Fantastic experience: I just sign up for my first CAA card .I been in the towing industry for close to 7 years and have dealt with customers with basic ,plus and premium cards .all positive reviews and extremely helpful especially for lock out service and towing .
Positive experience: Had a claim to file after another driver backed out of a driveway into my parked car, and when I called the 800 number I was instructed to hang up and file online if it wasn't serious, which it wasn't serious. That was fine, the online part was good and I was told an adjuster would get a hold of me within 1 business day but it took a full week for a return call. She did apologize for the wait, and I understand it can be busy but don't tell me it will be 1 day instead of 5. I was thinking something was wrong and the online bit didn't work and I was waiting for nothing. Happy with the agent's work though and we will see how the rest all turns out.
Positive experience: 1. Booked our Disney tour through CAA. 2. Not much experience dealing with Asian and vegetarian needs. We ended up going with the recommendations and wasting 30% of our meal plan as there were not much Asian vegetarian option.(plain rice and half cooked big chunk of vegetables are what you get in quick meal) table service options fills fast so better to use uber eats and get delivery to the hotel. Dinner plan are rigid and non refundable. 3. Good and quick response on email. 4. Got $100 gift card that went into CAA membership. Also got luggage tags. 5. With flair having direct flight and lot more Asian in the city, can have some recommendations for their needs.

Fantastic experience: Prompt service, excellent customer service by their road side assistance member John, could not have possibly been nicer, more helpful or down to earth. CAA roadside assistance is worth every penny.
Negative experience: Very bad at insurance, great at roadside assistance. When my parked truck had its mirror knocked off by a Canada Post truck they accidentally processed the claim as if I was the postal truck driver (at fault). It still shows on my record as I was at fault and I am having a terrible time having the record corrected to reflect I was the victim. Many calls to correct, I am on hold right now (third transfer today), they just don't know what to do in this insurance realm. Again; very bad at insurance, great at roadside assistance.

Positive experience: As far as the car side of CAA goes, the service is great. I've called them a few times over the years and the rep. has always arrived quickly and fixed the issue. I also have my car insurance and property insurance through CAA. The products are great. However, the issue is when you call regarding either product. It is next to impossible to speak with a competent customer service representative. Usually, I get transferred around at least 3 times before getting to the person who should be able to help me. I cannot believe that CAA hires incompetent people. I am wondering what kind of training they receive. Also, some of the work is contracted to outside companies and there seems to be a communication gap. My insurance almost did not get renewed recently due to miscommunication. In this instance, it was due to NO communication between the person who took my call and the department that needed to be made aware of the changes discussed. I give CAA's customer service a ZERO.
Fantastic experience: Great service, and at 16 bucks a month a great price... They have saved me a couple of times. 50 cents a day for peace of mind while traveling :--)

Negative experience: Locked out of vehicle is a community I don't know and waited 5.5 hours outside until just before midnight someone came. It was cold and dark and I was outside the entire time. I was originally told 1 to 2 hours then later I was told that there is only emergency service after 11:00 pm til 7 am that's when it was scary.

Negative experience: Just tried to make a request for someone to boost my car and help me get unstuck from the snow thats packed down around my car after being idle for a month. All i got was a very unhelpful woman calling me and telling me that CAA, literally the people who are supposed to help you get out of places, wont help me get my car out or boost it because they "may damage" my 2008 ford fusion thats already hit a tree(not me). The only advice i got was to borrow a shovel (I only got to school here, I dont know anyone), and get some salt, and then maybe they will be able to help me. Like what do I pay for a membership for, if I cant even get help when I need it. Feeling very defeated, who do I turn to when the people who are supposed to help me wont?

Positive experience: Jan 6th 2022. During storm I got stuck in snow on Dorchester st st John NB. I called CAA and they come and said they couldn't help me and left me stranded sideways on the street almost blocking what 4x4 traffic that could get thru. They told me they would come back next day 9am. Good thing I had a full tank of gas and a bed if needed in my van. Thankfully loyalist towing come by maybe by request of the police and they winched me out. This was not even attempted by CAA tow truck driver. Thank you loyalist towing and shame on CAA. CAA is going to reimburse me for the loyalist towing charges they said. Have to wait to see if this happens. Other than this bad experience CAA have helped me in the past with keys locked in my van. I understand the storm made it hard for them to do the job but they could of called a towing company that could of done it rather than leaving me stranded a bad situation...

Negative experience: Could not reach an agent by phone. When I went to the office I was told that I would have to wait 4 hours to see the agent. Even the local car dealers have problems contacting a CAA agent.
Negative experience: I just bought a new car, need to add to my current policy, waited on the phone on hold for 40 minutes, no answer. Called back waited another hour on hold , no answer!!! I requested a call back, still waiting!!

Negative experience: There customer care service is absolutely terrible. Waited online for someone to answer for 35 minutes first try & the next day I waited 45 minutes for an agent. Even their recommended glass service provider couldn`t get through after waiting 1 hour online. Guaranteed for clients not to renew insurance.

Negative experience: I attempted to purchae auto insurance online, waited over 30 minutes my first attempt no answer waited over 60 minutes the second time no answer only ever received recording please wait on the line. Decided to go into Westmorland Rd. location to try and to talk with agent, was told he was in a meeting would call me back in an hour, but welcomed to try online, waited over 4 hours, no return call yet. Strange business model.

Fantastic experience: I would like to give a huge shout out to John Mason. He arrived at our house yesterday after we called because our car would not start. He was very professional and had our car working in no time. He carefully explained why it woud not start in language that was very clear. CAA should be proud to have such a great employee!

Positive experience: Good for maps and towing. It also has a vehicle registries, which has always been under staffed and very time consuming. The travel services is good. The insurance is very expensive, I used to be a customer for years, then they jacked their rates.

Negative experience: This is a rant I put on Facebook a short time ago. After going from the west side to pay this bill, this is what I get. I just learned from CAA that you need an APPOINTMENT to pay your insurance ... If not , they put you on a phone to somewhare to someone, ( Maybe in this office ) By the way I had gone to the office on Westmorland Rd.to pay the bill.As I said,I need an appointment to pay you $ 1000.00 ??? .When this nice retail lady handed me the phone ( She was not nasty oer anything ) for me to do this myself.,I hung up the phone and left. And to follow up,all that needed to be done was to pay $ 57.00 for the upgrade to my new car.The policy was already updated & I had my pink card.,That thousand dollers is next month and might just go to another company,I have heard of horrible customer service,but hhis is foolishness.And to finish my rant CAA will be very hard pressed to keep me

Negative experience: CAA Auto Insurance must be the biggest crook within the Canadian insurance industry. First they cancel my van insurance, because they thought of the vehicle was "too big", too heavy" "not used for the purpose it was designed for" and other preposterous ides, but then they keep half of my premium I already paid, without giving any explanation of how they calculated (cheated) me for the refund. STAY AWAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE from these CROOKS.
Fantastic experience: CAA provides too, other than flights-tickets, cruises-planning, also Insurances for visitors as well as for our overseas trips, car insurances etc. Very friendly staff. I realized too, that members - CAA-associates are entitled to a 10 percent discount on meals at certain restaurants.
