CAA Store - Peterborough

Fantastic experience: I experienced a flat tire on highway 115 and requested CAA send out a tow truck to tow it to the dealership. Matt was very prompt in arriving, he was there in less than 15 minutes. He checked the tire and diagnosed that the tire valve had broken off. He went in to the dealership to let them know the issue. He checked to make sure I had someone picking me up before departing on his next call . He was kind, professional, and because of Matt I can highly recommend CAA. Thank you Matt for the great service.

Fantastic experience: Quick and easy service to get international driving permit.

Negative experience: Left me and my children stranded in a random parking lot in Mississauga for 3 hours at night. Will be looking into other roadside assistance going forward

Negative experience: Save money and stay clear. Left me stranded in my girlfriends freezing cold car with her caa card in my hand. Blizzarding out. I pay the bills and yet she was at school so they wouldn't help at all.

Negative experience: We needed a tow from Markham ont. to Bailieboro. They disqualified us because of no insurance which we had but driver said no so he would tow us on his own and pay him. We refused. After we got home we called verified our insurance they towed us. They didn't however reimburse us for gas because we had to be there to show our card ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: Went to Peterborough CAA store to obtain an International Drivers Permit. Dre`a was extremely helpful and friendly. She was so personable, we chatted, we laughed, she made us feel so very comfortable. We were in and out with my IDP in 15 minutes! Fantastic!

Negative experience: As a CAA member I think it is unacceptable the if I have to make a appointment to ask one travel question, and being told that if I have not booked a trip you can not answer a question. Makes no sense. Very unhappy.

Positive experience: My wife and I went to caa Peterborough to book a trip to Dominican Republic. We were told to wait two weeks because of workloads. My wife booked our trip and paid for it in the parking lot ourselves within 10 or 15 minutes. The CAA did offer travel insurance at the time, but we had to decline because of not having the trip booked yet.

Negative experience: No service in the Bancroft Area anymore, not sure what I'm paying for. Customer service hung up on me 3 times, the 4th call I got through to find out where the town truck was. I'd been waiting 4hrs with no communication or updates from CAA. Really brutal, don't waste your time with CAA if you're from Bancroft.

The client serve representatives are efficient and friendly. This is a great place for travel related services and merchandise. Competitive pricing, high quality products, and good perks.

Negative experience: After placing an order online, I was never notified of its arrival. When I tracked and found it was there, I spent 20 min in lineup to pick it up. Retail store and trip planning is not a good combination. People in line are getting passport photos, booking trips, insurance and everything else CAA does, so if you want a quick pickup, it won't happen unless the store is empty. There is a small shopping area, but if you're there to pick up you can't browse or you lose your place in the line. I will never order for pick up there again. Home delivery is fine but I hadn't ordered enough for free delivery. Their business model needs some updating for online shoppers

Fantastic experience: Wonderful assistance for travel plans, trip kits, insurance, and comfort aids. Best part is the CAA Plus that assures you will be assisted on the roadways. They even rescued my daughter stranded on the busy 401 and towed her vehicle home. This Mom is eternally grateful.

Negative experience: This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had in any place I have been to. From the moment I walked in no one gave me the time of day. When I walked up to one of the membership desks the lady at the table didn’t even look up until I said “excuse me”. When she looked up from her computer she rolled her eyes at me and from the moment we started a conversation all I got was attitude, and a sarcastic smile. All I wanted was to get some information on their travel insurance options as I was planning a trip in the near future. She rudely responded with “are you only looking for information, or to actually buy travel insurance”. The whole time I was there I felt as if I was wasting their time and they obviously did not want to be there. This store needs to hire new people who actually know good customer service skills, or they need to train their employees on how to provide good customer service because what I experienced was one the worst service I have ever received.

Fantastic experience: The store is full of so much information even if you aren't a CAA member. But if you are a member then it's even more amazing. The staff there are so knowledgeable and willing to help. If you have an idea for a trip they will give you so much information to help make your trip even better. Maps. Information booklets filled with fun things to do. Places were you get a discount with your CAA card. We were so grateful for their help.
