Negative experience: I cannot begin to describe the horrible experience I received from you telephone agents. I have a 2nd car which I wasn't using since the summer and I want to get insurance again after a few months. The agent first asked me if I've been driving the car without insurance. This would obviously be illegal and it's like he assumes I'm unintelligent and trying to trick me into admitting doing something illegal, also there's no reason he should assume I would be driving an uninsured vehicle. I don't know why he would say this, it was unprofessional and rude. Secondly after spending lots of time going through the quote process he finally put me on hold then came back to say "we won't be moving forward with your policy" I asked why and he said "we feel there is a pre-existing claim lurking in the bushes", I said that's not true, also that wouldn't work that would be fraud, so you're accusing me of insurance fraud because I wanted to purchase an auto insurance plan? And he didn't even say no, just repeating "we won't be moving forward with a plan with you" treating me like garbage. To give a little background, I grew up in a household where both my parents had been AAA or CAA members for 30+ years, I myself have had CAA for several years in the past, I was living in Europe for 4 years and became a member again this past year. So I can't believe the phone agent would treat a current member this way, accusing me of multiple crimes just for getting an auto policy quote, I will not be renewing my membership.

Fantastic experience: Went during my lunch break and got my international driving permit in less than 10 minutes. They can take your picture on-site.

Fantastic experience: [International permit] Very good experience today to get my international permit. I was in the area, so I took the opportunity to stop by and ask if I could do it. Yes! It took less than 15 minutes and I came out with the document done. Very fast and efficient. Cost of the permit: $48

Negative experience: Service received was correct BUT they are not up to date with their information: 1) SAAQ no longer affixes stickers on the license when changing address. 2) The address change paper was accepted at the car rental agency in Portugal (contrary to what the CAA agent mentioned - That they risked refusing the rental because we were going to cross into Spain). In short, the employees need a little update.

Negative experience: Tried calling by phone to get information -- impossible to speak to anyone.

Negative experience: The front desk girl on the right hand side (June 7, 2024) made an impression of a lousy worker. She told her colleague in my presence thinking I don't understand or hear that she is too tired of questions, when I asked her one(!) question on the product they sell in store. Further she said it again when I asked to pay for it with cash instead of a credit card.. What a hard work she has to do and get paid for it!

Fantastic experience: Went to this office to buy a membership before leaving on a trip to New Brunswick with my 16 year old Honda Civic. Important to remember that if you need towing within 48 hours of joining (I didn’t) you will have to pay $50. Service was friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Superb experience with Sarah, my international driver's license was done very quickly and she was very welcoming and friendly. She provided me with really relevant additional information and was there to answer my questions with a nice smile! :)

Fantastic experience: Plenty of useful items for travel. There is never a crowd, so it’s very quick to get the famous International driver's license. Passport-type photos (with the right to smile) are taken on-site and are much cheaper than at Pharmaprix.

Negative experience: I dealt with CAA to plan a trip relying on their reputation. Very ordinary service, I still don't have all my documents and I'm leaving in a few days. I was given incorrect information and many other things. I felt abandoned. This is the first time I've dealt with CAA travel. I don't know if it was the agent who was not competent, but I'm hesitant to go back. This one went on vacation and I have no reference for another person if needed.

Negative experience: I waited 3 hours and more, it was supposed to arrive at a specific time and it wasn’t there. It’s not the first time this happens. I pay to have a CAA card, not to wait 3 hours. They said it was supposed to be a maximum of 1:30.

Fantastic experience: I called because the car I had just purchased wouldn't start. It was the battery and they gave me a jump. The next day again the same problem and the driver tested the battery and the alternator and diagnosed the problem as a dead battery. The Caa driver arranged for a new battery to be delivered which took less than an hour including install. I am so happy I continue to renew my membership even though I have a service includes with my insurance.

Fantastic experience: Stopped by for Montreal and Quebec maps and guide book. They were out of them but they hunted down an older Montreal guide in French which was helpful since I can mostly read French. They were very considerate.

Positive experience: Getting an international driver’s permit is easy and fast. Unfortunately, other staffs are not welcoming to english people and they’re quite rude but the receptionist who entertained us today was good and give us more instructions in using the permit. Also, you can find great quality travel products such bags, luggage, kits, pouches, reusable containers and more.

Negative experience: No access to the restrooms, not even for CAA members!!! Truly unbelievable…

Negative experience: Terrible service. I had a phone appointment with an agent who never called me. When I contacted the agency again, I was transferred to another person who was extremely unpleasant and offered me a plane ticket at an exorbitant price. I really felt like she was eager to go home and wanted to get rid of me as quickly as possible. I eventually worked with another agency where I received impeccable service and found a ticket for a thousand dollars less than what Voyage CAA-Québec was offering me. It was the first and last time I dealt with them.

Negative experience: I accidentally walked in through the wrong door, and the person at the reception very foolishly said to me: 'Next time, you'll have to enter through the customers' door.' Then, I asked for my package, and she couldn't find it. Finally, after misgendering me, she asked someone else for help and asked me if I was in the right place. I told her that I wasn't given an address and that I was only told that my order was ready at the CAA travel center. The person replied: 'There are really a lot of centers in Montreal; you should know which one it is.' In the end, the helper found my package, which was in the same place as the other packages.

Negative experience: My car was stolen by caa employee in Quebec 26/11/20201 called the police 21122301940 and they continued the show hareasing a lerak6with disabilities like moi

I have a PLUS/Gold CAA membership I requested a service yesterday night when I was stuck on the highway the customer service guy wouldn’t let me contact his supervisor he told me to be patient and wait for his call I waited in the rain on the side of the highway ALMOST GOT KILLED and I never received the call from any CAA supervisor SCAMMERS THEY CHARGE YOU FOR 2 services when you only use One I’m still waiting for the supervisor call so I can cancel my membership

Negative experience: I called CAA Quebec because I wanted to pay my subscription and they refused my payment with my Visa debit card. I have always paid with it without any problem. Really incompetent. Moreover, during my towing, they sent a tow truck that dropped my car. Their auto insurance is as bad as all the services they offer. I am going to file a complaint with the OPC; it is illegal for them to refuse payments.
