Positive experience: Was involved in an accident tonight 6:15pm was quoted 1 hour at around 7:00pm which was great 8:20pm then turned to 9:00pm now updated to 9:22pm. Please tell me how you prioritize your roadside assistance when someone is involved in an accident and needs assistance to in turn be told there's others ahead of you that are locked out of their car. You would think an accident takes precedent in that circumstance. Alittle frustration as it's late and I just want to be at home not stuck in a car waiting 3 hours for towing.

Fantastic experience: Kaileigh, the young lady that helped my wife and I to get our passport photos was very courteous,polite and made our encounter a very pleasant experience. She asked all the right questions from start to finish to successfully conclude our transaction.
Negative experience: SUCH A SCAM WAITED 3 hours for a towing to tell me I wasn’t covered then ripped me off 400$ for a towing , total waste of money please beware!

Negative experience: This business continues to hound us to renew, at least two months past expiry, by phone, email and Canada Post. Our email to ask that they respect our choice to not renew is answered by a form response indicating that it could be three business days before they will get back to us. Our decades of membership has run its course, and we can find nothing of value in their service, maintained at a not so insignificant annual cost. The enticement that is offered to renew, if we could be enticed to do so, is a minor discount contingent on signing up for automatic renewal - that arrangement seems mostly in their favour, rather than ours, and in any case is not a offer exclusive to lapsed renewals.

Fantastic experience: I recently booked a family trip to the Netherlands and Belgium at the CAA location in Orleans. I was fortunate to be assigned to Eric Rodrigue as my Travel Consultant. Eric was extremely professional and cheerful in our in-person meetings, and very prompt and thorough in his email communication. Through his research, he saved us a great deal of money by locating quad hotel rooms in each of the locations we had planned to stay, rather than our family of four having to take separate rooms. He also went above and beyond the call of duty by contacting Air Canada on my behalf to sort out a problem with my Aeroplan account and to confirm some information I had been asking about a feature of my new travel credit card. He also provided great information and a video to help us get the most out of our rail passes. I was very impressed with Eric and would recommend him without hesitation and look forward to working with him again in the future.

Negative experience: Wondering what I can expect for my membership for travel. Reservation made by agent was costing me 170$ more than if I made reservation myself. Charged over 50$ to cancel.

Fantastic experience: Went in to the 10th line location in Orleans 25 minutes prior to closing to see if we could have a passport photo done. The young lady at reception greeted us and cheerfully took our photos. So quick, efficient, and friendly. Since we are CAA members it was complimentary! Can’t beat that! It was a great experience!

Negative experience: I purchased CAA for emergencies. What a mistake. Imagine you are back from vacation with your kids and fond out the the battery is dead. Called CAA, they never showed up. Called agin, CAA said the service man was there and could not find you!!!! The service man decided not to showup, the call center did not care to call me an give an update I ended up getting a charger from airport. I called them to get an update since this was an emergency for me not for CAA. Here is the problem when you pay in advance. The already have your money so why bother to show up??!! I am going to get my money back

Negative experience: I renewed my own caa membership and purchased one for my son and daughter-in-law before Christmas. I would just like to say how very helpful and friendly the travel consultant, Robin Grohs was. I would definitely recommend CAA. Thank you Robin and Happy New Year.

Fantastic experience: All the staff are very pleasant to work with. We booked our all-inclusive honeymoon down in Cancun with Sharon - she informed us of everything needed to ensure a smooth trip (travel insurance, connecting vs direct flights, shuttle transfers, food, etc.)!

Negative experience: CAA hides behind a "not-for-profit" status while spamming out shady promotional materials and overcharging account for months. Then refuse to confirm cancellation for months, while continuing to bill. Once billing finally cancelled, they refuse to refund the charges they kept charging while delaying account cancellation. 0 stars would be more appropriate

Negative experience: My wife and I are CAA members and made an appointment to book an all inclusive trips to Cuba. We were given the price over the phone and when we met with the CAA travel agent we were told there was an extra $150 booking fee. We asked why and weren’t satisfied withe the answer. We left and booked directly with Sunwing…no $150 booking fee. Needless to say we are disappointed and question why we would use CAA for travel.

