Negative experience: Very bad communication! False advertising as to what they actually provide when you arrive and ZERO after support! Save your money and go solo!!

Positive experience: They're pretty good! However they're not necessary if you have your wits about you. First of all let me just say that these guys do deliver what they advertise. You give them a ton of money and yes they do help you find a job, accommodation and give you all the info you need to know about living in Canada. But the keyword is 'help'. Because if you're willing to do your own research and make your own phone calls, you can save so much money. The main thing that you need to know before you pay these guys is that they can't guarantee you a job. They just can't. Which is fine except they didn't tell me that from the start. They only told me that once I started stressing I still didn't have a job a month before I was planning to fly out. They love to put ads on Instagram where it's a young guy or girl raving about how stress free and easy it is if you go through them but I can't say that's 100% true. Sorry. Theyre also gonna try convince you to do travel insurance and flights through them. Whatever you do, DON'T DO IT. It's so much cheaper if you do it yourself. They probably just want commission. Three times they tried to get me to pay for flights and insurance through them and that was way before I even had a job sorted. So what was the point? The communication and organisation isn't always there. Sometimes you really have to chase them up to get what you need. I understand they have a lot of clients to look after, but when I have to send multiple emails asking about things I should already know before they finally respond, that's not good. When it comes to getting a job, all they do is put an application forward on your behalf. You still have to make your own resume and handle the job interviews. That's fine, but do you really want to pay all that money just to have someone apply for a job for you? Go on the resorts website. Anyone can apply. I'll give 3 stars though because like I said, they did deliver what they advertised and they did give a pretty good orientation in Vancouver. There's other little benefits too such as discounts to certain activities and even a night in Vegas I have yet to claim. But yeah for anyone who wants to start travelling, just keep in mind you'll always save a lot of money doing your own research and going your own way.

Negative experience: Really disappointed with this company. I didn’t have anything set up yet (trip was still 9 months away), and by accident, I somehow chose payment instalments and I didn’t even realize. My credit card was charged a large sum, and I contacted them immediately. I had a phone call where they tried to sell me on the trip, but I insisted I didn't want to set it up right now as I had a family member pass away. They said refunds are “case by case” scenarios. Took over a week to hear anything back and said they could only do a partial refund for a trip I won’t even be taking, or set even set up yet. I explained how I need a full refund as the family funeral expenses were high, but they just explained the policy to me in more detail. I ended up only getting half back for a trip I won’t be taking. Really upsetting, I won’t be taking a trip with them anymore.

Negative experience: Unreliable business that prey on younger people for money, refused to help or guide her and is now refusing to give her money back! Do not use this company!

Negative experience: Do not recommend scammed my friend out of £2000 and postponed her trip to next year. They are now refusing to give her a refund or help her start her trip this year. This was no fault of her own. Can’t trust them

Negative experience: This company charge a high fee for the ‘visa support’ they provide. My sister ended up submitting one form wrong, despite requesting help from this company on multiple occasions. She paid thousands of pounds and they then only allowed her to apply to one singular job. She had to ask multiple times before they allowed any further applications. They ultimately tried to push back her experience to next year due to errors in forms, forms which they claim to provide assistance with. If I could rank this business 0 stars I would, they market themselves as easing the process of international experiences for young people, yet as soon as they have your money provide little substantial support and do not give people the support advertised with regard to the visa acquisition process.

Fantastic experience: Very good

Negative experience: My daughter was pressured to pay all fees way before needed and due to situations she needed to cancel. They are stating they are keeping money and only store credit. This is ridiculous fraudulent behaviour and I am still waiting for a response as the payee. I don’t recommend this company currently for shady business behaviour.

Fantastic experience: I was a bit hesitant travelling solo for the first time overseas, but Global really helped me with everything important and made me really enjoy my time in Canada

Negative experience: Worst company I’ve dealt with. Big promises with very minimal delivery and at such an inflated price. You’d be better off travelling without their help. Which in my case I paid them for anyway

Negative experience: Unfortunately I was unable to find the office of this business maybe they shut down maybe they moved it would have been good to have some information for some flights however it did not happen

