equipment quality which set my expectations really high. Which made me really disappointed when I heard our group organizer struggled communicating with the owner. Looking forward to seeing how this small business can continue to grow and improve!

Negative experience: We rented 4 SUPs from Kerry, it was initially fine but after we returned the equipment, we were very disappointed in her professionalism and lack of communication. We picked up the equipment on Sept. 15 and returned it on the same day before the end time. She couldn't make it back to her house in time for drop off, so we dropped it off as instructed. She said she would touch base with us later on. During the drop off, we noticed a rip in the front pocket of the bag. So we took a picture and let her know the equipment was dropped off and we found a rip. We waited an entire business day for her to touch base with us. We didn't get any phone call, text or email regarding the drop off or condition of the equipment. Instead, we got an invoice at 9:00 pm on Sept. 16. I texted Kerry about the charge about 30 minutes after the emailed invoice, asking for more information regarding the charge and didn't receive a reply until the next morning. We were unsure of the charge because we didn't know what the charge is for. The invoice just said "1x Charge - Damage deposit". This amount was $218.34 ($200 plus taxes and fees). Note: a hold of $800 ($200 per board and it didn't have taxes and fees) was already on my credit card. Instead it was later released and this alternate $218.34 charge was put on my card. When the hold of $800 was put on, I received an email telling me there was a hold. This $218.34 said charge so we were suspicious of it. Also, we were unsure why the hold of $800 didn't have taxes and fees, but this charge for damage deposit did. I do not appreciate my credit card being charged without notifying me. I was unaware of what the damages were entailed. We didn't know if the charge was for the bag or for any further damages. We were only aware of the rip in the front pocket. If Kerry had touched base with us prior to charging my card, then we would've wholeheartedly accepted the charges. We never blamed her for any equipment faults. We also never argued about the charges. We didn't do a proper equipment inspection prior to using it, so we just assumed the responsibility of the rip. Especially since the waiver we signed said we acknowledged the equipment was in working condition. When Kerry responded regarding the charges, she proceeded with saying the board was only used twice this year before me, so she knows the board is "OK". This was unnecessary since we never said she gave us faulty equipment. She then told us the replacement bag costs $109.99+gst+shipping = $130.49. She also said if she receives the replacement bag by Friday (Sept. 20), she will transfer the difference. I replied, thanks for the breakdown, I will wait for the difference and I apologized for the trouble for the rip. She responded after that and said if she does not receive the replacement bag by Friday, she will keep the rest of the deposit due to potential loss of business, she has had to take the entire SUP out of inventory. Friday came and we didn't receive an update on the replacement bag. We also gave her some time to update, so we followed up on the status of the replacement bag on Sunday, Sept. 22. She said she did not receive the replacement bag. She did not mention what would happen with the deposit. So once again, it was up to us to confirm details and so we had text and confirm with her if the rest of the deposit is kept by her due to loss of business. We could have rented from anywhere and it's unfortunate we picked Kerry's business. We will not use her services ever again, nor do we recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Our group of 5 family members absolutely loved our basic skills lesson with Kerry! She was so enthusiastic and kind and informative! We were all pretty much beginners, although some of us have been on paddle boards once or twice, but with no prior instruction or training. We especially appreciated the safety tips and her very encouraging attitude. If you are debating whether to take these lessons, don’t hesitate to sign up. We had a blast and learned so much!

He was thorough on the instructions which I really appreciate because I was not a water person in the least bit(but now I think I may be hooked!:) and he was super kind and encouraging! Fantastic experience: Just had a lesson with Kerry. What an absolute treat it was. I'm very new to this sport so i was pretty nervous, but she was kind, calm and down to earth and that helped take the nervous edge off. The lesson was set up very well. Time flew by and there was little down time. There was alot of info and instruction packed into the lesson, i didn't feel overwhelmed at all. If anyone is ever looking to get a lesson I'd recommend Paddle A Board Vacations everytime. ✌

