Negative experience: I went in today to ask about flights to Tasmania. There were 2 women at their desks. 1 said to me plz see the other woman so i tyrned to her...she picked up her phone and called the 1st woman ...they spoke in arabic to each other...hung up and woman #1 said go see the guy in the ofgice. So i went in ....asked my question. He asked me to spell Tasmania and then asked me if Tasmania was in Europe lol. I told him ..no...Australia. He checked for flights and dates...was totallly not interested or engaged with me in conversation. I waited politely for him to finish ( he didnt find anything that i couldnt have found on google) and said thank you and left. I had looked online myself...travel agents charge a fee. Apart from the total rudeness from ALL employees...why would i book anything with AMRO. RUBBISH Your reply is NOT what happened at all!! ....the ladies were NOT on the phone with customers when i came in ...one lady called the other lady. All 3 of you were unwelcoming and seemed disinterested in my presence there. The fact that you havent even apologised for how the visit to your business made me feel just reinforces my bad review. A simple "sorry" would have gone a very long way
The two agents had phone calls with their customers and they have sent you to their colleague that has gave you information about your request. He also gave you information for when it’s high season and law season to travel to Tasmania. It is very normal to not know all small island states around the world. Have a nice day!

Negative experience: MEDIOCRE SERVICE! NO PROFESSIONALISM? Stay away!!! If I could give no stars it would be even better! It was our first time traveling, we didn't know how to go about it, we were referred to this agency, it was the WORST experience of my life. We received several messages about flight time changes, we wrote to the agency several times and got no answers to our questions! We called the agency manager (Amro) directly and he started shouting at us and threatening us because we sent him the messages he wasn't responding to. He flatly told us that even if he had a new seat, he wouldn't give it to us…. What kind of company treats its customers like this, has he forgotten that we are in Canada and according to how he welcomed us and treated us, it is punishable by law!!
Araz, first of all, no one threatened or yelled at you. Secondly, if it’s an unprofessional service, we wouldn't communicate with you regarding the new flight times that were changed by the airline, and that’s not in our hands. The airline changed your Iraq-Montreal flight from 4:00 AM to 5:00 AM. You spoke with the manager, who made several changes for you and found the best price for your trip, and yet you say the opposite. You sent emails and called several times outside working hours on the private phone and he always responds to you. It is not true that we wouldn't respond to you; we have all the emails where we replied to you and where you sent a response. You asked for a change from economy to business class, and when we told you the price, you were surprised, and we explained that this ticket was purchased at a discount and you agreed to keep it as is. Your wife called us several times to make a change, and we always responded and had a good conversation.

Fantastic experience: Just came back from hajj 4 days ago and the experience was great, the group leader was very knowledgeable and explained the process thoroughly. The hotel we stayed in was a 5 star hotel right on the haram in macca and the same for the hotel in madina. We had some people in our group complain that some rooms were tight and had 4 beds, I remind these people that this is not controlled by the travel agency but by the hotel. Those rooms cost a lot in hajj season and people will never pay for a double or single occupancy, its too expensive. The only issues we as pilgrims had, was the tents in Mina / arafa which were very bad, but thats out of the travel agency's control as well, they are controlled by the saudi government, all tents are the same for everyone else, the other issue is, some people who were very badly mannered and rude in our group. Sadly our group had people who thought they were on vacation, and expected the trip to be as such. Hajj is not easy and people need to understand that. The aspects of the whole trip from A to Z was explained, from the departure in Montreal including delays and long waits and connections at the airport, till the return back home, but as with every trip, you will always encounter people who ruin it for you, people want to be held by the hand and told what to do like kids, subhanallah...All I have to say to these people is shame on you, you went to hajj and you're coming back spreading lies and hate...

