Fantastic experience: We would like to commend two of your travel agents: Monica Marchi and Rhonda Hagerty who excel in a very stressful situation we encountered on 4 April 2024. My husband and I had a booking made by Monica for our trip to Spain, on 4 April 2024 followed by our cruise on the Rhine River, on 26 May 2024. As it was difficult to find suitable flights to Europe from Calgary without an extremely long layover, then and connecting to our final destination in Spain, we chose, with the help of Monica, to leave from Vancouver. We selected to use points from our credit card to book a West Jet flight from Calgary to Vancouver on 4 April 2024. We booked a flight which gave us over four hours and fifteen minutes connection time in Vancouver. Being a former airline employee and frequent travellers, we were very aware what it means to make a booking on two different tickets. Our flight on West Jet unfortunately experienced three creeping delays. It was touch and go for us to make the connection, as everything you can imagine could happen, actually happened, including an aborted landing in Vancouver. We were in contact with Monica as soon as the second delay was posted. From that moment on, we were either communicating over the telephone, texting or emailing Monica. When Monica was occupied with another customer, we spoke to Rhonda, who was very diligent in relaying messages to Monica, on our behalf. The dedication, determination and positive attitude they showed to our situation are truly commendable. Rhonda was extremely prompt at relaying messages to Monica and making sure we stayed connected. Monica went above and beyond the call of duty when monitoring our flight that eventually took off from Calgary at 16:00 and landed in Vancouver around 16:40. Monica was on the phone with us from the moment we landed in Vancouver until we made it to the KLM counter with minutes before they closed the flight. Monica’s encouragement and positive thinking made the challenge and stressful situation more manageable. We were able to get on our flight booked to leave Vancouver to Amsterdam at 17:50. We have been dealing with Monica for a few years now and we have had nothing but extraordinary and prompt service. Monica's high standards in managing our bookings is one of the many positive reasons we keep returning to Expedia Cruises to receive the exemplary service Monica delivers.
