Fantastic experience: I had an incredibly positive experience obtaining my International Driving Permit (IDP) recently. The service was not only quick but also efficient, as I was able to obtain the IDP on the spot. The agent assisting me was friendly and helpful, making the entire process smooth and pleasant. What stood out the most was the remarkable speed of the service. In just 15 minutes, I went from arriving at the facility to having the IDP in my hands and being ready to head home. This level of efficiency is truly commendable and made the entire experience hassle-free. The agent's friendly attitude added a personal touch to the transaction, making me feel comfortable and well-assisted throughout the process. I appreciate the professionalism and promptness of the service, and I would highly recommend it to others in need of a quick and reliable solution for obtaining an IDP.

Negative experience: I couldn't even get past the quote stage. After two days of explaining via email that I wanted a quote for both home AND auto insurance, I give up. Their website is a mess. They have a page dedicated to getting a bundle quote, but the redirects go to forms for just auto OR home insurance. Either their staff is poorly trained or they don't bother to read emails. With a customer service department this incompetent, I have no desire to give them my money.

Negative experience: Asked them to look into a trip for us and left all our needs and info. The agent took 3 weeks to get back to us, only to ask for our info again as he'd lost it. Other than vehicle servicing, I wouldn't bother with CAA. We went to another travel agent after waiting for nothing from these guys and had something booked in an hour.

Fantastic experience: I recently worked with Scarlett Lu to plan my very first trip to Egypt. Scarlett was AMAZING. At our first meeting, I shared my ideal itinerary with her and told her my travel dates were flexible to allow us to get better prices on flights. We then set a second meeting to do all the bookings. During the time between our meetings, Scarlett figured out the flights that would be most affordable with the lowest travel time. She also provided recommendations for hotels that were different than the ones I had suggested because she went the extra mile and did research into the safety and cleanliness of the hotels. The insurance system was down when I was there to book everything, so she told me she would be in touch as soon as it was working again. Almost half a week later, she took the initiative to send me an update without me prompting. She then followed up as soon as the system was working again, and told me when I could come in to finish my bookings. Overall, Scarlett was incredibly patient, paid close attention to detail, answered all my questions, checked and tripled checked all the bookings before confirming them, and was incredibly pleasant to work with. I HIGHLY recommend booking your travel with Scarlett at the Hunt Club CAA location!

Negative experience: This location is grossly understaffed. They don't answer the phone, scheduled appointments don't materialize, no reception, no one to accept money for instore purchases and unserviced lineups. They even have a professionally made sign saying they are understaffed and be patient. The 2 people on staff spent 75% of their time listening and talking about travel stories from their clients instead of quickly and efficiently handling the request and moving on to the next waiting client. Really poorly run location. This business is member owned. Get your act together and run it properly and efficiently....

Negative experience: Arrived today wanting an IDP (Driving Permit), I researched the CAA website online first to see what I needed, and there was nothing listed that I needed to being. I arrived and they asked if I brought a picture, I said no and said I didn't know I needed to bring one. She said that's ok, we will take one here. After the whole process was done, I was set to pay the $25 fee but she said it was $41, an extra $16 for the picture. She never said there was a charge, the site never said there was a charge, she just sat there knowing that I had to pay and there was nothing I could do. What a lousy experience...

Fantastic experience: Become a member and have peace of mind if you have a break down on the road and need to be towed. Well worth the money. Does not break your wallet either. Member since 1993.

Highly recommend this place if you want to book any kind of travel, travel insurance, cruise, travel products, etc. If you are a CAA member you get exclusive perks for the store merchandise as well as deals in regards to travel. Premier/plus memberships are the best bang for your buck! Will be back.

Fantastic experience: Prompt & personalized service, broad range of services & travel related products. Even with current restrictions and limited access to the offices, staff were extremely helpful and offered quick turn-around for requests.

Negative experience: I went in today to get a passport-sized photo taken. The photo came out fine but the stamp on the back was not clear and smudged easily. Furthermore, the employee who took my photo came off as awkward, aggressive, and angry. Their customer service definitely needs to be worked on.

Negative experience: My husband was involved in an accident. His vehicle was totalled, parts were scattered all over Hunt Club Road. He called for a tow to get it to the police station to get an accident report. He called CAA for a tow and WAS REFUSED because he didn't have a police report. He tried to explain the vehicle was not able to be driven but she still refused. I was under the impression you called them when you needed a tow. Boy, was I wrong! I guess you pay their membership fee just so you can carry another card in your already stuffed wallet. I called to lodge a complaint the next day. I spoke with a manager who promised to talk to HER manager and get back to me within a week...that was mid-July of this year. Staff are acknowledge, incompetent and extremely unprofessional.

Negative experience: The car insurance gentleman is never in. Gone for lunch, just stepped out for coffee , no matter what time of day. Was in three times over two day period a few months ago and last week again, just stepped out for coffee. Had to call toronto for service to insure new vehicle. Will change companies after 30 years due to no local service
