Negative experience: My husband and I booked our honeymoon through Gyl, and everything that went wrong started and ended with her. Completely unresponsive to emails/questions, even when trying to pay. Our reservation was also combined with someone else who booked through her. We were unable to check in for our flight before hand as the reservation wasn’t in our name, it was in the other parties name. We were seated as a four person group on the flight, my husband and I sitting across the isle from each other. When we contacted selloffvactions regarding this, and the concern of our privacy being breached and given to another passenger, they told us they had done nothing wrong. We would have been better off booking online ourselves. Avoid booking with Gyl at all costs unless you want your information given to other passengers.

Fantastic experience: We worked with Heather Rother and I will tell you she went above and beyond. She was booking for 14 of us for all inclusive for Cuba during March break with 7 kids of varying ages. We needed her to ensure we had all the room on the flights as well as the right rooms for all 14 of us. We knew she only worked till 6:00 but Heather took my call around 5:00 p.m. and immediately called Sunwing to ensure that we would have the seats on the flight as well as the hotel rooms. She was on hold with them for a while so when she got back to us, my sisters and friend and I knew she was supposed to be done at 6:00. She worked past her leaving time to book all of us in the 5 rooms with 4 different cards, 14 people etc. I will tell you she went above and beyond, especially staying late to make sure it all was done. We had such a fantastic experience that we will definitely work with Heather again on our next vacation. Also she helped us with finding a great vacation and resort as none of us have been to Cuba so we were a bit clueless on where to go, to stay and be safe as we have 7 kids of varying ages going. Positive experience: Covid forced me to cancel a trip booked through Selloff Vacations in Truro in March 2020. I was able to get part of my Air Canada fare back and my Expedia hotels, however, I was not able to get any refunds from my Sunwing hotels and my Manulife Insurance policy. I believe that Selloff needs to be more particular about the other companies it reccomends and works with, as some of them do not have good customer service.

Fantastic experience: Had a fantastic time at Melia Punta Cana this past week. Resort is very big so be prepared to walk, there are lots of shuttles and a train but if you can't catch one it's quite a stroll from the lobby to the beach, however, we didn't mind working off the great food we had! Resort is very clean, very nicely landscaped and staff were great. This is about the 3rd or 4th trip we booked with Heather Rother, she knows what we like and what we want and coordinated our fairly large group very well. Thanks Heather, great job!

There are many sites you could go on-line and book yourself, however, SellOffVacations in Truro has gone beyond what I could have accomplished when there becomes a glitch or additional support is required. They can do things you can not do yourself on-line. I have traveled several times south mostly to Cuba and with each booking they have always made suggestions to make my fare and trip better. Shannon Hamilton runs a great office and her staff are very accommodating.
