Negative experience: Red tag turned my Christmas and new year holiday into nightmare they gave wrong time on my ticket and when I checked prior to my flight I got txt message saying only the boarding gate changed the time on the ticket was 9 am and the flight took off at 7:15 am still I was 6:25 at the airport they kept me waiting till the airplane took off and they refused to refund my money.don’t book with them again.

Positive experience: Prices Are a little high, but some of their customer service is amazing! I connected with Rita Sanduja, the only one that ACTAULLY helped, was very kind, and patient with me the whole step of the way! She gave me a really good price that no other rep from REDTAG was giving, and I could tell she was actually trying to look for good deals for me. Make sure you only speak with her!

Negative experience: 12-03-2024 My best 1/2 booked an all inclusive with Redtag in late November 2024. I checked the pricing on 12-01-2024. The pricing for the vacation had dropped $275 CAD. I was no the CHAT with Allison at Redtag and was advised that difference in price was not refundable. I was advised that Redtag was not the host of the all-inclusive vacation so they could not provide a refund, Hmm. Redtag was more that happy TO TAKE OUR DEPOSIT and I'm sure will have no problem taking our FINAL payment! Guess it's NICE to be in a position when you have ZERO RESPONSIBITY to your customer other than TAKE THEIR $$$$! 12/31/2024 UPDATE: Redtag did contact me and asked from our booking number? I was tardy and it took me a few days to respond with the booking number on 12/11/24. To-date I have not heard anything back from Redtag?

Site confirmed that booking was done, but then agent called saying it didn't go through up-charging $100, refused to allow to speak with the manager, and finally, after an hour of verbal fighting found out a way to find trip at the same price on a different portal... Totally miserable experience. Will not return there ever again...

Negative experience: RedTag (Redlabel Vacation) scam I recently booked a Sunwing vacation on Redtag.ca over $5000, but one of my family members made a mistake on her name. Redtag.ca charged me $28 to correct it. However, when I logged into my Sunwing account, I saw that name changes are supposed to be free. I called RedTag (Redlabel Vacation) to address this, but they refused to help. This feels like a scam to me. There have been numerous complaints about RedTag (Redlabel Vacation) from customers who have experienced issues with their services. Some common complaints include unexpected charges, poor customer service, and difficulties with booking and cancellations

Negative experience: I was booking a family trip with my extended family (siblings + their kids and parents). Since the website did not allow us to book multiple rooms with children on the booking, we had to all book individually. We walked through the process together, filled in our info together and all hit "confirm booking". Only one of the reservations actually went though. The others got an error message saying the flights were no longer available. They had to restart the process and were upcharged $600 for the same flights that were supposedly no longer available. I contacted redtag with more details, as requested in their response to this google review, and was told there was nothing they could do as pricing is controlled by the tour operator. Given this response, I would recommend to anyone that they book directly with the tour operator as redtag offers no advantage or accountability.

Negative experience: Tried to book a vacation package with a group. We weren't able to book all together because it wouldn't allow us to book more than one room with kids on the booking even though we are multiple families. Instead we all tried booking for separate devices at the same time and only one of our party's bookings was accepted on the first go. Everyone else's booking failed, stating that the selected flights were no longer available. When we went back to try to book different flights, the same flights were available but at an additional cost of $600. The booking system is difficult to use, and the pricing changes from one minute to the next.