Fantastic experience: Kerry went above and beyond to accommodate a lesson for me and my two daughters. She was very understanding and knowledgeable about the neurodivergent needs of my daughter. She was so patient with my other daughter as well who had her first experience on a paddle board and with using a paddle. By the end of the lesson she was standing for a bit and constantly dunking herself back in to climb back on. I was also able to stand and paddle for the first time for a little bit as well. We all really enjoyed ourselves and I learned a lot more skills and feel more confident to head out on a paddle board now by myself having the girls with me. Fantastic experience: We did a beginner intro to paddle boarding class with Kerry and we LOVED IT. We had never tried paddle boarding before, and I had some anxiety going in, but after the class, I feel much more confident. Kerry is very friendly and knowledgeable. She made us feel comfortable right from the beginning. She is very encouraging and supportive and an excellent teacher. The time flew by. I would recommend her classes to anybody who want to learn more and try out this activity before committing to buying anything. Kerry is wonderful!

Fantastic experience: Kerry is an amazing instructor. She’s kind and patient and doesn’t leave anyone behind. I have tried paddle boarding a couple of times with no success when a friend had mentioned taking lessons. My goal for the day was to stand up, and Kerry made sure that happened. She stayed behind with me for some one to one so she could see where I was struggling. She noticed I had tight hip flexors which is why I couldn’t get my foot where it needed to be. She showed me a different way to get up, and I did it. The impossible was no longer impossible. She showed us all how to get on our boards when we fall, how to properly fall, and how to help a friend who is struggling. I can’t wait to get back out on my own and put into practice what I learned today. I know I’ll be back for more lesson’s and will recommend her to anyone looking for some training. Even if you do know how to paddle board, if you are not familiar with the safety aspects such as helping a friend back on their board, or flipping a flipped board (not something you can easily do if you can’t touch the bottom) I would recommend a class. There is a lot to learn before you head out into the middle of a lake.

She made my first time paddle boarding a great experience even though I was nervous. And the equipment she uses is top notch and super durable very supportive for all sizes.

I am already planning when I can do it again. Kerry, the owner and tour guide, is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Her warm and inviting personality had this typically shy, quiet person at ease and talking within moments of meeting her. It truly brings her pleasure to make sure her clients have the experience they want and she does everything she can to make that happen. She takes the time to get to know you, give you personal attention, and find out what you want to get out of the tour so she can personalize this experience for you. She absolutely went out of her way at every turn to make this adventure everything I wanted it to be (spoiler alert, it was AMAZING). Kerry’s attention to detail and obvious knowledge of the local areas is evident from the start. Our itinerary included a such variety of lakes that every day felt like a new adventure. From those with stunning mountain vistas to blue green waters to those with ghost forests, and lily pads, she truly knows the gems in the Canadian Rockies. With this tour, Kerry has managed to find a perfect balance between paddling and offering other unique to the area out of the water (optional) add on activities (I highly recommend trying as many as possible, especially the Sky Bridge and Pipe Coaster!). She has scoped out the local restaurants, knows the best places to eat and get coffee so you are supporting local businesses. In her quest to support Canadian brands, you get to stay in everything from a luxury hotel to an awesome glamping tent where you cook your dinner on the owner built wood burning stove! Be sure to say hi to Winston, the camp mascot, when you go! This tour is perfect for you whether or not you have paddled before. Kerry will guide you at whatever level you are at and make your experience a memorable one. You will not regret this SUPer experience.

Fantastic experience: Paddle A Board is the only company i will ever rent a paddleboard from in Calgary. Kerry the owner is a great communicator and she makes it such a stress free process. The POP boards are clearly top of the range and well looked after and are great for all levels (especially beginners like me). Not my first time renting from them and won’t be the last!

Fantastic experience: This was a first experience for me to try paddle boarding!!. I was nervous and not so sure if I was going to like it. It turned out that I had so much fun!, and finally got so comfortable on the board and water. That is all because of my amazing instructor Kerry. Fantastic experience: I rented a paddle board from Kerry. She was super accommodating to figure out drop off / pickup logistics, and recommended some of her favourite locations to go SUP’ing. Her friendly demeanour and easy-going personality were a delight! I also paid less to rent through Kerry than my friend, who rented though a fairly well known sports rental company in town. 5/5 for Kerry!!
