Fantastic experience: Came up from Saskatchewan for trip. We did the dog sledding, tried the slide, sat by the fire and watched some auroras. Great time had by all!

Positive experience: ４日間滞在のうち、初日と最後の日にオーロラを見ることができました❗ 特に初日はスタッフの人も３本の指にはいるというほどの素晴らしいオーロラを見ることができ、25ドルの延長料金を払って、３時までいました。 ２日目は最後に一瞬だけ、３日目は全く見れませんでしたが、見えない日もあるからこそオーロラの奇跡が実感できました。 昼は犬ぞりツアーやスノーシューツアーがありました。日本で申し込んだら別日にしか予約できなかったけど、現地で頼むと、同じ日に二つともやることが可能で、日本で申し込むより割安だったと一緒に行った人が話していました。 合間にやったアイス滑り台が実はイチオシでした❗

Negative experience: ここに口コミ出された方々はかなり運が良いです。実際のオーロラは肉眼で色が見える事は殆どありません。そこに雲？煙？どこ?ってカンジ。 こちらのスタッフの方が、オーロラってそんなモンです。と仰いました。それで5段階評価の2くらいで、私が言った日はここ3週間で一番良かったそう。スタッフさんが仰った言葉をそのまま書いてます。 同じティーピー(テント)にプロのカメラマンの友達がいる方がいらして、写真を拝見したら何色も鮮やかで素晴らしく、爆発？広告レベルの。でもその方も50日滞在してその日だけだったそうです。これが実際にオーロラの場所に行かないと聞けない現実でした。 まぁ肉眼で観られなくても緑の綺麗な写真は撮れましたし、テント内のおしゃべりも楽しかったです。皆さん有難うございました。 ただ、私がここで書いている情報(白い雲のような物が微か)、これ誰かが事前に教えてくれてたなら、私は絶対に行きませんでした。 白い雲のようなモノを観に、40万の出費。あーあ。

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience! Beautiful location and unforgettable view. Kayley the booking coordinator was super patient with our requests.

Positive experience: Beautiful property! They pick up and drop you off from one of 5 hotels. I booked them for a one night tour and that was more than enough for me. On the bus, they have a pre-recorded monotoned message playing letting you know that Aurora is unpredictable. I understand the reason for the message but our bus's sound system had horrible feedback like they couldn't turn off the mic. It felt a little "brainwashy" to me. When you arrive by bus, they give you the rundown of the place; where you can go, the hills, bathrooms, gift shop, etc. They have an extra charge per professional photo ($25, I believe). Other tours have photos included. Once the speech is over, your left to wonder their property for 4 hours while waiting for the Aurora to show up, if it does at all that night. You feel alone and sort of abandoned. Bathrooms were exceptionally nice considering they are outhouses. The property is absolutely stunning. The teepees are heated with a wood burning stove and an attendant comes around to add more wood from time to time. Again, beautiful property but the probably of seeing the Aurora are enhanced with a mobile tour. I wouldn't go again nor would I recommend.

Fantastic experience: Aurora Village의 Aurora Viewing은 도로 위를 달리는 차량의 불빛과 소음으로부터 방해를 받지 않는 곳에 위치하고 있어 더할 나위 없이 좋은 환경이었습니다. 그러나, 배정받은 Teepee는 '한국인 전용 티피이니 다른 티피로 들어가면 안된다'는 한국인 가이드로부터 들은 지침과는 달리 예고없이 등장한 다른 아시아계 가이드와 그 일행분들의 출현으로 당황스럽고 불편했습니다. 이 부분은 오피스측의 관심이 필요해 보입니다. 회사 사무실에 전화 후 예약없이 찾아갔음에도 불구하고 겸손한 말투와 부드러운 미소로 응대해주신 한국인 직원분께 고마움을 전합니다.

Fantastic experience: オーロラビレッジのオフィス。イエローナイフのオーロラツアーをメインに扱っている。日本からのツアーの多くはイエローナイフ空港に降り立ってからの移動・観光をここにほぼ丸投げ。現地資本だが、日本人チームがワーホリを使った若者中心に充実しており責任者も日本人とのこと。日本からのツアーの動きをほぼ掌握しているので困ったことがあればここに駆け込むことをお勧め。イエローナイフまで自力で来れる人はここにオーロラツアーを申し込めば安上がりだし、確実。

Fantastic experience: 8.30～9.02まで４回訪れて、1回がオーロラ爆発並み、2回が「一応見れて良かったね」レベル、1回が「曇天で見えずテント内で暖かい飲み物飲んでおしゃべり」レベルでした。 オーロラ爆発が来ると本当に凄い❗感動ものです。