Negative experience: Air Canada Vacations was notified on September 20th of this occurrence and has still not responded to this matter. Regtag indicates that the contract is between Air Canada Vacations and the resort itself. I have attached responses from both Air Canada, Regtag and the resort in which no one has actually followed up with me! Inquiry Type Post-travel - Hotel stay Inquiry Details I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a serious security issue we experienced during our recent stay at the BlueBay Grande Esmeralda Resort from September 12th to September 15th, 2024. Upon our arrival, we were informed that our room was not available, and we spent some time at the pool. Later that evening, while dining at the Jaal’Ha restaurant, my iPhone went missing from our table. Despite our efforts to locate it, including inquiries with the staff and a report to security, we were unable to recover the phone, although it continues to show a location in Mexico via iCloud. The following day, while having lunch at the same restaurant, we experienced another distressing incident. We placed our beach bag, which contained personal belongings and money, on our table. Upon finishing our meal, we discovered that the bag had been taken. My travel companion sought assistance from the restaurant staff and, after expressing our intention to involve security and police, the bag was returned to us. This incident prompted us to file a complaint with the resort's security, as we felt our personal belongings were not secure. Unfortunately, the situation escalated on our final day. While at the main pool, we became disoriented and lost consciousness. Upon regaining awareness, we found ourselves in a distressing situation involving hotel staff and police. We were arrested and detained until 4:30 AM, during which time $500 USD was taken from us under duress. We were released without our belongings, including money, electronics, and personal items. It is evident that we were victims of a coordinated effort to rob us. The treatment we received from the resort’s security and local authorities was alarming and left us feeling unsafe. We believe that the resort's security cameras hold crucial evidence of these events, and we urge Air Canada Vacations/Red Tag to investigate this matter thoroughly. This experience has deeply affected our well-being and sense of security as travelers. We entrusted Air Canada Vacations and Red Tag with our vacation plans, only to endure a traumatic experience that no traveler should have to face. We implore you to take this matter seriously and ensure the safety of future guests at this resort. Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. We look forward to your prompt response.

Negative experience: Worst service ever! Purchased a vacation package from RedTag/WestJet, paid in April for vacation in June. Westjet cancelled flight back, contacted both WestJet and RedTag, no results, no alternatives offered to return home. Got promise regarding a compensation, was asked to keep all the receipts. Forced to pay for extra nights in the hotel while was looking for flight tickets back, bought new tickets. Submitted a claim after returning home. Got just formal replies and no compensation. This is not the way how normal companies treat clients. Warning to others - avoid these companies! Do not buy from RedTag and WestJet! Both don't care about customers

Negative experience: I tried to book over a 5-day period, a flight Rome-Porto-Lisbon . I kept getting an error message :"We are unable to verify this request". I thought initially their system was slow in updating a sold-out flight, so tried different times. Same problem. It would let me book the economy fare from Rome - Porto though. Eventually I called RedTag. I sent a screenshot of both the error message and then when the agent couldn't find the flights that I provided, sent the screenshot of the flights and fare (the flight times remained the same for 5 days, but the fare kept going up). She still couldn't find it and told me the website was just slow updating availability, offered me an earlier flight which I could not take, for more than $200 higher PP (the fare had gone up an additional $70 PP over that 5-day period). I just went ahead and booked the Rome-Porto on-line myself, which she said was not available at that price. I'm taking the train from Porto-Lisbon. No trust in Redtag customer service at all as a result.

Negative experience: I had originally posted a negative review for Red Tag last year due to a mix up on booking of flight and hotel in different calendar years and although the initial discussions didn’t start out well when I was finally connected to a manager the issues was addressed to my satisfaction and the vacation was booked appropriately. I, however, still would not recommend ever using this service again as I have again encountered an issue that quite frankly has left me incredibly unsatisfied with Red Tag’s customer service. My wife has a career tied to public school calendars and there was an amendment made to the start date of the 2024-25 school year that necessitated the need to move our current vacation plans earlier a week. I submitted a request with the same manager I was dealing with regarding the last issue asking if they could help me with the change to flight and hotel in beginning of February and had a response within days of the cost to change flights (as expected) to which I responded in email that I would like to go ahead and asked for the best way to pay for the change (CC over the phone etc). This was the last I heard from this individual. What followed was a series six emails and phone calls to this manager asking to go ahead with the change. Each call I left a voicemail asking for call back to my cell phone. Some of my emails asking for an update were specific in asking if there was another way or person I could talk to to get this moved forward again with no responses. After a month of attempting to connect with this same manager it occurred to me that perhaps this person was no longer with the organization and proceeded to call into the general help line and was told that they in fact were still an employee and they would be notified of my follow up call. I waited another week with no answer and elected to try and send an email from another account (just in case my Gmail account was being filtered) on March 25th and received an out of office reply about a return to work on Feb 26th. I called the helpdesk again and was again told that this person does still works for Red Tag in spite of the out of office response. With this I elected to just work with the helpdesk for this change and was informed that the flight and hotels changes were now double what I was originally quoted. At this point in time I am again waiting for another manager to call me back (7 days from the last call) to make things right. I cannot stress how frustrating it is the moment a change is required with this company. If you choose to go with Red Tag I recommend you do your due diligence and document everything. Get communication in email or go the extra mile like I have a record your phone calls just in case you need it.

