Negative experience: Family was booked to cuba for February 2025. After a month or so we were advised our vacation was canceled due to flight issues. We got our money refunded but nothing else such as a voucher. No response to our formal complaint either The same vacation was and is still advertised on their website but at $400 more per person. I'm sure the cancelation was not related to the price increase,l... just a coincidence.

Fantastic experience: Salma helped us book a last-minute vacation (leaving in 7 days). She was cordial, candid and knowledgeable - wonderful to work with. When I sent her follow-up questions (on a Sunday), she responded promptly. The only issue is that the forms don't take into account if you've upgraded to Option Flex or paid to pre-book your seats. So the follow-up questions I sent to Salma were to clarify that the language in the invoice and in her email didn't apply to us -- we found that confusing and a bit time-consuming for both Salma and us. I'll post another review when we get home. This review is for the booking, which, so far, has been very smooth! Thanks Salma!

Negative experience: My wife and I just went there this morning, wife saw them inside so she went to open the door, it was 10 minutes before open. She simply asked if they were open early. The one smaller girl said she was just booting up her computer. The larger girl on the left proceeded to rudely tell my wife “We don’t open til 10, so you can come back at 10”. Which was fine but the way she said it was just with such attitude. Where the other girl was very pleasant. If you’re not open yet, maybe don’t unlock your doors 10 minutes early. Will never deal with sell off for anything. We are going elsewhere.

Negative experience: Is there a zero star? I went to ask for a vacation. I was told I will be called back with a quote. When nobody called me, I’ve called them and was told someone will call me. Someone is still called Nobody. They aren’t interested in your business.

Negative experience: Not impressed with the whole experience. We booked our vacation 6 months ahead and even when we went into the location and told the agent the destinations we were thinking of she never showed us any info on her computer. Just sat behind the desk and pulled up random resorts not telling us about them or showing us pictures. Actually half the time my wife and I just googled while she was working away on the computer. Not really selling us on any locations. When we finally selected mexico she did suggest a resort but that's it. Not telling us about amenities pluses minuses or anything. Again google was our friend. I thought the whole point of dealing with a person was for them to try and sell you on the resort show pictures and heck maybe even personal experiences if they went there. When we finally settled on the resort (which is ok the place is beautiful but has some down sides. Like having no seating pool or beach due to selfish people saving chairs all day and not using them. However you would think the agent would have an idea of this sort of thing seeing that on Facebook groups it's a big topic but I'm not totally faulting the agent for this. They can't control how ignorant people are) we had questions and through limited email replies and even when we were there in person questions weren't being answered. and being that we haven't been on vacation in about 10 years we had a few as we were sure things have changed. The communication after the trip was bought and paid for was very little. It's like they just forget about you and on to the next prospective customer. To us it just felt like we should of saved the time of going into the store and booked online. We have booked previous vacations with a different agency and they did a great job selling us on places asking us what we were looking for and bringing her own experience to the table.

Negative experience: Had an awful first time experience booking with sell off. Prior to booking I called to book with an agent. She was absolutely miserable and essentially told me to just book online - I was confused re: proper insurance for the vacation and what was being offered to me. I ended up booking on my own and shortly after I realized it was not the insurance I wanted. I called back within 30 minutes of booking and spoke to another agent they were unable to help me (this was a Saturday night) so he said management would call me back Monday - no one called back so I called Tuesday a very nice guy (so I thought) helped me and then had to transfer me I sat on hold for 1.5 hours before hanging up and calling his direct line back, I left a total of 4 messages and still have not heard back. Ended up calling back and speaking with another representative who happened to be at a location near me (Barrie)- thankfully. She said she was going to help and call air Canada and help sort out my account and that she would call me back same day- 4 days later I had not heard back even after leaving a voicemail for her so i went in to the physical location - where I was treated like I was dumb, an inconvenience and a nuisance. Don't bother using selloff do it yourself direct with the provider they're not helpful and once you book they forget about you

Fantastic experience: I was going to book my vacation online but I had a question about insurance so I called customer service. I spoke with Stephanie and she was very helpful! She didn't know the answer to my question about Covid insurance being included with their Premium Protection Plan so she reached out to the Manulife agent to find the answer. I ended up booking my vacation with her and she was able to provide me with a little bit of a discount. Every dollar counts these days! I would suggest calling in to book since the representative is able to save you a bit of money. She also sold me on signing up for Aeroplan points and credit card since she shared with me her experience in travelling on points! I've book through Sell Off Vacations many times but this is the first person who's really gone out of their way to help me! I will definitely be booking with her for my future vacations. Negative experience: Walked in yesterday to book a trip (Barrie, Ont) at 4pm…EASY sale!!!! Two agents were there on the phone…no problem…both looked at me…however, neither of them smiled or acknowledged that I was there. The one agent finished her call then proceeded to take another phone call…still no acknowledgment. 4:45pm…went outside sat in my car and booked over the phone with an agent. Very poor customer service.

Negative experience: No travel advice was given regarding documents needed for travel and visa requirements either. So not only did it cause travel delays but emotional aggravation and unhappiness. I also had to rebook my flights at the newer price which was at my expense due to agent error. The cherry on top is the process of reporting any issues or if you have an emergency is an email address. Nobody to speak to. The money you may save with Selloffvacations is not worth having good customer service and advice which when dealing with a travel consultant is the least you expect.

Fantastic experience: Great service from Heather to help with our flights and car reservations in Hawaii. Hawaii is not an easy place to get in and out of and she was able to get us there, around the islands, and back with the most convenience for our family. And when we had to make changes due to the volcano activity on the big island, Heather was able to work with the airlines to manage the situation in the best possible way. And the car rental pricing through SellOffVacations was fantastic ... way cheaper than booking yourself online. Great service and great value. Well done!
