Negative experience: I just want to start off saying, unless its a positive review, I never leave any negative reviews. However, I deemed it important for me to add our experience with this company. My sister went through this company when booking her wedding in Mexico just recently. I was happy to learn that everything would be taken care of to mitigate any travel stress, as we have done this with another wedding where flights, hotels, etc were all booked and we just showed up. Boy were we wrong. Unless your idea of travel agency means they will make you book your flights, they will place you in various areas of the resort (when we all booked in with a group), and make excuses (like placing blame on the hotel or natural disasters) to try to hide away from their incompetence. We dealt with so much frustration and stress and hands down we would have saved time, money and our sanity if this company weren’t involved. And when talking to other wedding guests that travelled, they shared the same frustrations. The bride and groom dealt with so much unnecessary stress because of this incompetence. I hopes no one wastes their hard earned money on this “travel agency.”

Fantastic experience: I travel for business a lot and on this family vacation we decided to use Mandy. Her attention to details and knowledge of the location we went to was so helpful. We had issues with airlines both ways and instead of wasting my vacation time trying to get it sorted, emailed Mandy and she got it sorted for us. No brainer the next time we vacation. Negative experience: The worst company I have ever used, disorganized and incompetent. They cost my spouse and I our sanity through the wedding planning process. This is your sign to book another company, a wedding is too special and stressful to risk additional stress and problems, especially for a destination wedding where organization is critical and you are in a vulnerable position. I don't doubt Amanda is a good person but that doesn't mean she is the right person to plan such important events - especially at such a high price point. I cannot in good faith recommend this company.

Fantastic experience: Our experience with Amanda and Aaron from Glow Travel for our destination wedding in Mexico (Aug 2022) was nothing short of amazing. From the beginning, they demonstrated exceptional organization, ensuring all 50 guests were well-informed about payment details, resort accommodations, and transportation logistics. The shared folder system they implemented was genius, allowing us to easily track payments and verify information for room types and guest names. While there were occasional delays in responsiveness, an email clarified they were prioritizing groups traveling first, which made sense given the circumstances. It's important to note that we paid $500 for the agency to organize a trip, but they went above and beyond, handling communications with the resort, airlines, and acting as the main point of contact for the wedding. Considering the uncertainties of traveling during COVID-19, Aaron's thoughtful initiative of creating a detailed PowerPoint presentation on safety protocols and tips was invaluable. He patiently addressed all our concerns, making the journey much less daunting for our 50-person group (both US & Canadian residents). As a destination wedding bride, there were moments of anxiety and feeling overwhelmed. However, Amanda and Aaron always pulled through with a smile on their faces. Trusting the process was key, and they consistently delivered. The highlight of our excursion, the Tulum Mayan Jungle Expedition, was a testament to their expertise. Negative experience: We just arrived home from a mexico vacation, when i say arrived home it is no thanks to these people. Flying on WestJet or any other airline can be frustrating. This is why people us travel companies to manage the challenges. So when our flight get re-routed to a different city we should normally be given assurances by the airline that we will get a hotel or something for the night. Nope not when the travel company does not book you vacation correctly We were fending for ourselves. Then told by Aaron that there was no flights available for almost 2 days? Do they think people are not going to go on to expedia and look for themselves to see that there is many flights available. To ensure we would get home we had to rent a car to drive back to BC in time to get to our jobs. Yes maybe this was being a little dramatic but who can trust a couple whose email response is always out of office. What is worse is the owner of these company said she had been working on it for hours, just a lie stay away from this company. read other reviews ( not just the reviews from our group) but the ones from customers in the past. Also when part of our group had to cancel a week before they were told no refunds, but amazing enough the owner of these company shows up at the same resort at the same time. seems a little suspect. Hopefully in her defence when we ask it will show she booked her Vacation long before ours. If there such thing as a Tavel Brooker License they should lose it. Hopefully no one falls for their crappy service.

