Fantastic experience: About a month ago, I was looking for a ticket to go back home. No ticket was available on the airline’s website for 2-3 days Whatsoever! I googled agencies in Vancouver and I came across Apadana Travel agency. I remember it was 2:45 and they were closing at 3:00. I gave the agent my itinerary and he managed to secure a seat for me and email me the ticket in 3-5 minutes over the phone less than 24 hours before the flight. Negative experience: Hi friends and families, I was with my children at Apadana Agency at 17th st Lonsdale Ave North Vancouver about 2 weeks ago. Kivan Karbalai was on the phone, I was standing nobody else assisted me for a while after waiting. Anyways, I then took a seat and noticed the man beside me whom worked there was coughing very much, was so sick, without any mask, nothing. He was arguing on the phone with somene else again instead of assisting me. finally after 10 min man named kivan said hi and kept coughing at the very small place. He was so rush and just jump on the line without any saying . I felt so disrespected by him and decided to leave. without any result. after 2 days my poor child got sick so badly.with fever was at emergency .i got sick after him too.i never ever see faced with this kind of behaviour ever in my life. I decided to write here because i had a very unprofessional and disrespectful exprience in that companys environment. He didnt care about very simpe matters and his team was so rude

Positive experience: I like this travel agency and have been getting all my flight tickets from them over the last 7-10 yrs. The only thing which bothers me is that they tell you the total ticket price without letting you know that it includes a $100 service fee charged by them and not the airline itself. You find this out later when you look at you credit card statement. Not sure if this is a common industry practice.

Negative experience: I strongly recommend avoiding Apadana Travel due to the extremely stressful and time-consuming situation that we recently went through with them. They do not update you on your flights’ changes, blame you for their lack of responsibility, and do not value customer service. We found them to be dishonest, unprofessional, and rude. I bought tickets for my mom from Apadana Travel. On her return to Iran, we arrived at YVR 2.5 hours before departure to Montreal and we learned that her flight had been rescheduled for departure an hour and 10 mins earlier, thus my mom could not board the flight. Apadana Travel never informed us about this schedule change. In fact, I called Apadana Travel 4 days before my mom’s travel and asked them about any changes to the rules or anything else that we should be aware of, and they told me that nothing had changed, and we should be at the airport 2 hrs before departure. After asking them about this flight change, they initially claimed that Air Canada or Qatar Airways failed to provide the update. After following up with those airlines, it turned out that Air Canada in fact had sent notifications to Apadana Travel, but they failed to inform us. After confronting them with this confirmation from Air Canada, they finally admitted that they did receive the notification and because it was only 1hr 10 mins change they did not update us. This resulted in her missing the flight and having to take another COVID test for the rebooked flight. Needless to say, this was incredibly stressful. We would have been better off purchasing our own tickets online – why use a travel agent? If you do not want to go through such a stressful and time-consuming situation, I highly recommend booking your own tickets or finding a different travel agency. PS: We sued them in the BC Small Claim court, and they agreed to compensate us for the additional COVID test and time.