Negative experience: This is Asian owned and no ownership from a real Indigenous Canadian local as they advertise. The art and items sold are made in China!! Theyrepresents themselves as authentic and Indigenous and NO ONE spoke english in the welcome area??!!. There is 1 guy that worked there that was Indigenous I was told but we never seen him and hes apparently a teenager that worked with the dogs. The owners capitalized on the huts, events and tours misrepresenting themselves as they are not even Canadian!! We paid for our group expecting to see real northern culture as many of us are Indigenous Canadians and we left disgusted with the lies. We paid extra to sit in a heated chair and it was so commercialized and poorly run. The staff didn't speak English except for 2-3 tour people as they cater to Asian tourists. Don't waste your money, this is horrible

Negative experience: I did the Aurora village Tour and it was such a greedy money grab and huge let down. After you had paid $$$ for the tour they had all these extra things they wanted you to pay for. As soon as you got on the tour bus they started telling you about all these extra fees. They only cared about money and not at all about the customers and their experience - they acted like they were doing you a favour by having you there, and advertised things as part of the tour that were not done, but you had still paid for it. They were terrible. I was so surprised and upset and disappointed as I have always wanted to visit Yellowknife and do their tour. I would not recommend it to anyone. I’ve done other tours with another Yellowknife company who are absolutely amazing and the total opposite of these guys and show you how bad these guys really are. I’m not impressed at all.

Fantastic experience: A big thank you for organizing his tour in such a lovely manner. We had an awesome time here. Everything was perfect. Starting from the guides , explaining everything during our Aurora Viewing to our Airport pick ups and drop offs. We had a lot of fun during our day time activities too. All of you were so responsive and answered each of our questions in a timely and professional manner. Keep doing the good work . We are very very happy abd we will definitely recommend you guys to our friends and family. All the best.

Positive experience: 參加過年期間Aurora tour四天三夜，園區內有提供熱飲和暖爐 可以自行帶食物，那裡有付費的簡易食物和腳架租借 導遊很盡責 不會有丟包的情況發生，整體算很棒的體驗 建議一定要提早半年預訂，回覆mail的客服非常的慢

Negative experience: The whole experience felt like a complete cash grab. The village looks great, don't get me wrong. But everything else is just disappointing. First, it's too close to the city, so if Aurora is moderate, you won't be able to see anything. It was our case, so we just had to sit in our tent and wait. The tour is very expensive, but they still charge you for everything possible. All snacks are ridiculously overpriced. The photo is $25. The tour description included photography tips and tricks, but no master class existed. The cancellation policy is a total scam. After we figured out, that there was no chance to catch Aurora there, we decided not to waste our second day there, but there's no refund available. We booked another tour with The Aurora Borealis Experience, I highly recommend them if you want to see the incredible aurora and be treated like a guest and not a cash cow.

Fantastic experience: まだ一日行っただけですが最高のが見えました。今日明日あと二回と明日の犬ぞりが楽しみです。 昨夜の第一回の経験から、今日は 眼鏡をやめてコンタクトレンズにします。汗や自分の息などで直ぐに凍りつきました。 カメラの焦点、ピント、iso感度、シャッター速度など 素手になると30秒くらいでアウトです。galaxy s23 ultraですが、-35℃ではなかなか立ち上がらないこともありました。今夜は、ポケットと靴にカイロを入れ、真冬登山用のモンベルのoutdry手袋+薄い手袋。なるべく素手にならず、カメラを冷やさない作戦。三脚のプラスチック部分が寒さの為？破損したので応急処置しました。初めての寒さで風が無くても色々大変です。これで風が吹いたらどうなることやら。

Negative experience: Ok so the trip was great but there were some headaches for sure. We rented clothes but then had someone wake us up at 2am looking for us to return them. Then our hotel kicked us at at 11am but our shuttle was scheduled for 4pm, so we ended up having to take a taxi to the airport. I tried calling but the people who are supposed to help only made it worse.

Fantastic experience: Excelente atención del personal, muy buena organización, la ropa de Renta es de excelente calidad. Y muy recomendable si no quieres pasar frío. Todo el personal es muy amable. Autobús cómodo y con calefacción. El lugar de avistamiento de auroras esta como a 20 min de la ciudad. Los tips con mesas, sillas, estufa de leña, cafe y chocolate caliente incluidos. Tienes que reservar mínimo 3 días. El primer dia solo nos tocó una tremenda nevada, muy divertido, el segundo dia fue increíble. Recomiendo 100% gracias a todo el personal por esforzarse 1000% por sus clientes.