Negative experience: No one answers the phone. Wait and wait and wait then get hung up on!!!
Positive experience: Awful customer service. Got my IDP but they would not do my husband's though we told the agent helping us that we need both and we gave her both our drivers' licenses. She may have misheard but why would we both give her our licences? Then another agent came and told us that she closes at 5, and wouldn't help us further; that we needed to come back. We were the only customers in there, another agent could have helped us we were in there before 5 and if they couldn't help both of us why start? I do not recommend, go ANYWHERE else. **Edit** an agent reached out and tried to rectify the situation and showed genuine concern over what happened. I appreciate the call and it shows that a couple of agents or one location don't represent the whole company.

Positive experience: I love CAA and the services provided. Everything from road assistance to getting maps, trip planning tools, and travel accessories and luggage. Your membership also gives you discounts on various services, stores, and products. Check out the CAA travel deals as you never know what you will find. Why a 3-star rating? Recently, I had a question about getting a passport photo taken. Step 1: Searched online for my passport question and it seemed like the only way to get a passport photo taken was to book an appointment with an agent, but no walk in service. This is what I wanted to ask someone about. Step 2: I called the CAA Orleans location, I was put on hold and after 30 minutes I hung up. Step 3: I called again, and this time used their call back service so I would not wait. After no call back, I still didn't have my supposed quick question answered. Step 4: Used their online chat service. After being on hold for 30 minutes again, my line disconnected. Step 5: Online chat service used again. This time I hung up after waiting for one hour. Step 6: Drove to the CAA location to ask my question. Upon arrival, their front information desk is no longer there with a person to answer any questions. There was a sign on the counter stating that one had to book an appointment online. Ughhh! This is ridiculous. I left the CAA store frustrated. I thought then that I guess an appointment had to be booked. The earliest appointment was in 4 days. Horrible! I had a quick question to ask. If I had needed a question answered quickly or my passport photo done right away, this I learned was not going to happen. Thank goodness nothing was urgent. Four days later I got a call back from an agent. Really 4 days? What the heck! I had forgotten that I had even done this. I don't know when they closed their front information desk or their online services changed, but I am not impressed. Apparently, one only has to book an appointment for something such as booking travel as this may take a while. No appointment is necessary to drop in and ask a question, get a map or even have your passport photo taken. At the store location (Orleans, ON.), the first desk on the left is the person in charge of membership services. One waits until the employee is available, and then you are next. Best time to go is 3 - 4:30, a slower part of the day. Problem? This is not communicated to us being the clients. I didn't know any of this, and left the store. Hopefully, I have saved others some time and frustration with what I have experienced.

Negative experience: This is the worse customer service I have ever experience. Nobody picked up the phone to answer a simple question, I waited over 2 hours. Finally decided to go in person and I was greeted with even worse attitude by the employees, only to find out that I wasted my time coming to the location to get my child’s passport photo because the discount didn’t apply for her age ! If someone would have answered the phone it would have saved me time and all this trouble. This was such an inconvenience.
Positive experience: CAA store had very little travel wear to choose from. Drove an hour to get there and was disappointed in the selection.

Fantastic experience: They are crazy busy so had to wait and then a line formed after me so got lucky with the timing. Seem like they are under staffed but friendly and positive attitude regardless. Got an international driving permit and photos here and their store has some nice travel items.

Negative experience: Worst customer service I've ever experienced. 30 minutes waiting after signing up to be served and was not even acknowledged by next available assistant who went and helped another agent for 10 more minutes. Got fed up and left. Only wanted to buy some towel clips. Usually good service but complete failure today.

Fantastic experience: CAA is the place that every driver needs. Despite the fact I just got myself a relatively newer SUV, that is reliable and sound, I did not feel safe driving without my CAA after I let my membership lapse. I stopped close to closing time, and I was greeted and politely was asked to wait. Before long my inquiry was dealt with. I was offered a special on a plus membership for under $10 a month, and was glad to get it. I felt bad keeping the young lady past her closing time, and told her I appreciated her taking the time with no rush to serve me. Now I can be motoring with a peace of mind, I got CAA to back me up!