Positive experience: Global Work & Travel definitely have their pros and cons. My partner and I booked a working holiday to Canada with them. Pros: - They provided assistance with obtaining the necessary visas (which by the way is a difficult, time consuming process and requires a lot of effort) - They helped get an interview for a job (which unfortunately ended up being an awful place to work and I had to quit but without a job offer I wouldn’t have been able to obtain the visa so it was a necessary step to go through) - They provide assistance with obtaining a SIM card, bank account and SIN number. - They held a helpful orientation session when we first arrived -Their Canadian office was cool, offering free drinks and a fantastic view of North Van. -The hostel that they provide was pretty decent and in a cool area of downtown - My arrivals coordinator Eimear has been very friendly, kind and helpful throughout the entire experience. Cons: - They charge a lot more for flights and insurance on top of their already pretty high price to book the trip through them. ( I suggest you do your research and book your own flights and insurance to save money) I was quoted 5k by them for 2 of years travel insurance but I was able to get insured after doing my own research for 2k. - The different departments within the company are located around the world which seems to cause issues with communication between departments. - One of the staff members in the travel department named Stacey came across quite rude and unhelpful when we experienced an issue with our flights which is the last thing you need when doing something as big and nerve wracking as temporarily moving to the other side of the world. (We also ended up having to pay even more for the flight as we weren’t sat together and the only option to be sat together was to upgrade) This flight also included a 6hr layover in Calgary which wasn’t ideal. - When we first arrived, the Uber that they had organized for us to take us to the hostel had been incorrectly set to take us to the airport instead. This set us up to get scammed by an aggressive Uber driver for 80$. GW&T did reimburse us for this immediately after I made them aware of what happened, which I appreciated however it was a scary experience and not a nice way to begin the trip. - There is a lot more costs involved with the trip than the initial price. Overall, I wouldn’t not recommend GW&T as they have been useful in getting us out here and providing us with necessary knowledge but as I mentioned before it’s definitely worth making your own arrangements with the things you are able to.

Negative experience: Were hard to deal with. The flights they were trying to book me were twice as expensive as I could find online. Were useless to deal with, ended up pretty much doing my own research and doing everything myself. They were happy to take my money but then were not very helpful after that. In response to the owner, I did email you guys and you have confirmed that I was indeed a client of yours. Thanks

Fantastic experience: The service here is amazing, did not expect the amount of assistance Global provides. Always patient with you. Always there to answer any question - whether it be dumb or logical. Shared the pain of organising Visas and other travel forms, to the many back and forth emails about amazing job opportunities and interviews. Shoutout to Eimear, she's the best. Would probably still be at step 1 if not for her.

Fantastic experience: I had the total privilege of working with Jess and Stacey! From the phone calls that started the whole travel process, they both got me stoked for the adventure to come! Both were so helpful, kind, and patient with all the questions i had. They seriously kill it at their jobs! Absolute naturals! They were checking in and were always open to any questions I had or something that I needed to change! I couldn't have asked for better people to work with! They seriously are with you every step of the way! Totally recommend!

Fantastic experience: My initial travel had been delayed due to COVID but they helped me switch to a new fun filled working adventure in Canada and it is amazing definitely a once in a lifetime experience. Waking up and seeing the snowy mountains, walking up it is breathtakingly magical and I am so thankful to all the team that made sure I got there safely.

Fantastic experience: Such a rewarding experience they provided me. They work with local organizations and people to create an experience you otherwise would not be able to create for yourself and they do it so easily it leaves you with little to nothing to worry about! Ellyse was the person I worked with for my trip to Costa Rica and she couldn't have done a better job! She made sure to check in regularly before my trip to make sure I had everything ready including helping me navigate all the COVID procedures to get into the country. This was my first solo trip and I have to say I don't think it would have been possible without Global Work & Travel or without Ellyse's help!

Fantastic experience: The team at Global have been amazing from the first moment i clicked "more information" on their website nearly 3 years ago. They have been everything I needed to help me get traveling. Especially through covid times the team have responded to our requests, concerns and needs quickly and have put everything we could possibly need at our fingertips. Anastasia has been incredible with organising our job offers, transport and giving us the lay of the land. I highly recommend her for any trips you are thinking about taking in the future!

Fantastic experience: 100% I wouldn't be in Canada right now if it wasn't for Global! Special thanks to Eimear and Stacey. I signed up before Covid after learning about the age cut off of 35. I was 34 at the time. No one knew we were about to get hit with a global pandemic. When the borders closed, I thought I wouldn't get to go because I didn't have enough time with my age. Loads of people online said that you don't need a company, just go here, do this, do that. I didn't have time on my side and I had never done anything like this before, so I made the decision to use Global. I still followed all the online forums and groups but to be honest, most of the time, I found the free support to not be very helpful. Eimear helped me with absolutely every step. She even told me what to write on forms and in letters she answered the most random questions and was (still is) always super friendly. She has been the main point of contact for me and my knight in sparkly, glitter armour. Stacey was my Travel Concierge. She was super helpful organising flights. My exemption to leave the country didn't come through before my flights (not Stacey's fault - it was just due to unpredictable times with the pandemic). Stacey managed to cancel my flights so that I did not get charged as a no show. She kept in constant communication with me, booked me a hotel, another Covid test, new flights and it all worked out great. After going through the process, I can see how so much of the free advice you get online is either wrong, incomplete or just not explained very well. If I had not signed up with Global, at 35 and a half, I would not have made it here before turning 36. The entire team is excellent! Thanks so much Eimear and Stacey for making this happen!