Negative experience: I can’t give it a 0 so I’m giving it a 1. It truly is a tourist trap. We booked a 1 night Aurora tour which we had to walk to the pick up point (in -30) as they would not stray from their schedule. We were put onto a freezing cold bus with broken windows and cold floors. Once at the village, the workers insinuated that we wouldnt even see the lights that night after taking our money and taking us out into the middle of nowhere with no way home. We went into our tipi which hosts about 16 people each with a small fire. The door is constantly open and therefore, it was never warm. We went to the dining hall for some warmth and were disappointed with no food or drinks unless paid (excluding maple tea?). Pringles and noodle cups aren’t food and shouldn’t be $5. We then were invited to the ice show which is a “secret”. Let me tell you, if you understand how things freeze when it’s cold, don’t bother. They showed us frozen underwear and ramen? Can’t believe we spend $150 CAN to watch that. We then napped in a room due to the snow storm outside and waited to freeze on the bus home which would not leave earlier than 12:50. A waste of a night, a waste of money and really destroyed our first night in Yellowknife. Hire a car and drive the easily accessible roads yourself that are highly populated. That’s when we finally saw the Aurora. When asked the next day if we could get a discount for an extra night, they said no. It’s a money grab and they are constantly upselling you.

Negative experience: 最低最悪です。星を一つもつけたくありませんが仕方ない。 友人と行くはずでしたが、その友人が2日間飛行機がキャンセルになり1日も参加出来ませんでした。オフィスに行ったのにも関わらず、不誠実な対応で、返金ほぼなし、約８万円ほど無駄にしました。納得いかず、オフィスに電話しましたが、その電話対応も最悪。人の心を持っていないような女の人による電話対応。話が全く通じない人でした。(言語的なものではありません) 他のツアー会社でオーロラレーダーを使って移動しながら客にサービスをするツアーもあるみたいです。サービス、ツアー全て最悪なので、別のツアーに申し込むことをオススメします。 このツアー会社のせいで、折角の旅行が台無しになりました。何もしなかったのに、私はいったい何にお金を払ったのか教えていただきたいです。

Fantastic experience: 2023/11/26現在、オーロラ鑑賞のツアーの送迎の対象のホテルは、Quality Inn、Discovery Inn、Nova Inn、The Explorer hotel、Chateau Novaのようです。 上記ホテルに宿泊していない場合で、ツアーに参加する場合は、自分の宿泊先から近い上記ホテルで送迎を受けることになるようです。

Negative experience: Hi I’d like to let you know that I’ve booked the Aurora viewing online at least 4days ago and personally call to Aurora village. One Taiwanese girl answer my phone. She tells me that she will arrange my tour via email But I’ve been waiting and waiting and no response at all. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: Terrible service. If you want to walk in the middle of the night (3 am) then book with them, because they dont provide pickup & drop facility from your Hotel / B&B unless you stay in one of their listed select few locations. I booked with them online, I was okay to walk at 10 am before the tour but I didnt want to walk all by myself in the middle of the night in completely new town and they did not have a courtesy to drop me which would've taken not more than 3 mins drive. I give them 1 star to at least let me cancel & refund 90% since I cancelled 48 hours before. I would NOT recommend them. Their owner/manager does not even sit in Yellowknife. Runs this like a pure business with LOADS of marketing to attract customers online but when you land in YK its different. Instead use any of the other great services for aurora hunting/cabin/tipi tours - to name a few that I used: NorthStar Adventures, My Backyard Tours, Yellowknife tours

Fantastic experience: We booked 3 days package in September 2022 with Aurira village. The package included accomodation at the hotel + visits every night to Aurora Village + shuttle to / the airport.They were very well organized, someone was waiting for us at Yellowknife airport at our arrival and took us to the hotel, explained a bit about Yellowknife city. Every night the bus would come one time with the guide and take us to the Aurora Village where we were assigned a teepee and the store on site (at the Aurora Village) had a lot of gear and supplies available like tripods. We had an option to stay an extended period every night depending on auroral activity until 3am. I recommend Aurora Village to Northern Lights enthusiasts.