Negative experience: Here are some comments and suggestions regarding my experience with the $12800 package. Yes, there were indeed problems with the rooms, not only at the Dallah Taiba Hotel but also at Dar al Ghofrane for some. They indeed cram four people into two-person rooms, with beds pushed together. Furthermore, I wouldn't think that beds pushed together provide more comfort as suggested by the owner in response to a comment; even the group leader was aware of this issue and tried his best to resolve it. Adding to this is the lack of professionalism of the reception staff, who showed no desire to help or resolve the issue. Another problem is the elevator congestion at times at the Dallah Taiba hotel; some even had to take the stairs to avoid waiting. It’s true that the hotels were announced several months before the departure, but what we found has nothing to do with the beautiful pictures on the hotel websites (large rooms with a big space between the beds). What we found at the Dallah Taiba hotel was beds pushed together that are not worthy of a 4 or 5 stars; by the way, the star rating is misleading because what we saw cannot be compared to a real 4 or 5 stars, and I really question the classification process of these hotels. It wouldn’t be honest for me to say that everything was bad, and the purpose of my comment is not to doubt the good intentions of the group leader or the team who were there to help (nahsabouhoum kadhalik), but I think there are many points to improve, which is why I would like to add a few suggestions at the end of my comment: 1- Provide a detailed contract to the client (signed by both parties) that protects each other’s rights and clearly includes the type of service and rooms (small or large and with real photos). 2- Arrange a form of assistance for elderly people not only during the manasiks but even afterward, especially when they are often sick and tired, to check if they are ok, especially during the return journey and the long waiting hours between flights. 3- Conduct a satisfaction survey (for example, distribute forms at the end of the trip) in order to get feedback and improve services. Negative experience: I just came back from a pilgrimage to Mecca. The experience is horrible for the price of $12,800. At the hotel, they put 4 beds in a 2-bed room. No space between the beds. At the buffet, they treat us like thieves, every time we have to show our identification (hotel in Medina) a plastic bracelet with the hotel logo would have spared us many inconveniences. No smiles from the people working at the reception; for any questions, they tell you to see your group leader. This one, of course, has other things to worry about than taking care of the pilgrims he accompanies. No support for sick or elderly people. At Mina, you just have to manage alone; our guide doesn't even sleep with us (for him and his son, it’s VIP), which means he knows nothing. No planning regarding travel time: on the way back, our trip lasted about 32 hours. People arrived in Montreal exhausted. This is not the case for our guide, because he during the 8-hour layover in Frankfurt, took a hotel room to rest (information he conveniently omitted to share with the pilgrims). For a much better setting than what we got for $12,800, those who came from the United States were well taken care of for $8,000. For those intending to go on Hajj, look rather to our neighbor to the south (New York).
Hello, first of all, we offer the price of $12,800 because we have very high-quality service and hotels. Our hotels have been advertised since January and they are well-known, you can also check online reviews. In Madina, the beds are very large and spacious to provide you with optimal comfort. That’s why some rooms, not all, were a bit narrower. At the buffet, the hotel is entitled to ensure that you have the bracelet, as some pilgrims from other groups did not include it in their package. The working team definitely has the right to direct you to the group leader to give you the right information. It is not true that there is no one to help elderly or needy people, as the leader did his best and at his own expense to offer help and the best possible service to everyone. He even accompanied people to the hospital for those who needed immediate medical treatment. We even hired social workers to push the wheelchairs of those unable to walk, which was not included in the package. We have proof of all this! In Mina, the leader and his son, along with 8 other people, left the tent to give you more space for the occupants. In fact, they were in the tent right next to yours. Special VIP services do not exist specifically for them, as what we offer is one of the most comfortable and cleanest VIP services and tents in Mina. For returns, it has been written for a long time the waiting hours in the itinerary on your flight tickets; it is not written in our package nor in the airline regulations that provide for accommodation for a stay. Everyone had the choice to leave the airport, go to a hotel, or another place until the departure time. Additionally, your name was not on our list of pilgrims; it would even be better to write your first name to give your feedback to the leader. We hope you have a wonderful day, and hajj Mabrouk!

Negative experience: Hajj VIP price 12800$ has nothing to do with VIP. I was disappointed! Amro didn't provide any receipt or details to show us the plane ticket cost, the hotels cost and the other fees we paid for. I even asked for it but no answer! Is it legal to pay 12800$ without any receipt?

Negative experience: Salam, This is a review for Hajj package cost 12800$ called VIP: To be a VIP package all the following points should be VIP: 1) Hotel in Mekka 2) Mena tent 3) Medina Hotel 4) Commute 5) Trip to get in and out the country -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Based on my recent experience: 1) Mekka hotel: VIP (5 stars close to Haram) 2) Mena tent: under the expectations big number of people in small tent, 60cm space wide to sleep - Crowded & disgusting toilets - far from Jamarate - Stayed 5 nights in this tent (7 8 10 11 12 Dul Hidja) Knowing that VIP tents close to Jamarate are available for real VIP hajj package. 3) Medina Hotel: under expectations (even Amro's guide was surprised) Poor restaurant, not working door cards, very crowded elevators because the hotel was overloaded ... 4) Commute: VIP (comfortable and AC buses) 5) Return back home: under expectations Very exhausting trip, 7 hours of bus from Madina to Jedda + 6 hours of Flight from Jedda to Frankfurt + 8hours layover at Frankfurt finally the flight to Montreal 8hours ... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overall; Alhamdulillah we accomplished our Hajj, the conditions were "OK" but NOT VIP, this package can be improved if the points above will be addressed or the cost should be reduced If the travel agency thinks that the cost is justified in those conditions my recommendation is to provide a receipt or a contract between Amro and the customers to show fee details: Hotels, plane tickets and all other fees for more transparency.