Fantastic experience: Ellyse was very helpful and took care of so many arrangements for me. From my arrival at the airport, to starting my classes at the TEFL school nearby, everything went smoothly. She did a great job.

Negative experience: I happily booked a trip before all the pandemic issue started growing worldwide. Unfortunately for me , my entire life situation changed and I was no longer eligible to do the Teach abroad program i had picked. My unique situation for the trip was had ABOLUTELY NO administration work done on my profile! Meaning I had NO departure date, NO flight booked, NO living accommodation set up, NO Job arranged for me. SO when I call to inquire about a possible refund I was baffled when they said they are not obligated to list me the administrative work they had done for my package. I even offered to prove to them my situation that I could provided them proof of my job lost and housing lost. I am starting to get back on my feet and the deposit I had with them could greatly improve my situation but no. My first initial call with them I know was a basic sales call as i noticed they didnt even bother to properly write my name in their booking references. The first time i called my booked advisor to let him know of my situation he did not even bother to write an update on my situation , rather he just said to transfer the credit to someone else. I find it saddening as i tried and everyone I inquire had a some sort of dissatifaction from this company, ; either trip accomodations not properly met, issues encountered on trip. And they had no interest in getting further programs from Global.

Fantastic experience: I decided to take the plunge and move to Canada on a working holiday , the whole process was make super easy with Anastasia always at the end of an email to help guide me through the whole journey. Stacey helped me regarding flights and insurances which ran smoothly with her guidance and help along the way . So therefore in my experience with globalworkandtravel , if the nerves are holding you back , please ensure they do what they can to guide you and make it as stress free as possible . i met someone in the airport , who decided to make the move without the assist of a company such as global work and travel , and i soon realised how stress free and smooth my whole journey was from signing up to the program to arriving in canada.

Negative experience: Global Work and Travel is officially a hack, they make you pay over $2000 dollars and yet you still have to pay for the flights, which are like over a thousand dollars and you need to pay a fee of $425 or more for a working visa, you can save even more money on expedia it's insane. Don't waste your time on this website, you are only loosing money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: This company straight up stole $1000 from me. They promised me help with getting a VISA, setting up a job and finding accomidations. They did none of the above. When i was on the phone with the agent she told me this whole shpeel about all the great things she would do for me, said I had to pay first and after I had I told her my plan to go for 3 months and she said she wouldnt help me unless i stayed for 6 months. I said I would and then she still never helped me. This is a SCAM. Do not give them any money.

Fantastic experience: Going to Africa was always a distant dream of mine- but it wasn't until the COVID-19 pandemic that forced me out of my comfort zone and leave Canada to do some good in this world. I found Global Work and Travel- and from there, it was a piece of cake. Reece, my trip coordinator was AMAZING. He made sure I was ready to go to my trip to Tanzania and answered all my questions/concerns I had along the way. I had no issues leaving the country- despite what you may think. And just like that, I was ready to go to the child orphanage. It was the most amazing experience- the kids, the scenery and the people you meet along the way. They made it so easy- and I am so sad that I didn't find them sooner. You will not be disappointed- trust me. Go explore the world! The world is waiting for you...

They were both so patient with me, thorough, and were always so happy and helpful. I always felt so comfortable and eager to go on the trip, they both seriously influenced my desire to leave as they increased my own excitement. The staff really made it worth it. Negative experience: Never mind Global Work and Travel’s pushy sales tactics they don’t actually provide any service to you. I booked a volunteer trip to Thailand to this past January. Once i arrived i found all my reservations were canceled. I called many times with no answer. At this point i was in a panic as this was the first time i had ever travelled alone. Once i had finally received a call back the lady was EXTREMELY rude. I was told there was nothing they could do and the lady actually told me that it was my problem........... I have no clue what the purpose of paying them was. Save yourself the stress and money and book it yourself. As a response to their response: They reimbursed me for the cheaper hostel I stayed at, NOT the nice hotel i was intended to stay at and gifted me a $50 gift certificate to Amazon US that i couldn’t use because I’m Canadian. As for your emergency line “doing everything in their power” they did not lift a finger. I had to rectify things on my own.

Negative experience: Whatever you do, do not book anything through this company. The biggest scam of a company out there. They rip you off, make fake promises and are charge extortionately. They use sales tactics and scripts to lure in customers by promising them jobs abroad and a dream trip. This couldn't be further from the truth. They will simply arrange your airfare (at a higher than market price) and cut ties with you when you land in your destination. I don't know how anyone leaves them positive reviews (besides their employees who are encouraged to do so) this company are nothing more than con artists. Whatever you do - stay away!