Fantastic experience: The weather was awesome. Lots fun activities: dog sledding, tubing, snow shoeing. The tour guides were very friendly and quite knowledgeable…

Fantastic experience: We had so much fun today with Dog Sledding! Kudos to our very friendly tour guides Jo and Taka, they make sure we are enjoying our time while waiting for our turn on the sled rides. Today was a busy day and a little warmer they said for the dogs, so they tend to run slower, which makes waiting longer, but it’s all good because there are lots of other activities to do while waiting. There is tubing which was really fun. Lots of photo opps outside and inside the warm teepees, a moose antler hanging on a tree, got to try traditional snow shoes, and just the scenery itself was amazing! There’s never a dull moment around other tourists who were nice and jokes around and very nice sitting around the fire roasting marshmallows which the tour provides all of these including hot beverages inside the warming teepees. Our dog musher Chase is also a friendly person, and there were staff who assists in getting us in and out of the sleds. Everything was very good experience. Excited for our first night of Aurora hunting tomorrow.I highly recommend this tour company for their service. Great staff all!Thank you for giving us a great time!

He was extremely knowledgeable about the property, super conscientious, attentive to individual needs. He went above and beyond to make our trip special! Positive experience: Well the experience of aurora is always one of a kind. It's hard to take picture of it but you can always play in your camera settings. YOU NEED A TRIPOD to take great photo. The tour guides are very friendly and nice. The hot choco in the tent is awesome! The photographer is not so nice and won't tell instruction. if you want to take professional grade pic with aurora.( quite understandable as the aurora changes and might be gone after a couple of mins) So just stay still and smile. The whole experience is way better in person and aurora is more beautiful to see in person too.

Fantastic experience: Do not expect to see a Northern light every night. I found out that Best season for Aurora is January. But you can not complain about that. Instead of Aurora, you can have very good air, lots of stars, and very tasty foods. I love this place!!!

Fantastic experience: 자유여행 하시는 분들 스트리트뷰 먼저 확인하세요. 여기는 빌리지 사무실이고 관측 가능한 오로라빌리지는 23km떨어진 저 위쪽에 있어요. 처음에 걸어 가려다 나중에 확인하고 놀라서 당일 투어 예약했어요. 미리 준비 안 한 본인 잘못이지만ㅎ 한국인 가이드님들 계셔서 덕분에 설명 잘 듣고 티피에서 같이 얘기해가지고 더 재밌었어요. 시간이 지나도 이런 경이로운 장면을 같이 봤던 사람들이 어딘가에 있다는 것 만으로도 추억이 되여. 가면 뜨거운 물 있으니 먹을거 챙겨가세요. 전투식량이나 컵라면 추천. 배 많이 고플걸ㅎ

Positive experience: So many activities to entertain guests, from snow slides to dog sledding.

Fantastic experience: I did the 3 night aurora viewing tour with winter rentals between Feb 28-Mar 1 (leap year). Contacted them directly, and they were able to answer all of my questions. You have to fill out a form with all your details (dates, flight number, hotel, clothing size, etc) to book, but it makes sense when you consider how amazingly organized and punctual they were. I went to the head office to pick up my clothes, and the man who answered the door knew my name. He let me try it on before I headed out. The first night, my group had Cristiano (Chris) as our tour guide. His enthusiasm and passion about the aurora really lifted up the group. He takes photography very seriously and helped everyone with their settings to ensure they could get their best shot. I ended up hanging around him quite a bit as a solo traveler. He participated in the ice show which is a little experiment to show how quickly everything freezes. They have this in different languages each night. The first night wasn't that great as it was cloudy. The lights were out, but you couldn't really see anything. Second night, we had Cecile, very sweet lady. The sky was amazingly clear, and we were told it should be a great night because of a sun storm. The lights came in levels. Started with a vague sweep of white. Then a bit later, more visible above the lake, but still, not much. Got much stronger a bit later. But just when we thought we got to see it all, the full show came out later. The whole sky lit up, it was bright and colourful, and it was moving so quickly. It really is a spectacular site that everyone should see. Pictures doesn't do it justice. Third night, cloudy with lots of snow, so no luck. If you decide to come, please get at least 3 nights. There are many 1 or 2 day travelers who don't see anything. The more nights, the better chances. They can't control the weather, they can only hope for the best. The tour guides truly want you to see and experience it. Also, if you don't have rentals, please dress as warm as you could. I was wearing gloves and mittens, and my hands still got cold after a few minutes. Also, if you can figure out a way to wear a face mask and avoid your glasses from fogging, please do. You will feel ice crystals forming in your nose after 15 seconds on the coldest days, but if you wear something over your nose, your glasses will fog and freeze. You will not be able to see anything even if you try to wipe it. Anywho, I would certainly recommend Aurora Village. It's great that they pick you up and take you out of the city. The staff are friendly and passionate, and the teepees are big and warm. In response to another person's reply, yes there are a lot of up-sales. I was a smidge disappointed as well, as I thought pictures were included. If you want a professional picture, want to stay past 1pm, want heated seats, or want souvenirs, you would have to pay more. I didn't buy anything else during my tour, but still had a great time. I came just to see the lights, and I'm happy I got to see it at least once during my tour.