Fantastic experience: I will never use another company but Redtag for our vacations! We used then for our honeymoon, and wedding anniversary. Not only is the pricing amazing, and customization of your trip, but they are so easy to contact! The minimal times I have had to reach out to them for information, I get a response in minutes (via Facebook messenger). The ability to customize/change depature and arrival flight times, adding on excursions when booking online, special requests for room types and celebrations...its unmatched. ❤️❤️

Negative experience: I will never book through Red Tag again. My sister and I pressed the "Book" button at exactly the same time. Hers went through, mine didn't. By the time I got someone on the phone, they confirmed that the room was no longer available. I can book an upgraded room for $200 more or she can cancel her booking for $250. This is the biggest scam ever. I will go back to Expedia for all future vacations.

Positive experience: Although we do enjoy using Redtag for booking our vacation, we were dismayed by the small print in the "terms and conditions" after receiving the promo code that would not allow us to use towards our vacation date. The date range should be made up-front before enticing clients to sign up for a newsletter, not finding out afterwards in the small print in the "terms and conditions".

Negative experience: Well since no one ever responds to complaints sent by email I will be reviewing on here. Redtag misrepresented a resort we stayed at in the Dominican as a 4 star, actually is a 2, our room was in disrepair with many broken items, chairs, thermostat, shower head, the resort rationed our water supply and scams abound this place with security guards taking bribes etc. the resort was called Wyndham Viva Heavens in Dominican Republic. Redtag you need to lower their rating to warn people what they’re getting into.

Positive experience: I was very frustrated trying to figure out how to use our airmiles on your page and it never did work. please fix this problem.
Unfortunately, July 31st, 2023 was the last day you were able to redeem and collect Airmiles points for Vacations on Redtag.ca However you can use your points on Cruises on Redtag if you wish
Negative experience: They advertised a price then everytime you click a vacation, it would go up $2-300. TImed out 3 times before i finally booked a vacation. I settled for a spot because the destination i chose was sold out after it timed out multiple times.

Negative experience: Manager Danielle Leswick and representatives Joyce and team are the worst customer service agents. This company is a scam they hide their fees within other companies terms and conditions. Do not overpay on your vacation with these guys and book directly with the travel provider. Save your time money and frustration. Stay away!

Fantastic experience: After booking a trip with another company only to discover that they were charging in USD (and that the trip would actually be nearly an extra $1000 with the conversion to CDN), I am relieved to find a company that is clear about the currency they are charging. Negative experience: Redtag sold me the tickets, Hello Sun is the tour operator in Cuba. My experience has been terrible 1) with the luggage, 2) the people who are in charge of providing the information service in Cuba you never find them and in the long run they do not give you the help you require, 3) they send you parking vouchers from PARK'N FLYING that have expired (MAY 2022) and then you get the big surprise 4) Hello Sun and park'n fly agree that they give incorrect and fraudulent information. I do not recommend anyone to go to Cuba, a country with no human rights and protections from terrorist groups and drug traffickers such as the E.L.N and the FARC are not respected. Let's not continue helping the tyrants that Hello Sun is a screen for the Cuban government, each town writes its own history.

Negative experience: I am utterly appalled by the abysmal service I received from Red Tag Travel. From the moment I attempted to cancel my trip due to the false information provided, the experience turned into an absolute nightmare. Having purchased travel insurance for this trip i did not imagine it would this hard to cancel. The reasoning behind why I wanted to cancel my trip was the fact that the Ministry of Health in Jamaica has declared a dengue fever outbreak. Firstly, I was given misleading information that led me to believe I could cancel my reservation without any issues. However, when I attempted to follow through, I was met with nothing but resistance and a complete reversal of their word. To make matters worse, during a call with their customer service, I was inexplicably hung up on mid-conversation, displaying a shocking lack of professionalism and respect for customers. This behavior is inexcusable and shows a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Furthermore, my request to speak with a supervisor was blatantly denied, leaving me feeling utterly powerless and unheard. This level of dismissiveness and unwillingness to address customer concerns is unprecedented and frankly, inexcusable. In summary, my experience with Red Tag Travel has been nothing short of a nightmare. I implore anyone considering their services to steer clear, for this company exemplifies the worst in customer service and integrity. Save yourself the headache and frustration; choose a reputable and trustworthy travel agency instead.
