Expérience négative: At first I thought Angie Raabis was great, so friendly. Then she showed her real self. She booked our family trip nearly $2,000.00 higher than I agreed on and I only found out when I checked my Master Card bill. She defends herself saying she did send me an email but can't produce one. Also she wouldn't answer my emails and when I called her on it, she got mad at me for being hostile. Her other favorite was lying about so many things too. I tried to solve the problem when I got back but management stuck up for Angie.I have repeatedly asked how she can spend extra money without talking to me was never answered by Angie or Marti the manager. There are so many good ethical and professional agents out there, don't use this company

Expérience fantastique: Our experience with Marty was amazing, 3 of us went to Mexico with absolutely no issues, If it wasn't for Marty noticing one of our passports seemed off to her and suggested to go to the passport office to double check and thank goodness we did, my friends passport would of never passed and that would of been so unfortunate because we would of all came home, so sure enough my friend got her new passport in ten days and off we went with no issues between flight hotel , was the best time , thank you so much Marty for such a sharp eye, see u soon for our next trip, Cheers

Expérience négative: Previously I had great experiences with the old staff. Not so much anymore. Visited in person on a Monday, discussed the details of what I was looking for with Angie. She said she would email me some options the following day. By Friday I still had not seen anything so I stopped in again. Angie was not working, but the other lady said she would reach out to her and someone would get back to me. That never happened either. So, today (the following Tuesday) I called, Angie answered the phone, I asked what the delay was thinking there may have been a miscommunication in providing my email address or something. Instead her response was "I don't have to explain myself to anyone". So clearly nothing had been done at all. That is some top shelf customer service right there. Don't come though on what you said you would do, then get snotty when simple questions are asked. Don't waste your time, spend your money elsewhere. I know I won't be back.

I had some ideas where we were wanting to go, and Marti did the searching. Her knowlege of destinations and specific resorts helped rule some places out that looked good on paper. She ended up getting a fantastic deal for us at the Riu Emerald Bay in Mazatlan. We had the perfect getaway at a beautiful resort. I worked with the ladies to paint & renovate their office, the staff were friendly and accommodating during my time working for them. Marti was a great communicator, she was upfront, organized and honest. I can tell she cares a lot about her clients, staff, and the office. I can say it was an overall great experience!! On 2 separate occasions, I also received travel consultation, and was assisted in steps to getting my passport and on short notice. Marti & the ladies at Marlin Travel are amazing! I wouldn’t pick anywhere else to look for help planning the best trip! And I would, without hesitation work as a contractor for them again as well. We were originally supposed to get married there and then plans changed a few times and Karen spent countless hours on hold with airlines and was so patient with us throughout everything. Definitely recommend using this agency!

Expérience négative: I reached out to Marlin travel looking for some pricing on vacation packages for a family trip. Karen Fix told me it would be best to check online at sites like Westjet vacations and the like to get pricing including flights. I'm a little confused with that recommendation from a travel agent, isn't that what a travel agent does? Would not recommend, probably best to take Karen's advice and book online.

Expérience négative: Do not use Karin Fix at Marlin Travel. This was literally the most demeaning and terrible experience I've ever had. Our first conversation was great and then I hadn't heard from her via email after 2 weeks, so I called to follow up. She treated me like I was wasting her time and like I was burdening her. She sent me condescending emails as well. I won't post them because I can't even do that to someone. Very unprofessional behavior.

Expérience négative: For about 8 years I have enjoyed getting airline tickets through this office. The service has been friendly and very easy. This year my experience was terrible. Right from the first day the door was locked and when Angie answered the door she said "you won't be here long anyway". I was left to feel I was intruding and wasting her time. Any questions I had was interrupted with negative responses. Many times I was told, since covid don't expect anything.. I guess any customer service is no longer expected with this office. The extra cost was worth the personal touch but I will go online from now on.

Expérience fantastique: We just came back from a 20-person family trip to the Riu Jalisco resort, in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico - thanks to an awesome travel agent named Marti. This trip went really well, including having a private bus booked to/from the airport and a nice birthday dinner and surprise gift planned for one of the attendees (my husband, who turned 44 midway through the trip). We appreciate how smooth everything went, and were super excited to travel again! The resort itself had fairly nice employees, and the layout was easily walkable. We fell in love with the Italian a la carte called "La Piazza" (amazing food), and enjoyed the quality of the evening shows. If you're looking to travel to Mexico, please go to Marlin Travel and ask for Marti Rogal!

Marlin needs to take a look at ensuring the professionals that represent them, are doing so in an ethical and professional way. Angela or Angie- representative- always remember, your standards reflect on the company you work for. Thank you to the others that had assisted us in business and personal vacations in the past.

Expérience négative: I have provided business to Marlin, over the past 10 years (Mona was excellent), unfortuntely with the current dealings, this will not be the case going forward. Maybe the agent was just having a bad day, but all in all, they are there to provide a service, not dump thier opinions and negativity to clients. Good luck in the future.