Negative experience: I signed up for more information and 3 days later blocked them as I received numerous calls, emails and texts a day. Obviously very desperate and appeared to be a scam.

Fantastic experience: Amazing and helpful people. They respond quickly and helped me out in times of uncertainty and with any issues that arose. They provided amazing support and it was nice to have a point of contact with expert knowledge of the country while traveling so I wasn't trying to figure it all out on my own.

Negative experience: At first I thought Global was a scam but decided to follow through and go on a working holiday to Australia. Their HQ there is actually very professional. Unfortunately their organizational and communication skills are lacking. After being in Australia for over 2 weeks without a job, I had to find my own accommodation as the first four nights only are covered by Global. During the process of finding me work, I specifically told them I would like work in hospitality as I have a strong background bartending. Only 1 of the 4 opportunities they found for me involved what I actually asked, it’s like they didn’t really listen. The job was also very far away from where I was located so I had to buy a plane ticket to get there. None of which was covered by Global itself. In the end I came back to Canada after the third week. Overall, the communication really sucked. They really just try to suck the money out of you when it comes to flights/insurance/expense. Would not recommend, either go on a working holiday on your own or use another company.

They have helped me with everything, being super supportive with any doubts or worries that I have had along the way. I have had a particularly great experience getting to know Anna Avery as my arrivals coordinator, she has been amazing and made me feel so comfortable and confident in my decision to do this trip! 10/10 would recommend this company!!

Very helpful with getting over here and letting me know all the information and how to sort out everything. I was skeptical of the company at first but once I got here and sorted things out it was really good :) totally worth the money and no regrets!!

Positive experience: I have just arrived for my Canadian experience with Global. So far they have been very helpful. I signed up a year ago and was meant to come last year but couldnt make it and it was super easy to hold the trip off. They got me a job super easy the first time. But this second time, there were less job opportunities and it was harder.

Fantastic experience: The whole team was very helpful and organised when I arrived in Vancouver and made me feel very welcome. The travel was all smooth sailing and there was no dramas. All the coordinators were very helpful throughout the process and my coordinator Sam has kept me up to date with everything going on.

Negative experience: This experience was really rushed and forced to make a quick sale. Alot of information was very misleading. Everything was overcharged. If you are looking for an experience I highly urge you to do your homework yourself. It will save you so much time and money. Looking back now I could have done 2 big travels with what I spent on just 1, that didnt even work out when getting to my destination. I'm even being charged by this company to change my flight with the same airline.... Plus the quotes of flights you will get through this organization are far more expe sive then booking your own. Its ridiculous. If I hadn't been so rushed through this company to book and pay and tried mapping out my own travels I would not be out hundreds and hundreds of dollars. My agent also told me she would touch base with me when I arrived. It's been over a week and I just got an email from her, and not helpful at all. I'm at the point where I dont care to get a dime back. I'm just glad to be done with this.

Even when I've had complications they have been very patient and helped me with all my queries, and assisted rearranging my plans where needed. Looking forward to working with them through my overseas working experience.

Positive experience: Orientation had a lot of info and Bree was great! There's a lot more of Canada i want to see and I didn't even realise how much I wanted to see until orientation.

Negative experience: This company is unreliable and does not know what they are talking about. I booked a trip with them to go to London in three months and after I paid them they didn't contact me for three weeks. When they finally contacted me back, they told me that the sales rep had made a mistake and they couldn't sponsor my visa because I am a US citizen looking to go to the UK. I knew from my own research that it was difficult to go to the UK as a US citizen and asked the sales rep about this at least three times and he insisted that there was no issue. They completely messed up all of my plans. I wouldn't trust them again. If I could give zero stars I would!

Fantastic experience: Global Work & Travel Co, Made life so much easier with helping out doing the working Visa online, they made applying for different jobs a lot easier which was a relief. My two trip coordinator's have been a fantastic help. I appreciated all the help and tips they've suggested to me, overall they have been a big help on my first journey overseas solo! Would highly recommend Global to any traveler's going overseas for a working holiday experience.

Negative experience: Very manipulative in trying to get sales. While they were helpful in the beginning of the trip, they didn’t listen to my concerns or offer any help with new job placements. My coordinator changed 4 times and never even spoke to 2 of them. If I was to do it again I would save my money and just do it all my self. I’ve already gotten myself 2 new jobs without their help. Don’t recommend to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Extremely helpful throughout my experience so far. Very informative with a bunch of information I would've forgotten about or not have thought to ask questions about. Staff are all super friendly and are travelers themselves so are quick to offer great suggestions/spots that they have also experienced first-hand. I have only been here for a day or so and already feel welcome, I know I would not have felt this content or safe if I chose to do it all alone. Thanks Global!