Fantastic experience: What an incredible experience! Not only we could see a majestic northern lights but also this tour company took us to a perfect spot where we saw the Aurora! Plus, they have heated sits that it moves around 360°. We fall asleep in our sits while waiting. Our guide was a lovely lady and the whole compound was great. Thank you!

Negative experience: 日本人ばかりです。 またオーロラ鑑賞の延長にはお金がかかります。 スタッフは説明書を読む若いバイトの日本人で英語は通じません。 行きのバスでも帰りのバスでもオーロラに関する説明などは一切なく、延長料金のことと服の返却のことを永遠と繰り返します。 自然現象を見ようとしているのに、風情はありません。 高齢で旅行への不安が強い方には良いかもしれませんが旅を楽しみたい人には非常に不向きです。

Positive experience: It was organized well, as in the logistics of huddling the group into a tepee- that seems to be their job, and not to give customers an experience of a lifetime. I had expected the guide to say something about what to expect in the aurora, what to look out for esp for first-timers. There was no feeling of excitement on our 30-min ride to the village, and not even a brief mention of the aurora experience at all. Maybe it was because the guide knew that we weren’t going to see the aurora that night? I was disappointed not because we didn’t see the aurora but because of the impersonal service of the guide.

Positive experience: We (group of 4) joined 3 nights aurora viewing tour between Sep 26th and 29th. We were happy with their service and professionalism. It was a good way of seeing aurora for the people trying first time. I will recommend Aurora Village to any of my friend.

Negative experience: The dining experience at the dining hall there was terrible. Endless waiting between courses. Everyone was waiting for nothing.

Positive experience: 한국인 스탭 분들이 있어서 예약 변경 처리를 편하게 했다. 대체적으로 다들 친절하시고, 액티비티 관련 다양한 정보를 얻을 수 있다.

Fantastic experience: 之前去冰島時候 沒看到極光 這次 剛好在背包客 找到旅伴 一起參加Aurora Village 真的沒讓我失望 來黃刀鎮完五天 五天都看的到極光 而且還大爆發 極光還會跳舞 穿著雪衣 躺在地上看極光 真的很浪漫 覺得我人生很多采多姿 裡面有中文導遊 他們很認真講解 來回都有專車接送 到達帳篷 可以先心去喝熱飲 暖暖身體 等待極光出現 黃刀鎮 極光 出線機率真的非常高 看了五天極光 還有參加他們的狗拉雪橇 釣魚 還有用雪堆成的溜滑梯 真的好好玩 他們廁所因為環保關係 所以無法沖水 但是每天都有人打掃 所以放心 真的很乾淨的 餐廳的話可以體驗一下 也不錯 然後還有賣一些紀念品 以後也會找朋友一起去參加Aurora Village 讓我再度見到極光

Positive experience: Everything is well organized. The problem is that if your flight gets canceled or rerouted you are not available to get a refund. Our advice is wait until you get there to rent all your equipment and tours. We got canceled flights twice. No refunds on excursions or hotel nor equipment. They have plenty of equipment and jackets they will not runout. Just get there first!

Fantastic experience: The Customer Service is great! I loved my dog sledding Experience I had with my mom last year.

Positive experience: We did the Aurora and Dog sledding tour. The venue is gorgeous and has lots of activities to do when waiting for the main event. However that's where my praise stops. It's obvious this company is going for volume of people and it feels that way. On the night we did the aurora the dining hall was closed as well as many little walking trails. There was no compensation or Even a sorry for this. We unfortunately had a cloudy night(not there fault at all) but they still kept asking us to extend our time for an extra fee. I feel if you see nothing that should be a complementary option. Our dog tour was well run and the dogs were gorgeous but again you were a number being pumped through the system. It lacks personal touches, customer service and the history of the natives. I'm sure there is a lot of interesting stories that could be told both about dog sledding and the aurora. I wouldn't go back to them but the site was pretty

Fantastic experience: Great service, absolutely beautiful location. My boyfriend and I went dog sledding and we loved it. While you're waiting for your turn on the dog sled, there's a marshmallow roast, a restaurant and snow tubing to keep you occupied. We had so much fun here and we got some beautiful photos!! Thank you, Aurora Village, we will be back some day for sure!
