The combination of hiking, or biking, or cruise/biking at a slowed-down pace, with the help of their excellent guides, in foreign locations, makes for a relaxed, pleasurable travel experience. We have now traveled ten times with them, and we plan to do more. Their electric bikes (optional) extend our opportunity to travel with them into happy old age. Terry Patrick

Expérience fantastique: If you've not taken a trip with Butterfield & Robinson as your guides, you must! My husband and I love to travel and are pretty resourceful at finding great hotels and restaurants on our own. However, we just completed our third trip with B&R and are always so impressed and awed at the quality of accommodations, education, and experiences we would not of had on our own. We can't wait and are already planning for the next trip!

Expérience fantastique: Had a fabulous time on the five day trip to western Ireland's Connemara region. Weather was variable but the guides, Scott & Remi, were fabulous and the accommodations simply lovely. It was my first B&R trip, but it definitely won't be my last.

Expérience fantastique: Wow! My fiancée and I just got back from a Tuscany Self-Guided trip and we can’t stop talking about how amazing it was. What a special way to explore and experience Tuscany. The bike routes were perfectly planned out and easy to follow with the help of the tablet. The E-Bike I had was top of the line. The hotels (especially La Bandita) we’re exceptional. And Carlos was simply the best! We have both travelled together a lot and had some amazing experiences, but this was easily our best trip together ever! Can’t wait for our next Self-Guided adventure!

Expérience fantastique: Biking and Boating in and around Croation Islands is a trip of a lifetime. When you combine two of my favorite activities and add expert guides, wonderful food and wines the combination produces a brilliant vacation. The biking was challenging but not so much that you are depleted for the day. Lunches were so much fun on "the road" and swimming and water sports activities were also fun. Sunsets on the bow while drinking PROSECCO? Yes, Please!!!

Expérience fantastique: If you want to see Bhutan, there is no better way then B&R. It was top notch, from the guides, hotels, sights, food, hikes. I took my wife for her 50th Bday, she could not have been more pleased. Thanks B&R for a once in a lifetime experince

Expérience fantastique: The Burgundy biking tour was challenging, but the guides and service provided by B and B was absolutely excellent. Feel it was one of the best vacations I have ever taken. Any great vacation is always about the people, and this really shone through in the trip I took. All accommodations were superior and interesting.

Expérience fantastique: We had a most wonderful experience biking the backroads, vinyards and small villages of Bordeaux, France. We had small picnic lunches, toured multiple wineries, and were fortunate to see some of the grapes being harvested. Dinners were a treat of various restraunts and historic city tours. Our guide was incredible and looked out for our every need. I would recommend Butterfield & Robinson and I would travel with them again.

Expérience négative: Nous avons fait une visite à pied/randonnée privée en Suisse pendant 9 jours début septembre 2022. Marya, la coordinatrice de voyage de B&R, a mis 5 semaines à répondre à ma demande initiale. Nous avions entendu de bons rapports sur B&R, donc nous avons poursuivi la planification. C'était un prix conséquent, nous nous attendions donc à ce que tout soit parfait. Le chauffeur qui était censé nous récupérer à l'aéroport avait 45 minutes de retard car B&R n'avait pas confirmé la réservation. Deux des hôtels sélectionnés pour nous étaient en construction, à peine les "retraites de montagne idylliques" promises. J'avais même spécifiquement demandé des hôtels calmes lors de la réservation. Sur une note plus positive, notre guide, Irene, était exceptionnelle. Elle était flexible dans le choix des randonnées et des activités pour s'adapter à nos capacités et préférences chaque jour. D'autres activités comme une randonnée avec un folkloriste local et une visite d'une fromagerie étaient amusantes. Je pense qu'à l'avenir, je coordonnerai mon propre voyage. Celui-ci m'a fait sentir que j'avais été arnaqué.

Expérience négative: Prix élevés, soutien insuffisant, équipement médiocre. Notre deuxième mauvaise expérience consécutive qui sera notre dernière.

Expérience fantastique: Rioja Spain bicycling trip in Oct 2018 - personal service and attention from our guides Oscar, Alvaro and Craig complemented the geography of this trip to a tee. What a fantastic trip - treated like royalty (even met some!), we'd definitely recommend B&R to all who ask!!

Expérience fantastique: We highly recommend the bike, boat, hike, trip on the Dalmatian coast. The Butterfield guide was exceptional (thanks Dama!), weather was perfect, coast and countryside were beautiful and every detail was attended to with friendly professionalism. A very memorable trip!

Expérience fantastique: One-third of the way through a Butterfield Australia trip. Incredible. Hotel choices have been superb, and guides have been typical B&R guides: knowledgeable, smart, interesting, and mildly eccentric. Restaurant choices have been absolutely killer. Can't say enough about the B&R trip plane. Now finishing up in Tasmania, which is a treasure.

Expérience fantastique: Butterfield et Robinson ont juste planifié et exécuté un super, super voyage pour nous sur la côte d'Amalfi. Tous les services et hôtels étaient merveilleux et les guides étaient très amusants et bien informés. De nombreuses belles surprises en cours de route et un itinéraire que nous aurions eu du mal à élaborer seuls était sans effort. Tous les guides étaient bien formés, le transport et les chauffeurs étaient polis et à l'heure. Les hôtels recommandés étaient incroyables. Nous avons adoré chaque minute de nos vacances.

Expérience fantastique: Found this trip (Croatia bike tour) to be the absolute perfect combination of beauty, charm, education/history, physical exercise and unbelievable food and wine. I'm not sure we will ever "top" this experience. Thank you B&R team (Sakis, Dama, Philip, Duje, Heidi, Tanya, Niko, Laurent -- excuse my incorrect spelling, I think I'm close).

Expérience fantastique: Nous venons de terminer notre premier voyage à vélo avec Butterfield & Robinson dans la région du Piémont en Italie. C'était incroyable ! Les hébergements, la nourriture, le vin, les vélos, les guides et les itinéraires étaient excellents. Chaque vélo avait une tablette avec l'itinéraire du jour afin que vous puissiez aller à votre propre rythme, vous arrêter pour prendre des photos et vraiment profiter du magnifique paysage. C'était une randonnée très difficile, mais après le premier jour, je suis passé d'un vélo hybride à un vélo électrique, ce qui a absolument rendu mon voyage plus agréable. B&R est très attentif à tous vos besoins et a fourni le meilleur voyage auquel j'ai jamais participé. Mon mari et moi sommes impatients de planifier notre prochain voyage !

Expérience fantastique: Nous venons de rentrer d'une fabuleuse visite familiale à vélo avec Butterfield et Robinson, de Vienne à Prague. Les guides étaient exceptionnels, tout comme la nourriture, les hôtels et les activités. Nos filles adolescentes étaient nerveuses à l'idée de voyager avec le petit groupe, mais elles nous ont rapidement laissés pour rouler avec leurs nouveaux amis ! Les randonnées étaient juste assez difficiles, avec de nombreuses pauses pour manger et boire de l'eau. Nous avons déjà voyagé avec B et R auparavant et considérons cela comme notre façon préférée de voir le monde !

Expérience fantastique: Notre voyage au Portugal avec Butterfield et Robinson était vraiment magique. Les guides n'auraient pas pu faire plus pour s'assurer que nous profitions du voyage. Les hébergements étaient charmants, le vélo spectaculaire et les événements étaient bien planifiés et offraient vraiment un aperçu de la vie portugaise. J'ai vraiment aimé que le voyage soit autant axé sur l'exploration du pays que sur le vélo. Je reviendrai certainement pour un autre voyage avec B&R. Merci !
