Negative experience: Dropped by recently at the Oakville location to get some info on cruises. Asked a few questions and the sales associate Linda laughed at me for never been on a cruise before. I told her I get motion sickness and can't swim (worst case scenario obviously but could happen) and she looked at me like I was an idiot. She was rude and unwilling to help or answer any of my follow up questions. Nice face front, Sell off vacations.

Negative experience: I dropped by Sunwing office (Oakville location) and needed some help with finding a flight that works for me as part of a family vacation. The girl was so rude and didn’t even try to help solve any issues! She basically rudely said this is what it is and go book what you see online. She was rude, impatient, didn’t let me finish my sentences, no smile, and angry! So, my dear there is no difference between you and a robot; of course a robot works much better and at least isn’t rude. Customer service job is the worst choice for you! You have zero compassion.

Negative experience: I vacationed with sunwing in Mexico December 2022. Was set to fly home December 24th, flight was delayed 8 times in 36 hours. Sunwing customer support basically ghosted me, the rep at the hotel had no info to provide. I had to book another night at the hotel and find my own transport to the airport the next day. In all I am $1,000 out of pocket. I submitted a claim with them in January and have followed up numerous times. Nothing. Would never book with them again, this is not how you treat customers.

Positive experience: Kelly helped my friend and I book our all inclusive vacation. She was very nice and kind. She did her best to figure out why the prices shown on her end was different from the prices shown on the sunwing website. We were able to book with the price that we had seen online. Smooth process

We were on hold for an hour and a half before the line got dropped the day before. The rep we got was fantastic, she pushed for us to get our vouchers redeemed. She booked everything. I highly recommend her as she is always looking to make sure your vacation is the best it can be. Can't wait to book my next one through her.

Negative experience: I am writing concerning the vacation I paid for to go to Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic). I paid so much for this vacation for my family of 8. To begin, the flight was delayed one whole hour and with boarding we reached so late. I was told by Erika that this resort is one of the best being rated 5 stars, but with my stay there, I discovered how bad the resort was. First of all, one of my children’s rooms did not have internet for 3 days, and we would tell the Sunwing people at the resort called Emotions 3 times a day and they would tell us they fixed it but they did not. Second of all, the buffet is so bad, I found hair in the food and glass pieces even and on top of that it didn’t include variety of what people eat. For instance, there is only 2 types of not fresh fruits, one type only very old disgusting fish . Being someone who doesn’t eat meat and drink, I had low variety of options to eat. I spent all the vacation eating fries and crackers and it made me lose my appetite. Secondly, the rooms do not get cleaned, two whole days my room didn’t get cleaned, even for my children. They clean when I tell them which is highly unprofessional for a resort. Thirdly, bathrooms are not clean at all, and do not have locks in them. In addition, the resort has restaurants in which they told us at the beginning to reserve on the same day in the morning, but then when we went the next day to book for a restaurant they told us they don’t do reservations. This shows that this resort is inefficient and disorganized. Sunwing tricked me by telling me this resort is nice , clean & one of the best but all it did was ruin my experience due to unprofessional and unpleasant service.

Negative experience: We bought vacation packages through Sun Wing and paid an additional $113, for tickets to Coco Bongo. Sunwing provided a voucher which we were to exchange with a representative, who failed to meet us at the agreed upon time, for actual tickets. This event was intended to be the big bachelorette night out and we ended up waiting for hours in three different lines dressed in our black cocktail dresses and heels and having altercations with the various Coco Bongo staff. We emailed our representative who told us to go drink (WHERE? WE'RE WAITING IN A LINE!!) We finally got in to a packed venue where surprise! there is no seating for this "show" which consists of mostly watching other tourists dance on platforms with less than 30 minutes of choreographed show. You will be packed in like sardines, and trampled and pushed around by everyone, including the staff. One of my toes was so badly squashed that it is now purple, nail and all. We literally couldn't move and stood under a fire exit (one for 4 different levels) because we felt so unsafe and uncomfortable. If there is ever a fire, most of the patrons would die! The actual choreographed show has zero artistic value. I am lucky enough to have attended many performances, (all of which costed less than $113 USD for a (seated) ticket: Wicked, Book of Mormon, Phantom of the Opera, Swan Lake and even Hamilton) and can now appreciate the artistic value, taste level and humanity that the arts bring to society. This is not art, it is trash. Coco Bongo is just another fixture of the rapey and exploitative tapestry that is prevalent across Playa Del Carmen and Cancun. Our travel agent is putting this disaster on SunWing, and suggesting we wait to hear back whether they'll make this right (it is now over one week later), but Talk of the Town/ SunWing provide the ultimate endorsement by recommending and selling Coco Bongo. This place survives off of people who trust these false recommendations. Stay the hell away!!

Fantastic experience: I would like to share my good experience with sunwing in Oakville. I was planning a family cruise trip with my two kids and my husband. Since it is my very first time planning a cruise trip, I had so many questions about how everything worked. One of your great staff member, Janette, in Oakville, found a perfect cruise package for our family at very good price. Not only she offered us a great package, but also she explained to me about the cruise system and kindly answered my questions for about an hour. It was very nice of her to do so since if it wasn’t for her we could’ve missed out on a lot of things. She even helped me checking in online. It must’ve been a very challenging job for her to figure everything out in very short period of time since the cruise departure date was Saturday and I visited her for the first time on Wednesday.
