She helped us every step of the way, she explained everything thoroughly, followed up with all our questions and emails and met with us in person to explain how the tour worked. Fantastic experience: My husband and I just came back from the most extraordinary vacation to Italy and Sicily. There is nothing more important to us than travelling stress free. April Psiharis's professionalism and detailed planning gave us that and much more. She took care of our trip from the flights to the tour we took, to even making sure our driver picked us up at the hotel in order to take us back to the airport on our way back home. We are so satisfied that we have already started planning our next trip to Italy in the future. Needless to say, we wouldn´t do this, unless April is the one planning everything again for us. Positive experience: trip to Tuscany, September 19 - October 7, 2022 Lodging— Sina de la Ville and Hotel Executive: Very nice. Good locations, comfortable rooms, and good breakfasts. Villa di Nottola: Pretty surroundings, but poor service. Very new office staff who seemed bewildered and unsure of the answers to our questions. There was no tour or any welcoming material about the villa and its operations, not even a pamphlet with the history of the place. The office was closed and locked on the morning of our checkout when it was posted as open. No way to call anyone - the office person was asleep and nobody else knew anything about the checkout procedure. Odd service in the dining room - the servers would ask for our orders, then walk away before we were finished. The staff did not know we were supposed to have a complimentary dinner, nor if wine was included. Bar service was limited and seemed very inexperienced. The staff seemed tense and untrained. The guides and drivers were all very nice. They spoke at least some English and helped us with our Italian. They drove safely. They were well-trained and knowledgeable about their subjects. One driver, in particular, Hilaria, was very obliging and personable. We learned a lot from her that was beyond the script that guides must know. Grazie mille, Hilaria! Some of the 3-4 hour tours were a bit rushed, but we learned enough from our guides to allow us to explore interesting neighborhoods by ourselves when we had free time. When we had our walking tour of Milan, there was no visit to La Scala. I assume we paid for skip-the-line tickets, but our guide only showed us the building from the outside. Side trips: Our trip to San Gimignano was very short. We were dropped off at one end of town and given time to walk the main street to the other. We learned nothing, and it felt as if we were being let out just to shop. We enjoyed a very good dinner at Cantina Storica Gattavecchi e La Cucina Di Lilian, but most of our destinations felt more like we were ticking things off a list. The guides seemed to have our schedule, but we didn’t really know what to expect as we traveled to and arrived at each location. The cooking Lesson was absolutely fantastic! Barbara was a terrific instructor and her kitchen is a lovely place in which to learn. We loved our time with her and recommend her without qualification, as have many others. Bravissima, Barbara! We were very disappointed not to have been able to go to the market to shop for our ingredients, however. After our cooking lessons, the driver did not arrive to collect us at the appointed time. When we called we learned that she would not be there for two more hours. Barbara graciously and generously drove us back into town herself. The wine dinner was very odd. We were driven to a restaurant and dropped off. Hilaria, who drove us that day, had no details about the tour, dinner, or information about how long we would be there. We invited her to join us and the (chef? owner?) made her his guest. Nobody welcomed us or talked about the meal to come. After sitting in the large dining room by ourselves, some dishes began to be served. A few more parties arrived and dinner proceeded. However, there was no tour of the cellars, no description of the wines, and no tasting. We weren’t told anything about the menu or the wines. When we asked about the tour they didn’t seem to know what we were talking about but offered to let us try a different bottle of wine if we wanted to. Overall, we enjoyed our tour days. We did question whether any of Saraccini’s staff had experienced the wine dinner and agriturismo. We can’t imagine that you would recommend these two places had you experienced them as we did. On several occasions when we had to call the service number, we received prompt and helpful answers. We feel that much more detail in the daily agendas would have made our experience richer and more complete.

She stayed within my budget, guided me on train service in Italy, and never minded when I made changes to my bookings. Connie has many years experience doing this, and it shows! Fantastic experience: I called Sarracini Travel in October with a challenging request to purchase the middle seat for my husband and I, as a result of mobility issues because there were no premium seats available. In other words, we required 3 seats. This was not something I was able to arrange myself through the airlines. Negative experience: This past August I booked my Honeymoon through Sarracini Travel. I've now learned what I thought was a great experience...was not for the following reasons. Overall, I am disappointed. 1. EXPENSIVE! I thought I was getting good prices...I was too busy with the wedding to notice. Now that I am booking my second trip to Europe on my own I have learned that the hotel Castello Vicchiomaggio was approx. 1500 for 4 nights through Sarracini. We opted to not go with this hotel due to the price. When I was searching this time around we found the same hotel for only $100 per night!!! We now booked through Expedia for our second trip. I cannot believe the price difference. 2. I wish they followed up to see how you enjoyed your trip. They recommended we change a location in our trip to Veneto which is a small town half an hour away from Venice. We absolutely hated it. The traffic to get to day trips were horrible and there was no night life. We got stuck eating at McDonalds because we didn't know the restaurants closed so early. We also learned that our hotel was not paid for on our credit card as we were told that it was before leaving. So we were stuck with a big bill that we were not expecting...effecting the remaining money we had left and had to pay in different currency. 3. BOOKING FEE Before realizing all of this we wanted to book a cruise for 15-20 people + a 2 week trip to Europe for this summer 2020. We were told that they now have a $100 fee per person for them to start searching. I understand that their time is valuable and have no problem paying something. However, I was a returning customer who was very loyal (booked right away after our first meeting) and was bringing them new business. I understand that the money would have gone towards our tip IF we book but to ask a group of 20 people to do that is unfair. It should not cost $1500-$2000 for a quote. $100... sure. I will now book all my trips on my own. Save your money. Or at least do your own research.

First the representative seemed surprised that I would call them (Travel company) about getting travel insurance. Then was put on hold twice, the second time for a very long time, finally had to hang up. Ridiculous.

Negative experience: The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I called looking to get some information and book a trip. I spoke with Anna who had the worst attitude and behaved as though she wanted to get off the phone. I have never been treated that way at all in customer service and I will never use this company to book my trips. Would NOT recommend. I was very nice to her as well as I like to give people the benefit of the doubt but she ruined this experience.
