Fantastic experience: An amazing place to get knowledge and start your journey to explore the underwater world ! I went in to buy a wetsuite for freediving and the amazing lady there did not try to sell me something I wouldn't be able to use just to make a buck !

The experience was flawless from start to finish, from Robin helping pick the proper gear (not only that she prepared the masks for our pool training with the defogging procedure, which was extra work she did out of the kindness of her heart!), to all the knowledge we learned in classroom training with our instructor Jamie and of course the phenomenal 2 day pool experience that familiarized us with the gear, safety procedures, and emergency situations. I love adrenaline related sports and activities, although diving has always left me uneasy with so many unknowns being down under the water but after the weekend with Bob's Scuba team I feel extremely relaxed and comfortable at depth. Top notch service from amazing people that have so much love and passion for diving and aquatic life alike! They make you feel right at home in the shop! Such a great community of people! Fantastic experience: Ordered a scubapro GoPro mount for a mask (tusa cir 1996). Robin responded quick to questions, shipped in less than 24hrs, arrived in 2days. Hamilton to Ottawa. Nothing negative at all about this experience. Very very friendly and customer service rates as top notch. Part fits just fine. Slightly off center due to mask seal part but otherwise perfect!

The underwater environment is not to be trifled with and if you're not ready you're not ready. Staff and owner always put Safety First to maximize your experience underwater and have a long career in recreational scuba diving so that you can truly enjoy your time underwater without exception. I've known Robin for over 20 years and she is hypervigilant about safety law ensuring that our students have a great experience and when done are fully ready to dive anywhere in the world. Negative experience: Unfortunately i have to sue them as the one instructor had too many people in class and almost killed someone. I was in that class. They expected 10 students to finish all 4 certification in 2 days of pool iN 3 hrs per session and if we were not fast enough the instructor said it was a beer penalty.

Fantastic experience: If you want 'above and beyond' customer service, Robin at Bob's Scuba is the person to see. I took my nieces in for snorkeling gear and she was so patient and kind with them. She even called me after we left the store the next day to advise that she found a cheaper combo for the one set so I wanted to return them, she would switch them out. We also had to change prescription lenses from one pair and she made sure we had the correct prescription before we left! This level of customer service is just so impressive and appreciated.

Fantastic experience: I ordered the Cressi z1 frames mask, the Scubapro snorkel and the Scubapro travel fins (online). Immediately after placing the order, I got a call from Robin (who was actually on holiday visiting her family) to inform me of stock numbers and alternatives if I needed the order quickly. After letting her know I had time, she immediately put an order in for exactly what I wanted. I received further communication from her throughout the process, which was amazing! I felt like Robin went above and beyond to get me the best of the best! She treated me like I had been a long time customer, even though it was my first time ordering from Bob's Scuba Shop. Her customer service is by far the best I have received at any store - ever! She took time out of her own holiday and was so incredibly genuine in wanting to help me. If I need anymore dive gear in the future I will for sure be going back to Bob's Scuba Shop for Robin's support!

Fantastic experience: My son just finished his open water certification with Robin and her team. Robin was very accommodating when we had to job reschedule my son’s open water dives. Marco and Jay created a laid back atmosphere during the open water dives and made sure everyone was at ease! Bud was also great fun during the pool sessions! A great experience!!!

Negative experience: Went into your store for a new mask only to find your NO RETURNS NO EXCHANGES POLICY. This effectively keeps me out as a customer...what if I spend $200 on a new mask : I have lost all my money. Best to order from the internet and take your chances rather than buy from a STORE THAT WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO CHECK THE MASK OUT IN A SWIMMING POOL. I rented one of their masks to try it but all of the used masks do not reflect their inventory. Beside the $73 mask I tried out had overall less durability than the one I bought 5 years ago.

Fantastic experience: Needed new prescription lenses in new goggles. Visit to optical store was not the best solution. Visit to Bob's Scuba Shop in Hamilton proved to be well worth it. Robynne was very knowledgeable about masks AND lenses. Without being pushy, she suggested mask types, colours, etc. all to good effect. On top of that, they inserted new prescription lenses within 24 hours. The whole experience was professional, informative and very satisfactory. I can highly recommend Bob's Scuba Shop or any of your snorkelling or diving needs.

I had many questions being a novice, along with my own specific needs. She answered everything with a lot of knowledge, I wasn't pressured to buy anything. Fantastic experience: The other day I was at Bob's to enquire about Open Water Diver Certification. I was greeted by Robin. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and informative but most of all she was patient and took the time to answer all my questions. I was not pressured what so ever to purchase anything or even sign up with them. Robin was a total pro and it was easy to recognize the enjoyment in what she does. As a result I registered for the program. Bob's will be my dive shop and I look forward to becoming a part of their diver community. 10/10

Fantastic experience: I'm new to the scuba world and have recently taken my Open Water course through Bob's. It was an amazing experience and the team at the shop are experienced, and professional. I have signed up for the Advanced Open Water course and will be diving in the spring and looking forward to taking more courses with them as i gain experience. My friend and I stopped by last weekend to pick up some snorkling gear. for an upcoming trip I have never been snorkling, so trying to choose the right equipment was overwhelming. The owner explained each aspect to me and talked about the pros and cons of each peice. I ended up leaving the store with a pair of fins, mask and snorkle! Fantastic experience: I originally signed up for PADI's Open Water Diver course back in July 2018 with another dive shop since they were closer to my house. However, the hours and service I got with them almost caused my course to expire. When I switched over to Bob's Scuba, everything went much more smoothly. Robin was very friendly and polite to me everytime I saw her or spoke with her. She is patient with anyone who walks in the shop and she even contacted PADI on my behalf to answer any questions I had for them. The shop hours were much more flexible and the dive and rental equipment prices were much cheaper than other dive shops. The dive instructor, Brian, was fantastic as well. Overall, my diver training experience was much better, more stress-free and was made possible thanks to Bob's Scuba Shop. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to get diving training and certification!

After reading the one star review by Robert chinnery I wonder if he was even in Bob’s scuba. Then I looked at all his reviews and everything made sense. 90% of his reviews are one star. Maybe it’s a good thing that he shops out of town. He can take his bad attitude and one star reviews to a different city.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I have been very impressed with our dealings with Bob's Scuba Shop. We took a scuba refresher course in January 2019 and rented gear for a trip a few weeks later. Robin and her staff were very accomodating, informative and welcoming. We liked having a book for our refresher, as opposed to the online course. It allowed for us to review and check on information frequently and easily. Our refesher with Jason was extremely helpful in getting us reaquainted with our scuba skills. He answered all our questions and concerns in a relaxed manner. We felt we had lots of pool time to feel comfortable underwater with our scuba gear. We appreciated the attention to detail in our rental equiptment. ie our dive computers had new batteries and our regulators had new mouthpieces installed. Fantastic experience: Staff knew just what I was looking for. My son is 8 my other is 10 and my oldest s 14. Each boy I have returned here to have geared up! Good fit and quality make for safe enjoyment of snorkeling for my boys. I have seen them grow in skill as swimmers due to the higher enjoyment from proper fit gear.