When a group is booked, it is assigned a single booking number, which is linked to both your booking and your flight. Unfortunately, group bookings cannot be created with individual booking numbers; this is a process managed by WestJet, not GLOW Travel. In this case, with over 20 bookings associated with the same booking number, WestJet encountered challenges in rebooking the entire group on a flight for Sunday.I understand that you and many of the guests in your group were able to see available flights on platforms like Expedia. However, the space we needed to rebook the entire group as a whole was not available at that time.When your flight was redirected, and the pilot mentioned that guests would receive vouchers for accommodations and food, it's crucial to note that these vouchers were initially intended for individual bookings. Group bookings were supposed to receive these vouchers directly from the gate agent upon arrival. Unfortunately, this crucial step was overlooked, leaving your group without the support it needed.Throughout this process, we encouraged guests to utilize any form of insurance they might have, whether it was available through their credit cards or any insurance purchased at the time of booking. For guests who did not have insurance and had to wait for the flight assigned by WestJet, we advised them to keep their receipts for submission for reimbursement.I want to highlight that on Monday, your group was provided with an outbound flight. We had been in constant communication with management over the weekend, advocating for your group's needs. On Tuesday, WestJet sent an email acknowledging ownership of the issue and addressing the breakdown in processes and communication with their groups’ department. In this email, WestJet outlined that the events that unfolded were not due or a result of GLOW Travel. Following this email, WestJet offered to expedite the refund process. To expedite the process, guests were asked to fill out a refund form and notify me once it was complete so that I could share details with our Senior Manager. I apologize if there was any miscommunication or if this process was not as clear as it should have been.Regarding the coincidental overlap of my vacation with your travel dates, I want to assure you that this was entirely unrelated to your situation. I was in PVR for a training event and this was planned well in advance. Negative experience: Absolutely DO NOT use Glow travel. Complete incompetence from the start . Refused to offer any programs that are offered if you book WestJet or thru air Canada directly for a large group. They take days to respond. They also left over 20 of us stranded in Calgary upon our return as our flight was redirected. Had us booked in so none of us could change our flight itinerary to opt for different flights home , instead everyone on the flight to Victoria was able to make it home except our group , 2 days later, when there were other options available. Lied to our group on several occasions even suggested we wait on the airport for over 36 hours so they could try and get our hotel and food vouchers, which everyone on the plane received except our group. Complete incompetence from start to finish. Aaron is quite possibly the worst travel agent alive and Amanda,owner , who miraculously showed up at the same hotel after 2 of our guests were refused any sort of reembursment, is a close 2nd. Absolutely disgusting how this all went down after PAYING for this service. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Despite the late hour, I began working tirelessly at 1:30 am, exploring every possible avenue to secure alternative accommodations and meal provisions for your group. During this period, I encountered the challenge that vouchers typically issued electronically for individual bookings were not automatically extended to group bookings. This oversight by WestJet necessitated direct intervention at the airport, which, unfortunately, was not adequately addressed by the gate agent upon your arrival. WestJet’s group process is to have manual vouchers handed out in liue of electronic vouchers. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, I personally met with Claire and Zal at 7 am in PVR, where I was attending a training event. Together, we spent over four hours liaising with various departments within WestJet, advocating for your group's needs and seeking a swift resolution. Our efforts, however, were hampered by the constraints of accommodating a large group under one booking reference, a policy dictated by WestJet.In light of these challenges, I advised all guests to leverage any travel insurance coverage they might have had, either through their credit card benefits or separate travel insurance policies. For those without such coverage, I recommended retaining all receipts for subsequent reimbursement claims.Ultimately, due to the size of your group and the limited availability on subsequent flights, WestJet was unable to rebook your group on the next available flight, resulting in an extended delay. Our continued negotiations with WestJet did yield some progress, as evidenced by their eventual acknowledgment of the breakdown in their group handling processes. Negative experience: I was trying to book a 4 day option for our friends destination wedding and kept reaching out to Amanda and Aaron and got a few responses that they were still looking into pricing only to never hear back from them in the end. I figured 6 emails back and forth over the course of 1.5 months should have been enough to show that we were actually going to book for our family which would result in their company benefiting by profit in the end no? Not sure what motovates people these days.

Negative experience: Was planning a destination wedding, and had a number of issues. There were delays initially getting quotes for the resorts due to the fact that Amanda was travelling. By the time we chose the resort, the prices had all gone up, which cost everyone additional amounts. There were many challenges throughout the process with people having issues with bookings, everything taking extended periods of time to get responses, children of two different families somehow ended up on each others reservations. In the end, everything was a success, and although we received complaints from 10+ friends/families during the process, we did hear 2 positives from people near the end when they had last minute changes, so focus was put on game time. Should have been a warning when the default email is out of office and will take up to 5 days to respond for a travel agent, considering the world of travel prices changes daily.

Fantastic experience: Planning a destination wedding was definitely not the easiest during covid. We had to deal with our own worries and our friends and families anxieties. Amanda did a great job of answering everyone’s questions and keeping us up to date with any new policies and travel restrictions. This process would’ve been difficult without a travel agent like Amanda. In the end we had our dream wedding in Mexico. With anything in life there’s always a few hiccups, but overall everything went well. We expected to be in a regular suit, but luckily Amanda managed to surprise us and upgrade our stay to a rooftop penthouse which was a wonderful experience. We were able to spend plenty of time with family and friends up there. Thank you Amanda for all your hard work and support throughout this journey!
