This 16-day custom tour would encompass visiting Sicily and many of the most beautiful, historic places throughout Southern Italy including the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Pompeii, Calabria and the Eternal City of Rome. 

Sicily ( Taormina, Catania, Syracuse, Caltagirone, Piazza Armenia, Agrigento, Palermo, Monte Pellegrino, Mondella, Erice, Marsala, Cefalu, Casteldaccia) 

Sorrento, in the west coast region of Campania in Southern Italy , is known as being the city of Lemons and Citrus Fruits. Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast are home to the 'Limoncello', the famous lemon liquor.   

As we will visit these areas during our custom tour, we will be sampling Limoncello! I am calling this tour the "Spectacular Italy 'Limoncello' Tour " – May 2024’. 

I am inviting you to come with us on an invigorating journey to a land full of traditions, history, artistic legacy, where good food and wine is the way of life and during the month of May the wild poppies fill the fields in a blaze of glory. Flowers and trees will be in full bloom and the weather is comfortable and not yet prime tourist season.

We have put together a 16 day custom tour for September, 2023 that you do not want to miss!!  'The Best of Tuscany and Wine Tasting Tour' will take place from Thursday Sept 14th, 2023 to Friday Sept 29th , 2023. On our tour, we'll visit historic highlights of 'The Eternal City' of Rome, the hilltop town of Tivoli with its stunning gardens, the Papal summer home, Castel Gandolfo, overlooking the breathtaking Lake Albano and the lavish hilltop towns of the Castelli Romani. On our way to Tuscany, we will visit the beautiful Umbrian hilltop town of Orvieto, perched on a big chunk of volcanic stone, overlooking the cypress dotted plains of Umbria. We will sample the white wine of Orvieto before we continue on to Tuscany.

We'll visit eight provinces throughout Tuscany and their amazing Medieval cities and hilltop towns, including Cortona, one of the prettiest towns in Tuscany which was made famous by the movie 'Under The Tuscan Sun'. We'll travel along country roads with terraced grape vineyards on both sides and be mesmerized by the views of the Tuscan country side .  We will visit beautiful Pisa with its famous Leaning Tower.

We will travel into the beautiful Chianti Wine Region and visit a renaissance castle, dating back to the 14th century , located high up on a hillside overlooking the Greve Valley. We will visit the castle's active wine cellar and sample its wines. At the castle, we will be treated to a Tuscan traditional dinner meal. We'll visit Florence, arguably one of the most beautiful cities in all of Italy and be fascinated by its  historic highlights. We'll visit the coastal seaside area of Tuscany known as Maremma and its towns that border the Tyrrhenian Sea. One of the main highlights of our tour will be our visit to Saturnia, one of the amazing wonders of the Tuscan countryside, the 'Terme de Saturnia' or the 'Saturnia Hot Springs. The naturally warm water, heated by geothermal heat from the earth's interior volcanic areas, cascades into travertine terraced stone silk blue water ponds, creating a perfect atmosphere for us to marvel at the beauty of nature and just relax and enjoy. Throughout this whole tour, we will explore some of the best wine regions in Italy and their world class wineries. We will make a trip up to to an olive grove and its farmhouse located on a scenic hillside near Montecatini and discover the secrets of making the best 'Extra Virgin Olive Oil' and we will visit a local cheese production in Grosseto and sample their freshly made cheese. We will also visit another farmhouse in the heart of Tuscany where we will be treated to a culinary class on authentic Italian pizza making and enjoy the fruits of our labour, complimented by Tuscan Wine.   This 16 day tour will be a relaxing tour but still full of highlights and is guaranteed to provide us a lifetime of amazing memories.
